Types of Friends Essay
There are a lot of important things in life. However, one of the most important things for people to survive in this world is friendship. Without
friendship, people can die of loneliness. What do you think about your friends? Do you like your friends? There are a lot of different types of
friends. There are friends that I like and some friends with whom I do not get along. Friends with positive characteristics such as reliable, trustworthy
and faithful whom I usually get along with are the one that tend to have more friends and the negative one whom I usually not get along with tend to
be alone. However, friends with negative characteristic can also give us some good examples of seeing double sides of something, like, a character

They can learn to get some confidence because confidence is really important in order to perform better. Being an overconfident person is also
beneficial, as we won't get nervous easily and our performances will be better. This kind of person isn't scared to take some risks as they have trust
and confidence in themselves. This kind of person has potential to be a really successful person in the future. I have a friend that is really confident that
when he performed for a speech competition at school, he can speak fluently without any hesitation that made him the winner of the competition. We
can learn a lot from this kind of person. I learn that correct proportion of something, even the thing we take as something bad, before, can turn into
something good. We have to be able to measure how confident we can be while with friends and when the confidence is really needed. Being a
competitive person can be advantageous, as this kind of person wants to be the best in everything. As they want to be the best in everything, they will
work and study harder than any other people. They will try as hard as they can to be the best. As a result, they will get good marks on test or get an
extremely good job in the future. It is beneficial for them. For Example: I know that being a competitive person can be advantageous as I have a
friend that is competitive. She is so competitive that in every test, she will study as hard as she can. In every test, she managed to get the best scores

Descriptive Essay About Friends
Friendship is weird. You select random strangers that have similar personality traits as you and then give them affection and plan activities that
involves the other person. But before you were friends you were strangers – if you were to never cross paths or judged them the wrong way right off
the bat – where would you be. My life has been affected in a way I will never really know why or how but it all started with my next door neighbor. In
fair Noblesville, Indiana is where we set our scene. Two hopeful parents who wish for their daughters of year 3 to be friends – okay enough of this, let's
get to the story. New neighbors had just moved into a newly developed area 2 doors down from us. They had a little girl named Haley who was my
age. My mom, having no friends in the area, had her mind set on making friends with that neighbor. She went over to the house and arranged a
playdate with Haley for me. When we got there the parents took their adult sippy cups outside and left me alone with Haley. WIth her blue eyes and
blonde hair she looked like Cinderella – I already knew I wasn't going to like this girl. I'll save you the rest of the details, but the playdate did not go
well. .... The first day of Preschool came around and it just so happens that the Cinderbitch was in my class. Our moms – still fruitlessly attempting to
get us to be friends – dropped us off and made us walk into preschool together. Then, to make matters worse, they made us take at least 1000 pictures

Friendship As A Small Group Of Friends
Friendship in Life Since I can remember I have always been a girl with a small group of friends. In my school years I would usually hang out with only
2–3 girls in my classroom, and it has always been that way ever since. I'm a very shy and quiet person; for that reason I've always preferred a small
group of friends. Throughout the years, I've lost some friends on the way but I have also kept some good friends, and refer them more as best friends.
Friendship has become a big part of my life, and it has taught me what friendship really is and who has been my real friends. Once I graduated from
high school, I moved to Racine WI, to attend college and continue working as a waitress in a Mexican restaurant. Thanks to that job, I met a girl
that till this day has been a great friend; I can honestly say she's like a sister to me. At first, we would just work together a couple times a week, but
later on we began hanging out together outside of work. When that started, I just began to trust her more and learned a lot from her in how she is.
Since I met her, she's the type of girl who can easily be talked to, she would get you comfortable talking to her and she would always make you
laugh at the moment you meet her. She's very outgoing girls who even though we have been through a lot together we have managed to still continue
being great friends. After knowing her for a couple years we became closer and closer, we have our differences, but we have learned a lot from each
other.

Definition Essay On Close Friends
Friends "People who only contact you when they need something from you are just acquaintances. Not friends". This is a quote by Rick Warren.
"Each person has a core group of about 5 friends. This expands to a bigger circle of 15, then 50, and then 150." ("No New Friends").A person can
only have a few close friends but at the same time we can have lots of acqaintances. "A close friend isn't necessarily a best friend, but he or she is
someone you include in your inner circle." (What Makes Someone a Friend and a Close Friend").For example, Dunbar's theory states that the
smaller the group of close friends is, the closer the friends are ("No New Friends"). Another example is that "The highest quality friendships are
formed with the people we spend the most time with." ("No New Friends"). This shows that the smaller the friend group is, the more close friends
you are. I feel that if you have a bigger friend group there is more of a chance that people will start to hide their feelings, not wanting to hurt anyone.

Another example is "Each person has a core group of around five friends. This expands to a bigger circle of 15, then 50 and then 150" ("No New
Friends"). People have an average of 150 friends. Of those 150 friends, around five are close friends. Another twenty are probably the friends that
you are somewhat close to, but not extremely close. The other 125 people are acquaintances. This is important because many people say that they
have "A ton of friends", including me, but if you look at science it is almost impossible for the human brain to have over 150 friendly people. Most of
those and more are acqaintances. Acqaintances are all around you. They are everyone you know and

My Experience With My Friends
Growing up I could identify my friends whom I found to be more sensitive, friendly and imaginative. These were the friends that I could turn to
when I had a problem I needed to talk through or someone who was sincere and honest in their advice while being mindful of my feelings. I could
also identify with these friends because I have always been one to make sure everyone else is taken care of before myself. These "blues" are the
most genuine people I have met throughout life, but I have also found in my classroom. Just three days ago, one of my students answered a question
that normally does not volunteer to participate. He answered correctly and his fellow peer whom he is not within the same social circle could not be
more proud of him. She was astonished and proud of his answer and continued to whisper (loudly) across the room good job with her thumbs up until
he realized her recognition and smiled back with a thank you. I was so proud to have this student in my classroom showing such compassion for
another student. This generation is criticized for only thinking of themselves and although not untrue, it is moments like that, that remind me of how
lucky I am to have blues in the classroom. As blues strengths including caring for others and sharing their emotions are compromised by them feeling
hurt or treated unjustly, they take it personally. It's important to reassure and validate their feelings. Lastly are the students who carefully analyze my
words, actions,

cheerful in the morning and now she cut herself. I shut off the computer and send a video chat request, a few seconds later she picked up. "What's
going on?" I asked with great concern. "I'm just tired, I tried that before. It doesn't hurt, don't worry." she answered giggling. "So you are doing it
again? Why?" I asked trying to keep calm. "She hated me, want me to go die." She stated and waving her arm. She is starting to freak me out, it's
the first time I have ever met a situation like this. We talked for hours and hours, she told me about her life, her parents, her siblings, and school. All
of her problems, thoughts, and concerns. She is on the edge; she is so stressed out about everything. I tried the best to comfort her, discussing about

Anyone who is lucky enough to be a part of a big family and is able to spend time with them should consider the individual personalities that
collectively define their family's dynamics. Each member has different traits and experiences that make them who they are. Over the years I have
attended countless family dinners and events and have taken note of a few extreme characteristics that set some of them apart. We all have similar
interests, but the way people interact with each other (specifically at family gatherings), is indicative of their true natures. I have used my recollections

Whiners are easy to weed out because of their glum expressions and wads of used tissues in tow. Their sole purpose seems to be simply to drain the
life out of everyone, all the time. Whiners are different from the bigheads in that they are always looking for help, yet they appear to share a similar
weakness for being at the center of attention. Courtesy isn't typical of whiners; if they need to vent at two o'clock in the morning, they don't see a
problem with picking up their phone and calling you, and if a whiner wants to have an hour long cry session on your couch, well, that's fine too. They
speak with indigent inflections and beg advice from anyone nearby. Whiners operate with emotion comparable to that of the bighead but with a drab
sense of passion and feeble undertones. Seemingly afraid to make any life decisions, they constantly seek family advice. They rarely act on any input
given; their gain lies not in improving their situations but in the validation they feel from the encouragement and attention they receive in response to
their tales of persecution and unexplained illnesses. Fortunately for the whiners, most families aren't complete without at least one member falling into
the following group.
Of an almost completely different breed are the levels. They are insightful and open–minded, generally honest and receptive. Levels have a tight grip on
the way they should operate their own lives and

Descriptive Essay About My Best Friend
About Me! By: Jonna S. My Best friend My best friend is amazing! Ever since the first day of school she's been there. Basically what happened was
on the first day I was at silver hills and had no idea who anyone was so i just sat at a table and she was like, "Hi I'm Daphnie what's your name?," of
course i said Jonna cause that's my name. Eventually we ran into each other at lunch so we sat down and talked for awhile to each other and then
we walked to my next class and I was like wow you wanna be friends. She said of course cause i mean come on i'm amazing! Honestly we had a lot
of good memories together from the 6th grade and i'm very excited to create brand new ones with her. She is amazing and I see perfection in her
even though she disagrees i don't care she is perfect in my eyes and i will always be there for her I don't care what happens between us and i just
wanna say thank you and i love you best friend! My Runaway! Hot air, windy breeze, beating sun, blooming season and a nice boring day! The
exotic yellow bus speeding through the overpowering wind and it took a nice sharp stop. We got off the bus and that's when our adventurous day
started. But really, what we thought was a fun day, others thought we were crazy and scared for us! For example, both of our entire households. This is
how it all started. It was a very casual afternoon throughout school. Nothing different from any other day, until we got on the bus. Mackenzie

Classification Essay Students
Being a student in today's society holds an immense amount of pressure to do one thing: graduate. Thirteen years of school prepare students for the
next major steps of their lives. Every student faces many struggles and frustrations before graduation day arrives. One may be able to surmise a few
details about a student before they put pencil to paper or even speak. One can also make assumptions about a student based on his or her seating
position. Motivation, determination, and concentration will establish a student's amount of success. The three categories of high school students are
underachievers, average students, and overachievers.
The first category of students is the underachievers, or the back row. These students lack the...show more content...

The final group of students are the overachievers. They sit prim and proper in the front row raising their eager hands. These workaholics are the ones
whom teachers adore and whom fellow students despise. They often exceed the expectations of any teachers. They constantly work hard and are active
in class. They take notes verbatim of what the teacher says, excel in group discussions, and much to the demise of the other students, raise the academic
bar to an unattainable level. Although they are not often the greatest athletes, or the best at communicating with the opposite gender, they separate
themselves with their cerebral work ethic. These scholars find reading entertaining, and would much rather solve a Rubik's cube than run a mile. One
of them will be inevitably become Valedictorian, and will give a speech at the podium come graduation day. When analyzing these students, one could
be looking at future doctors, engineers, and various activists.

Classification and Division: Levels of Friendship A great sense of humor, adventurous, honest and great advice are all characteristics that come to
mind when people think of the word "friend". Friends are an essential part of living. They help one another when life gets rough, and it is always a
good feeling to have a friend with you. We always want to share our thoughts with someone who understands us, and who shares common interests.

You don't necessarily spend the most time with them, but you often spend the most quality time with best friends, and have the most memories with
them. Without friends, stress levels would be high, mostly for girls who enjoy talking to their friends about various problems. "Whether it 's just
chatting on the phone or enjoying a coffee together, yakking it up with friends is vital for health and wellness." (Hauashi). Many people don't think
about the health aspect of friends. Friends are very important because they help you emotionally, mentally and sometimes physically. "Real friends can
be a source of self–esteem, affection, and good times. In times of despair, for example, true friends will offer hope." (Taylor) Similar to the three
types of friends, there are also types of best friends. There are friends who have known each other for a long time, and possibly their whole lives,
so they become best friends. Some people become best friends because they have the same trials and they help one another by offering each other
advice, which allows them to grow closer. Some friends have multiple things in common, so they are involved in a lot of the same things, such as
sports, clubs, activities; and over time they become best friends. Best friends are people who have been close to each other for a while, they are the
friends who talk deeply, and have very similar interests. People often keep in contact with best friends more than any other type of friend, and are true

What is a Friend? Essay
What is a friend? A friend is someone who supports you, sympathizes with you, or patronizes a group. An easily definition of that would be a person
you know, like and trust.
In these tough times we count on friend to help us get through. I like to think of friendship as everlasting, but is friendship truly forever? Can miles
drive you away from friends you made after graduating from places like high school or college? Just imagine walking across the stage and never

A friendship can be everlasting depending on the personalities in that relationship. Sometimes personalities can change for the good the bad in
many friendships. You can never change a person through a friendship. Differences can set you apart. The definition of a friend has changed over
the years therefore that could be a contributing factor to why we can count our friend on one hand. Think about it! When separating from friends
for a while physically values and beliefs start to change. Many may argue that is not true, but I will say I have lost many friends do to personality
changes and belief. Some reasons maybe be because everyone in college likes to smoke and drink. I am not a fan of either which I believe is gross
so I drop many friends due to that reason. I have also lost a lot of friends due to the ways they act towards me or others when different people are
around. In the urban world we call that being "fake." Fake is another way of saying you aren't what you claim to be. You don't stay true to yourself
and totally honest. On the other side people can change for the good to help each other in a friendship. Friendships can gain trust through one another
in due to the people you are around. In a relationship trust is being able tell a secret under confidence to other people hoping they wont tell. If you
gain some ones trust when you come to a problem you are likely to come to that person

Three Types of Friends Essay examples
Through my experiences I have come to realize that there are basically three types of friends a person can have. There are friends that I call
"sometimes" friends, these people appear to be your friend but only when you are face to face with them, and when you are not around them they
act more like a foe. They are often referred to as two faced or a back stabber. These types of friends are not very reliable nor should they be trusted.
Another type of friend a person can have, and the best kind, is a "true" friend. A true friend is someone you know you can always trust and rely on no
matter what. The last type of friend is the "acquaintance". These are the type of friends that you do not necessarily hate, but at the same time you do

These people are not very reliable and should not be trusted with things of a personal matter or with things of great importance. You should
confront this person and let them know how you are feeling about the way they are treating you. Let them know how things look from your point
of view. If they are a true friend they will try to correct their ways and start acting like a real friend would act. If they do not change their ways and
they continue to take advantage of you, it would probably be smart of you not to associate with them anymore. An "acquaintance" friend is
someone who you will usually encounter every so often for business needs or for some other reason. You most likely are on good terms with these
people, but they are not considered close friends whom you would talk to about personal problems. They could be someone at the grocery store
where you shop at, the place where you work, the barber shop or salon where you get your hair cut, or maybe the convenience store where you get
gas at. They usually seem as if they are good people and friendly. The acquaintance friend has the potential to become somewhat closer over time if
there are enough meetings between the two of you. Most friends that people say are good friends were just an acquaintance at some point in time, but
became closer as they got to know each other better. Last,

Compare And Contrast Friends And Family Essay
Today in our lives, we are surrounded by many people. Some of these people we are surrounded by are either people we do not care for, or they are
the people that we cannot spend enough time with. These people we enjoy the most of, are either our family or our closest friends. You may think that
friends and family are just a like, but they do differ from each other, and without either of them our life would feel incomplete. The definition of
friends is a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection. Friends are the people you trust outside of your family.
These are the people that you surrounded yourself with by choice. The ones that you tell your deepest darkest secrets to. The ones that you go to
school with or hang out with on the weekends. Your friends become so close to you they become your "family". For an example, my closest
friend, Kaitlyn Arrington, are always getting asked if we are cousins or sisters. Kaitlyn and I do absolutely everything together. I share everything
about my life with her, and she does the same to me. I could not imagine my life without her. Friends are the family you get to choose. On the other
hand, you do not get to choose your family, you just have to deal with them. The true definition of a family is a group of people usually of the same
blood, but do not always have to be. I have a large family. I have two sets of grandparents, two great–grandparents, two parents, two brothers, three
uncles, one aunt, one

Essay about Three Types of Friends
There are many types of people in the world and many types of friends. Knowing that, it becomes all the more important to select the right people so
that one might have the correct friends, but which types of friends are required? There are ten different types of friends that everybody should have,
each fitting into one of three categories: the occasional friends, the benefactors and the greats.
The first category, the occasional friends, encompasses three friend types. The first one is the grenade. Thistype of friend is usually annoying and tough
to be around but they serve a critical purpose. They make you look better by comparison. Slightly better than the grenade, is the jerk with the heart of

They are the people who help you get through the school or work day that you never really see anywhere else. As the name suggests, occasional
friends are not the type of people one would hang out with every day.
There are only two types of friends in the benefactors. They are the giver and the loan friend. The hard to find giver is the type of friend who is
always willing to pay the bill and brings presents just for the sake of bringing presents. They are indeed rarer and should not be taken for granted if
found. The second kind, the loan friend, is that one friend who has everything that you would want to buy and is usually willing to lend you whatever
you ask for. Benefactor friends are named for the direct benefits they provide over you.
The final, and most important, group is the greats. They consist of the most essential of all friends imaginable. The best friend is first amongst this
group. They know you inside and out and are the type of person you can easily spend the whole day with everyday. Secondly is man's best friend; the
pet that will love you unconditionally in exchange for a little attention and a fresh water dish every now and then. Third is the significant other. The
significant other is known by many names, most frequently called husband or wife. They are the ones you share your life with. The final type of friend
in the greats is Alex Schnob. Handsome, witty, charming... what more could you want in a friend? The

years, or an older neighbor – as long as you look up to this person and want to be more like them.
5. A Friend From a Different Culture
The last thing you want to be described as is someone who's stuck in their own ways. If everyone had a friend from a different culture, the world
would be a much better place. Being in a cross–cultural friendship allows you to explore customs, values, and traditions outside of your own culture.
Sometimes you might even adopt new ways to do things.
Be careful; don't befriend someone just because they're from a different culture. No one likes to be a token friend. Instead, keep your mind open, and
if you come across someone you click with who just so happens to be from a different culture, make the effort to learn about their customs, values, and
traditions while getting to know the person on a personal level.
6. A Polar Opposite
We humans are hard–wired to get together in groups and attack outsiders – the human pack mentality, if you will. If you only develop friendships with
others who follow the same beliefs, customs, and values as you do, chances are you're

Friendship Essay: What Makes A Good Friend?
A friend is someone difficult to find. A friend is someone you can always count on when times are tough. The dictionary's definition of a good
friend is a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard. A good friend is there when you are struggling. For example,
when a boy breaks your heart a good friend walks you through it and offers a shoulder to cry on. According to Bree Neff, a good friend is someone
who is trustworthy, doesn't talk behind your back, listens to your problems, gives good advice and tries to lend humor along with his or her support.
There are also bad friends, those who pretend to care and then turn around gossiping and starting drama. Good and bad friends are all around you,

You want friends that show they care and do not resent your achievements. A good friend sees good in your accomplishments; because of this they
will not want you to do poorly and will always be looking out for you, hoping you do your best. A trustworthy friend is someone you can count on
no matter what. They are someone you can call in the middle of the night and vent to, or just talk. They are someone who, if they say they are
going to do something, they do it and don't bail out. Good friends are people with whom you can talk to and trust with your secrets. You can tell a
friend anything and know they won't open their mouth just for the fun of it because they like and respect you too much to hurt you. If you have
something you feel like you can't tell anyone about, they are the friends you can tell. A good friend is someone who when you tell them personal
stuff you don't have to worry, you know your secret is safe. Trusted friends are those you can tell your flaws to and know your revelations are safe.
Sometimes after you tell people certain information you think: "What in the world was I thinking?" but a trustworthy person won't ever make you feel
like that. What is a loyal friend? A loyal friend is someone who never lets you down. They are someone who does things with you even though these
things maybe totally boring, but they still do them. Loyal friends won't back out at the last second. They stick with

A soul mate is someone people feel is the person who the stars and heavens, the Gods and the universe have planned to eventually meet and ultimately
become partners in life. Persons who have found this type of friendship, are considered fortunate, and sometimes even envied by others. This friendship,
yet again, comes from having a sense of mutual respect and esteem that is consistent with the definition of what friendships are based upon. These are
classifications most individuals are familiar with. Although there may be some that are not mentioned herein, there is enough of a variety to provide a
sense of how one interprets the word friend. Braxton Page 3 WORKS CITED Suite101: Language Study http://ss.suite101.com/languagestudy.xml The

  • 2. Types of Friends Essay There are a lot of important things in life. However, one of the most important things for people to survive in this world is friendship. Without friendship, people can die of loneliness. What do you think about your friends? Do you like your friends? There are a lot of different types of friends. There are friends that I like and some friends with whom I do not get along. Friends with positive characteristics such as reliable, trustworthy and faithful whom I usually get along with are the one that tend to have more friends and the negative one whom I usually not get along with tend to be alone. However, friends with negative characteristic can also give us some good examples of seeing double sides of something, like, a character can be...show more content... They can learn to get some confidence because confidence is really important in order to perform better. Being an overconfident person is also beneficial, as we won't get nervous easily and our performances will be better. This kind of person isn't scared to take some risks as they have trust and confidence in themselves. This kind of person has potential to be a really successful person in the future. I have a friend that is really confident that when he performed for a speech competition at school, he can speak fluently without any hesitation that made him the winner of the competition. We can learn a lot from this kind of person. I learn that correct proportion of something, even the thing we take as something bad, before, can turn into something good. We have to be able to measure how confident we can be while with friends and when the confidence is really needed. Being a competitive person can be advantageous, as this kind of person wants to be the best in everything. As they want to be the best in everything, they will work and study harder than any other people. They will try as hard as they can to be the best. As a result, they will get good marks on test or get an extremely good job in the future. It is beneficial for them. For Example: I know that being a competitive person can be advantageous as I have a friend that is competitive. She is so competitive that in every test, she will study as hard as she can. In every test, she managed to get the best scores Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Descriptive Essay About Friends Friendship is weird. You select random strangers that have similar personality traits as you and then give them affection and plan activities that involves the other person. But before you were friends you were strangers – if you were to never cross paths or judged them the wrong way right off the bat – where would you be. My life has been affected in a way I will never really know why or how but it all started with my next door neighbor. In fair Noblesville, Indiana is where we set our scene. Two hopeful parents who wish for their daughters of year 3 to be friends – okay enough of this, let's get to the story. New neighbors had just moved into a newly developed area 2 doors down from us. They had a little girl named Haley who was my age. My mom, having no friends in the area, had her mind set on making friends with that neighbor. She went over to the house and arranged a playdate with Haley for me. When we got there the parents took their adult sippy cups outside and left me alone with Haley. WIth her blue eyes and blonde hair she looked like Cinderella – I already knew I wasn't going to like this girl. I'll save you the rest of the details, but the playdate did not go well. .... The first day of Preschool came around and it just so happens that the Cinderbitch was in my class. Our moms – still fruitlessly attempting to get us to be friends – dropped us off and made us walk into preschool together. Then, to make matters worse, they made us take at least 1000 pictures Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Friendship As A Small Group Of Friends Friendship in Life Since I can remember I have always been a girl with a small group of friends. In my school years I would usually hang out with only 2–3 girls in my classroom, and it has always been that way ever since. I'm a very shy and quiet person; for that reason I've always preferred a small group of friends. Throughout the years, I've lost some friends on the way but I have also kept some good friends, and refer them more as best friends. Friendship has become a big part of my life, and it has taught me what friendship really is and who has been my real friends. Once I graduated from high school, I moved to Racine WI, to attend college and continue working as a waitress in a Mexican restaurant. Thanks to that job, I met a girl that till this day has been a great friend; I can honestly say she's like a sister to me. At first, we would just work together a couple times a week, but later on we began hanging out together outside of work. When that started, I just began to trust her more and learned a lot from her in how she is. Since I met her, she's the type of girl who can easily be talked to, she would get you comfortable talking to her and she would always make you laugh at the moment you meet her. She's very outgoing girls who even though we have been through a lot together we have managed to still continue being great friends. After knowing her for a couple years we became closer and closer, we have our differences, but we have learned a lot from each other. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Definition Essay On Close Friends Friends "People who only contact you when they need something from you are just acquaintances. Not friends". This is a quote by Rick Warren. "Each person has a core group of about 5 friends. This expands to a bigger circle of 15, then 50, and then 150." ("No New Friends").A person can only have a few close friends but at the same time we can have lots of acqaintances. "A close friend isn't necessarily a best friend, but he or she is someone you include in your inner circle." (What Makes Someone a Friend and a Close Friend").For example, Dunbar's theory states that the smaller the group of close friends is, the closer the friends are ("No New Friends"). Another example is that "The highest quality friendships are formed with the people we spend the most time with." ("No New Friends"). This shows that the smaller the friend group is, the more close friends you are. I feel that if you have a bigger friend group there is more of a chance that people will start to hide their feelings, not wanting to hurt anyone. With a smaller group of people you learn more...show more content... Another example is "Each person has a core group of around five friends. This expands to a bigger circle of 15, then 50 and then 150" ("No New Friends"). People have an average of 150 friends. Of those 150 friends, around five are close friends. Another twenty are probably the friends that you are somewhat close to, but not extremely close. The other 125 people are acquaintances. This is important because many people say that they have "A ton of friends", including me, but if you look at science it is almost impossible for the human brain to have over 150 friendly people. Most of those and more are acqaintances. Acqaintances are all around you. They are everyone you know and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Experience With My Friends Growing up I could identify my friends whom I found to be more sensitive, friendly and imaginative. These were the friends that I could turn to when I had a problem I needed to talk through or someone who was sincere and honest in their advice while being mindful of my feelings. I could also identify with these friends because I have always been one to make sure everyone else is taken care of before myself. These "blues" are the most genuine people I have met throughout life, but I have also found in my classroom. Just three days ago, one of my students answered a question that normally does not volunteer to participate. He answered correctly and his fellow peer whom he is not within the same social circle could not be more proud of him. She was astonished and proud of his answer and continued to whisper (loudly) across the room good job with her thumbs up until he realized her recognition and smiled back with a thank you. I was so proud to have this student in my classroom showing such compassion for another student. This generation is criticized for only thinking of themselves and although not untrue, it is moments like that, that remind me of how lucky I am to have blues in the classroom. As blues strengths including caring for others and sharing their emotions are compromised by them feeling hurt or treated unjustly, they take it personally. It's important to reassure and validate their feelings. Lastly are the students who carefully analyze my words, actions, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Descriptive Essay About Friendship Friendship is a bond between two or more people. I can choose who I desire to be friends with. However, some friends are brought by fate. Sherry and I, are like magnets. Our personality and social status is different. Yet down the road, we became really close friends. Sherry have a similar background as me. She can be careless but, sometimes she can be really sensitive. No matter in school or outside of school, I always spot her in a T–shirt with blue jeans and sneakers. We agreed we wouldn't become friends if we actually met in China. She is energetic and rebellious. While, I'm...show more content... I texted her, hoping everything is alright. " you saw it, I cut myself." she texted me back. I'm so confused. She was so cheerful in the morning and now she cut herself. I shut off the computer and send a video chat request, a few seconds later she picked up. "What's going on?" I asked with great concern. "I'm just tired, I tried that before. It doesn't hurt, don't worry." she answered giggling. "So you are doing it again? Why?" I asked trying to keep calm. "She hated me, want me to go die." She stated and waving her arm. She is starting to freak me out, it's the first time I have ever met a situation like this. We talked for hours and hours, she told me about her life, her parents, her siblings, and school. All of her problems, thoughts, and concerns. She is on the edge; she is so stressed out about everything. I tried the best to comfort her, discussing about her career, all the places we want to go together, talking about our favorite shows and getting celebrities' autograph. Then, around three o'clock in the morning she calmed down. We promised if anything significant happened in our lives, we will tell each other and not do dumb things. • 9. Relatives / Classification Essay Who are these people? "God gave us our relatives; thank God we can choose our friends" Ethel Watts Mumford Anyone who is lucky enough to be a part of a big family and is able to spend time with them should consider the individual personalities that collectively define their family's dynamics. Each member has different traits and experiences that make them who they are. Over the years I have attended countless family dinners and events and have taken note of a few extreme characteristics that set some of them apart. We all have similar interests, but the way people interact with each other (specifically at family gatherings), is indicative of their true natures. I have used my recollections of the behaviors I observed to...show more content... Whiners are easy to weed out because of their glum expressions and wads of used tissues in tow. Their sole purpose seems to be simply to drain the life out of everyone, all the time. Whiners are different from the bigheads in that they are always looking for help, yet they appear to share a similar weakness for being at the center of attention. Courtesy isn't typical of whiners; if they need to vent at two o'clock in the morning, they don't see a problem with picking up their phone and calling you, and if a whiner wants to have an hour long cry session on your couch, well, that's fine too. They speak with indigent inflections and beg advice from anyone nearby. Whiners operate with emotion comparable to that of the bighead but with a drab sense of passion and feeble undertones. Seemingly afraid to make any life decisions, they constantly seek family advice. They rarely act on any input given; their gain lies not in improving their situations but in the validation they feel from the encouragement and attention they receive in response to their tales of persecution and unexplained illnesses. Fortunately for the whiners, most families aren't complete without at least one member falling into the following group. Of an almost completely different breed are the levels. They are insightful and open–minded, generally honest and receptive. Levels have a tight grip on the way they should operate their own lives and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Descriptive Essay About My Best Friend About Me! By: Jonna S. My Best friend My best friend is amazing! Ever since the first day of school she's been there. Basically what happened was on the first day I was at silver hills and had no idea who anyone was so i just sat at a table and she was like, "Hi I'm Daphnie what's your name?," of course i said Jonna cause that's my name. Eventually we ran into each other at lunch so we sat down and talked for awhile to each other and then we walked to my next class and I was like wow you wanna be friends. She said of course cause i mean come on i'm amazing! Honestly we had a lot of good memories together from the 6th grade and i'm very excited to create brand new ones with her. She is amazing and I see perfection in her even though she disagrees i don't care she is perfect in my eyes and i will always be there for her I don't care what happens between us and i just wanna say thank you and i love you best friend! My Runaway! Hot air, windy breeze, beating sun, blooming season and a nice boring day! The exotic yellow bus speeding through the overpowering wind and it took a nice sharp stop. We got off the bus and that's when our adventurous day started. But really, what we thought was a fun day, others thought we were crazy and scared for us! For example, both of our entire households. This is how it all started. It was a very casual afternoon throughout school. Nothing different from any other day, until we got on the bus. Thirteen years of school prepare students for the next major steps of their lives. Every student faces many struggles and frustrations before graduation day arrives. One may be able to surmise a few details about a student before they put pencil to paper or even speak. One can also make assumptions about a student based on his or her seating position. Motivation, determination, and concentration will establish a student's amount of success. The three categories of high school students are underachievers, average students, and overachievers. The first category of students is the underachievers, or the back row. These students lack the...show more content... These students view extra credit opportunities as a waste of time. These mediocre scholars are also the ones who believe that Wikipedia is among the greatest inventions of all time, while turnitin.com is not. Students who contain these characteristics make up the most common category. The final group of students are the overachievers. They sit prim and proper in the front row raising their eager hands. These workaholics are the ones whom teachers adore and whom fellow students despise. They often exceed the expectations of any teachers. They constantly work hard and are active in class. They take notes verbatim of what the teacher says, excel in group discussions, and much to the demise of the other students, raise the academic bar to an unattainable level. Although they are not often the greatest athletes, or the best at communicating with the opposite gender, they separate themselves with their cerebral work ethic. These scholars find reading entertaining, and would much rather solve a Rubik's cube than run a mile. One of them will be inevitably become Valedictorian, and will give a speech at the podium come graduation day. When analyzing these students, one could be looking at future doctors, engineers, and various activists. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Classification and Division: Levels of Friendship A great sense of humor, adventurous, honest and great advice are all characteristics that come to mind when people think of the word "friend". Friends are an essential part of living. They help one another when life gets rough, and it is always a good feeling to have a friend with you. We always want to share our thoughts with someone who understands us, and who shares common interests. Since humans are social creatures, it is no wonder friends are such a big part of their lives. One person can't fulfill every friendship function, and that is why most people have multiple friends and each friend is different. Many people don't think about the health aspect of friends. Friends are very important because they help you emotionally, mentally and sometimes physically. "Real friends can be a source of self–esteem, affection, and good times. In times of despair, for example, true friends will offer hope." (Taylor) Similar to the three types of friends, there are also types of best friends. There are friends who have known each other for a long time, and possibly their whole lives, so they become best friends. Some people become best friends because they have the same trials and they help one another by offering each other advice, which allows them to grow closer. Some friends have multiple things in common, so they are involved in a lot of the same things, such as sports, clubs, activities; and over time they become best friends. Best friends are people who have been close to each other for a while, they are the friends who talk deeply, and have very similar interests. An easily definition of that would be a person you know, like and trust. In these tough times we count on friend to help us get through. I like to think of friendship as everlasting, but is friendship truly forever? Can miles drive you away from friends you made after graduating from places like high school or college? A friendship can be everlasting depending on the personalities in that relationship. Sometimes personalities can change for the good the bad in many friendships. You can never change a person through a friendship. Differences can set you apart. The definition of a friend has changed over the years therefore that could be a contributing factor to why we can count our friend on one hand. Think about it! When separating from friends for a while physically values and beliefs start to change. Many may argue that is not true, but I will say I have lost many friends do to personality changes and belief. Some reasons maybe be because everyone in college likes to smoke and drink. I am not a fan of either which I believe is gross so I drop many friends due to that reason. I have also lost a lot of friends due to the ways they act towards me or others when different people are around. In the urban world we call that being "fake." Fake is another way of saying you aren't what you claim to be. You don't stay true to yourself and totally honest. On the other side people can change for the good to help each other in a friendship. Friendships can gain trust through one another in due to the people you are around. In a relationship trust is being able tell a secret under confidence to other people hoping they wont tell. • 14. Three Types of Friends Essay examples Through my experiences I have come to realize that there are basically three types of friends a person can have. There are friends that I call "sometimes" friends, these people appear to be your friend but only when you are face to face with them, and when you are not around them they act more like a foe. They are often referred to as two faced or a back stabber. These types of friends are not very reliable nor should they be trusted. Another type of friend a person can have, and the best kind, is a "true" friend. A true friend is someone you know you can always trust and rely on no matter what. The last type of friend is the "acquaintance". These are the type of friends that you do not necessarily hate, but at the same time you do ...show more content... These people are not very reliable and should not be trusted with things of a personal matter or with things of great importance. You should confront this person and let them know how you are feeling about the way they are treating you. Let them know how things look from your point of view. If they are a true friend they will try to correct their ways and start acting like a real friend would act. If they do not change their ways and they continue to take advantage of you, it would probably be smart of you not to associate with them anymore. An "acquaintance" friend is someone who you will usually encounter every so often for business needs or for some other reason. You most likely are on good terms with these people, but they are not considered close friends whom you would talk to about personal problems. They could be someone at the grocery store where you shop at, the place where you work, the barber shop or salon where you get your hair cut, or maybe the convenience store where you get gas at. They usually seem as if they are good people and friendly. The acquaintance friend has the potential to become somewhat closer over time if there are enough meetings between the two of you. Most friends that people say are good friends were just an acquaintance at some point in time, but became closer as they got to know each other better. Last, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Compare And Contrast Friends And Family Essay Today in our lives, we are surrounded by many people. Some of these people we are surrounded by are either people we do not care for, or they are the people that we cannot spend enough time with. These people we enjoy the most of, are either our family or our closest friends. You may think that friends and family are just a like, but they do differ from each other, and without either of them our life would feel incomplete. The definition of friends is a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection. Friends are the people you trust outside of your family. These are the people that you surrounded yourself with by choice. The ones that you tell your deepest darkest secrets to. The ones that you go to school with or hang out with on the weekends. Your friends become so close to you they become your "family". For an example, my closest friend, Kaitlyn Arrington, are always getting asked if we are cousins or sisters. Kaitlyn and I do absolutely everything together. I share everything about my life with her, and she does the same to me. I could not imagine my life without her. Friends are the family you get to choose. On the other hand, you do not get to choose your family, you just have to deal with them. The true definition of a family is a group of people usually of the same blood, but do not always have to be. I have a large family. I have two sets of grandparents, two great–grandparents, two parents, two brothers, three uncles, one aunt, one Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Knowing that, it becomes all the more important to select the right people so that one might have the correct friends, but which types of friends are required? There are ten different types of friends that everybody should have, each fitting into one of three categories: the occasional friends, the benefactors and the greats. The first category, the occasional friends, encompasses three friend types. The first one is the grenade. They are the people who help you get through the school or work day that you never really see anywhere else. As the name suggests, occasional friends are not the type of people one would hang out with every day. There are only two types of friends in the benefactors. They are the giver and the loan friend. The hard to find giver is the type of friend who is always willing to pay the bill and brings presents just for the sake of bringing presents. They are indeed rarer and should not be taken for granted if found. The second kind, the loan friend, is that one friend who has everything that you would want to buy and is usually willing to lend you whatever you ask for. Benefactor friends are named for the direct benefits they provide over you. The final, and most important, group is the greats. They consist of the most essential of all friends imaginable. The best friend is first amongst this group. They know you inside and out and are the type of person you can easily spend the whole day with everyday. Secondly is man's best friend; the pet that will love you unconditionally in exchange for a little attention and a fresh water dish every now and then. Third is the significant other. The significant other is known by many names, most frequently called husband or wife. They are the ones you share your life with. The final type of friend in the greats is Alex Schnob. A Friend From a Different Culture The last thing you want to be described as is someone who's stuck in their own ways. If everyone had a friend from a different culture, the world would be a much better place. Being in a cross–cultural friendship allows you to explore customs, values, and traditions outside of your own culture. Sometimes you might even adopt new ways to do things. Be careful; don't befriend someone just because they're from a different culture. No one likes to be a token friend. Instead, keep your mind open, and if you come across someone you click with who just so happens to be from a different culture, make the effort to learn about their customs, values, and traditions while getting to know the person on a personal level. 6.
