Merit Pay Essay
Legal Status of Merit Pay
Inasmuch as implementing a merit pay system is not illegal, it can cause legal concerns. As stated by Pullin (2013), the legal concerns will arise due
to how a merit pay system has been established and the rubric to determine who is eligible for the reward. For example, if a teacher perceives a school
leader does not like them, the controversy will be the ratings are not accurate on their observation. If the ratings are not accurate, it will result in the
teacher not receiving their merit pay bonus. In my district, the teacher rating system is based on 80% teacher practice. As the school leader, I am
required to observe their delivery of instruction, data analysis, differentiation, curriculum alignment, classroom climate, and professional
responsibilities. According to the observation tool, one or two words will make the difference if the rating is Proficient 1, 2, or 3....show more content...
However, each school district can work with the teacher's union to establish the governing standards of the merit pay system. Smith stated in the
article that schools must implement what is has established as the measurable standards (2011). In my district, the teacher observation tool is what the
school leaders are mandated to use in observing the teacher. It is important to give specific feedback to the teachers in the praise and polish of each
standard. The feedback should speak to what areas you notice quality instructional practices and what areas are in need of improvement. I use the actual
terminology of the rubric when giving feedback to ensure I am observing the specific instructional

Equal Women, Equal Pay Essays
As long as an American woman is putting in the same amount of hours with the same qualifications and experience in the same occupation as an
American male, and yet taking home a wage that is any lower, she is not being treated fairly as an equal. Contrary to many arguments, it's undeniable
that a wage gap exists, and while there are various ideas as to the most probable cause, there is no reason why this gap should continue to go
uncorrected or unchanged. Our government should take concrete steps to close the gender wage gap because it violates women's rights and equality.
A woman's right to equality should guarantee her that she will be treated fairly in the workplace and that she is respected as having equal value and
worth as her...show more content...
Even our president was corrected for a slight mistake during his remarks on equal pay for equal work stating that the women only made 70 cents for
every dollar a man earns, which the White House later corrected as 77 cents (Remarks on Equal Pay for Equal Work). "Women earn only 77 cents for
every dollar men earn, with women of color at an even greater disadvantage with 64 cents on the dollar for African American women and 56 cents for
Hispanic women." – White House Statement of Administration Policy on Paycheck Fairness Act, June 4. [2]
According to the US Census Bureau, in 2010 the median earnings for women were $36,931 compared to $47,715 for men. [3] The majority of
college degrees earned in the US are by women, and yet a study according to the American Association of University Women found that these educated
graduated women are starting out with earning 5 percent less than their male peers. This was after several factors were taken into account, such as
experience, training, and what school women earned their degrees from. Their study summarizes that, "In this analysis the portion of the pay gap that
remains unexplained after all other factors are taken into account is 5 percent one year after graduation and 12 percent ten years after graduation." –

Pay Inequality Research Paper

Salary Inequality If the United States is an equal country, then why are men and women still paid different salaries? The U.S. is said to be a country
of freedom and equality, but the crucial part of every individual's life, getting a job and working, is not equal. Men and women in America are
separated by a long–existing wage gap. Though the gap may only be a few cents difference, over time, it adds up to a large amount of money.
Education seems like a solution to the problem, but it does not help. Also, the gap can hurt young girl's self–esteem as well as making it harder for
single mothers to care for themselves and their children. To achieve a truly equal country, the pay gap...show more content...
With simple solutions like negotiation skills and laws, the problem can begin to be solved. As a result, men and women can work in the career they
want and not worry about being discriminated against due to their gender. Gender should never be the deciding factor of what an individual earns, it
should be based on their skills and how well they perform in the field they chose. It can also certainly be said that a single mother could possibly get
enough money through child support and her own job, but that might not always be the case. Maybe the individual paying child support does not
make much money in their job, then in turn cannot pay the single mother much money. In this situation, the extra money that a woman would lose
over the course of her career would be tremendously helpful. Therefore, by having equal salaries, it would be easier for single mothers to care for
their children. If the wage gap is eliminated, then salaries would not be based on gender and single mothers would be better off. This would then again
point the United States in the direction of

Social Interaction Of Interest
Throughout the 20th century, there has been a definite difference between men and women and their median income. Studies show that women's
median earnings are substantially less than men's earnings. However, this "earnings gap" has started to close recently, bringing the percentage of
women's earnings closer to that of the median earnings of men. According to the Census Bureau, the gap stayed relatively constant from 1960 to 1980.
From 1980 to 2000 the median of women's earnings as a percentage of the median of men's earnings increased by nearly fourteen percent. This report
will be investigating what exactly caused the earnings gap to narrow after twenty plus years of stagnation by examining certain factors...show more

During the next 2 decades, there was relatively drastic change in the statistics. From 1980 to 2000, women's earning compared to men's rose from 60
percent to 73 percent in 2000 with women earning $27,355 and men earning $37,339. Compared to the previous 2 decades this was a very dramatic
increase in women's earnings.
If the momentum of the gap narrowing continues as it has the past twenty years, women's role in society and the family could change. The old
stereotype that women are the stay–at–home moms and men are the breadwinners would become obsolete. Pay equity would allow the mothers to
support the family financially while fathers could stay at home or work the part–time job while raising the children. Pay equity would also make raising
children as a single mother more manageable, providing more comfortable living for the single parent family.
Literature Review
Scientists argue over many reasons or factors for the narrowing of the earning gap starting in 1980. The most common being: level of education, job
choice, overcrowding in a few select occupations, and sexual discrimination. The level of education of the women has increased in the last twenty
years. In the decades of the 60's and 70's, many of the women being compared did not hold the same caliber of job as their male counterparts did, due
to advanced education of men. Since 1975, the enrollment of women into four–year

Performance Based Pay Essay
Performance Management and Performance Based Pay Compensation and Benefits MGT 548 Cardinal Stritch University Group MSM 3–356
Instructor: Rafael Viscasillas 7/25/05 Table of Contents Performance based pay is an effective way to adequately distinguish between the best and
worse performers within the company structure. Commonly referred to as merit pay or skill based pay, performance based pay is a compensation
system designed to reward employees for attaining additional skills or for completion of specific goals. "The concept is attractive to many employees

ELCABOP is judged based on how these employees handle their job when working with the Lutheran ministers and lay employees. Because of this it
is important to record and measure the performance of the employees to make sure customer satisfaction is achieved. Until recently, this was difficult
to do because the ELCABOP did not have a formal evaluation policy in place. In the past, the ELCABOP conducted performance appraisals annually
at the end of their fiscal year. Managers would meet with their employees on an individual basis, write up a summary of the employee's performance
for the previous year, and submitted it to the Human Resource Department to keep in the employee's file. Employees did not have specific standards to
meet and had no real sense of their own accomplishments or shortcomings. Without an understanding of how individual performance influences the
organization's contribution to the company's mission, employees have no feeling of connection to the organization. This lack of connection decreased
both employee loyalty to the organization and employee morale. "Department goals, which support the corporate goals, are set by managers and their
teams. Individual goals, which support company and department goals, are set by each employee together with their manager. All goals must be
achievable, measurable and aligned with the corporate strategy." (Wells, HR Magazine, 2005, p. 79–80)

Equal Pay Essay
1.Explain the differences among the concepts of equal pay for equal work, pay equity, and employment equity.
Equal pay for equal work as well also known as pay equity in British Columbia, it is illegal to pay women and men at the same rate if they are
performing substantially the same kind of work. The BC Human Rights reads: " An employer must not discriminate between employees by
employing an employee of one sex for work at a rate that is less than the rate of pay at which an employee of the other sex is employed by that
employer for similar or substantially similar work". Pay equity "goal is to stop discrimination related to the under–valuation of work traditionally
performed by women" ("Introduction", 2016). Pay equity allows businesses...show more content...

Pay To Play Case Study
Hey Group,
I really enjoyed the presentation and you all did a great job showing the pros for Pay–to–Play and using good resources. The ways of funding sports
programs in schools by having participation fees for young athletics, which will eliminate the need of eliminating programs because of budgets, is a
good way of keeping young athletes involved in extracurricular activities. I like how you all stated how the competitive atmosphere gives athletes a
competitive edge in the real world because it shows how being involved in sports will have benefits even if they don't have a professional career in a
sport. After viewing the presentation, I have a few questions I would like to ask.

Military Pay Essay
From the Halls of Montezuma to the mountains of Afghanistan, the men and women of our nation's armed forces have been literally putting their lives
on the line in defense of our nation for over 225 years. In recognition of their brave and patriotic service to the nation, enlisted service members should
be better compensated for their courage to serve.Good thesis
According to the fiscal year 2002 military pay scale the average enlisted service member with two years of service in the military is paid $1,385.40
per month (www.DFAS.mil). Broken down this figure is equal to roughly $8.65 per hour. With the rate of taxes being higher on single personnel and
the fact that some service members have families, $8.65 is far below the priceless...show more content...
Also included is a sink for washing and sanitation purposes and a refrigerator. This does not include personal items that each individual owns.
Many people would likely disagree that service members should be better compensated. Some have voiced the concern because it is a volunteer
military that the benefits of free medical and dental benefits, tuition assistance programs, free travel and free meals and housing for service members
is all the benefit necessary for serving. Military medical personnel are among the best in their fields. With ever major medical specialty available
military service members have access to some of the most comparable health care facilities in the country including the Naval Medical Center in
Bethesda, MD and the much–acclaimed Walter Reed Army Medical Centerlocated in Silver Spring, MD. Service members have the opportunity to
travel for free to places many people dream of ever being able to see. The GI Bill provides a financial support for service members to achieve the
post secondary educations and while serving on active duty personnel can take college courses at little or no cost to them. In short many of today's
private–sector companies can hardly compare what the offer the employees what the government offers those serving.

Low Salary For A Teacher
Low Pay in Teaching In San Francisco, the average salary for a teacher is approximately $59,000 which would equal to earning about $220,000 a
year. The average home in San Francisco is approximately $485,000 (Elsen). This shows that the pay for teachers is so low teachers cannot afford
to live in the city of San Francisco. Teachers worldwide have been working harder and longer hours, yet they are still struggling with their pay. Even
if the teacher's job is to teach the current generations that will later on take on the important responsibilities that come along with adulthood, their job
is being taking for granted and they are being paid as if their job could be done by anyone with no educational background. Teaching seems like it
could be done by anyone, but in reality it does take some skill or at least some effort to be a good teacher. Since teachers are surrounded by students at
all times, they need to know the easiest ways for their students to learn the material with the least amount of problems. The last thing they want is to
have their students struggle with the class, and not understand what the lesson is about. Also, not only are they teaching multiple students at once, but
multiple students who learn in different ways. There are students who learn verbally and others who prefer to see it (visually). Not to mention they are
students who learn by doing hands–on projects. The teacher must find a balance in between all the teaching styles in order to please or help

Teacher's Salaries Essay
Lurking over our great country is a troubling issue that is plaguing the professional educational workforce. When compared worldwide, American
teachers work the most hours, yet are paid in the lowest brackets when related to the top 32 nations (Teachers Pay). In addition, when you compare a
teacher's salary to other four year degree salaries, teachers are among the 5 lowest paid degrees (O'Shaughnessy). Not only are the salaries among
the lowest in the American workforce, a typical teachers at home workload exceeds all other professional jobs by 20% (Current). Furthermore,
teachers were only given a 2.3% salary raise in 2009. Yet the rate of inflation rose to 3.1% causing a loss in purchasing power and creating a hardship

According to an hourly wage, that would place a teacher's salary above accountants, computer programmers, and mechanical engineers at the entry
level. In addition to the hourly rate, teachers often are given economic incentives that aren't available to other jobs (Teachers). These same researchers
also claim that the benefits given to teachers far outweigh those of rival professions. Therefore, stating that based off limited research, teachers are paid
an adamant amount of money, and need not complain (Anderson).
In contrast there are many reasons why teachers truly are underpaid. First, what these researchers fail to make public, is the fact that the hourly wage
that they base a teachers pay is centered only on the hours that a teacher is present at school. They do not take into consideration the hours that
teachers put in at home. On average a teacher will work 20% more Sundays than any other profession, these hours will not be paid or documented into
a teachers pay schedule. The reasoning behind the large at home workload comes from the excessive amount of homework and assignments that they
must grade or create for previous and following work days. Secondly, they are often forced to work at multiple locations, with early starting hours
ranging from 6 to 7 am. Furthermore, some of these locations can be extremely far, costing the teacher an

How To Get Paid In Full Essay
When writing about fake friends, I feel most self–help sites and advice is written from an angry and bitter mindset. I feel that's counter–productive
when you are trying to help someone better his or her life. After watching "Paid in Full" for the 10th time on Netflix, it got me to thinking. In the
film, Rico kills his friend Mitch over hate and jealousy. Even though Mitch was shocked that Rico pulled a gun out on him, their friend Ace already
saw Rico's true character. He just became oblivious to it. Often times we are just that in life, oblivious. So in this post, I'm going to touch on spotting a

Don't get a friendship confused with an opportunity. On the other hand, a wolf always reveals who they really are. They eventually get hungry, and
decide its time to eat. In the film, Rico cared more about getting back into the drug game than Ace; so he recklessly killed the man who shot him. This
could in return have linked Ace to the murder. Rico craved attention, so much, he wanted people to know about the women he had and how much
money he made. Biblically, Matthew 7:16 states that "you will recognize them by their fruits....". In a nutshell, you will know a person by the things
they produce and do in their life. If they are constantly producing negativity and cultivating drama then they aren't good for you. If all they show you
about them are tangible things, reconsider. If they are more about helping self than helping others, reconsider. If their life is more focused of on what
others think, reconsider again. Be careful because all fruits people broadcast aren't good fruits. Lastly, I'm sure a sheep knows the wolf smells
different. The sheep see's the wolf walking different. The wolf doesn't look the same. The sheep senses something different but continues to travel with
the wolf because it see's the wolf walking in harmony

Merit Pay Essay

  • 1. Merit Pay Essay Legal Status of Merit Pay Inasmuch as implementing a merit pay system is not illegal, it can cause legal concerns. As stated by Pullin (2013), the legal concerns will arise due to how a merit pay system has been established and the rubric to determine who is eligible for the reward. For example, if a teacher perceives a school leader does not like them, the controversy will be the ratings are not accurate on their observation. If the ratings are not accurate, it will result in the teacher not receiving their merit pay bonus. In my district, the teacher rating system is based on 80% teacher practice. As the school leader, I am required to observe their delivery of instruction, data analysis, differentiation, curriculum alignment, classroom climate, and professional responsibilities. According to the observation tool, one or two words will make the difference if the rating is Proficient 1, 2, or 3....show more content... However, each school district can work with the teacher's union to establish the governing standards of the merit pay system. Smith stated in the article that schools must implement what is has established as the measurable standards (2011). In my district, the teacher observation tool is what the school leaders are mandated to use in observing the teacher. It is important to give specific feedback to the teachers in the praise and polish of each standard. The feedback should speak to what areas you notice quality instructional practices and what areas are in need of improvement. I use the actual terminology of the rubric when giving feedback to ensure I am observing the specific instructional Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Equal Women, Equal Pay Essays As long as an American woman is putting in the same amount of hours with the same qualifications and experience in the same occupation as an American male, and yet taking home a wage that is any lower, she is not being treated fairly as an equal. Contrary to many arguments, it's undeniable that a wage gap exists, and while there are various ideas as to the most probable cause, there is no reason why this gap should continue to go uncorrected or unchanged. Our government should take concrete steps to close the gender wage gap because it violates women's rights and equality. A woman's right to equality should guarantee her that she will be treated fairly in the workplace and that she is respected as having equal value and worth as her...show more content... Even our president was corrected for a slight mistake during his remarks on equal pay for equal work stating that the women only made 70 cents for every dollar a man earns, which the White House later corrected as 77 cents (Remarks on Equal Pay for Equal Work). "Women earn only 77 cents for every dollar men earn, with women of color at an even greater disadvantage with 64 cents on the dollar for African American women and 56 cents for Hispanic women." – White House Statement of Administration Policy on Paycheck Fairness Act, June 4. [2] According to the US Census Bureau, in 2010 the median earnings for women were $36,931 compared to $47,715 for men. [3] The majority of college degrees earned in the US are by women, and yet a study according to the American Association of University Women found that these educated graduated women are starting out with earning 5 percent less than their male peers. This was after several factors were taken into account, such as experience, training, and what school women earned their degrees from. Their study summarizes that, "In this analysis the portion of the pay gap that remains unexplained after all other factors are taken into account is 5 percent one year after graduation and 12 percent ten years after graduation." – Behind the Pay Gap, American Association of University Women, Dey, Judy Goldberg Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Pay Inequality Research Paper Shelby Stream Mrs. Stuckey Composition I 21 December 2016 Salary Inequality If the United States is an equal country, then why are men and women still paid different salaries? The U.S. is said to be a country of freedom and equality, but the crucial part of every individual's life, getting a job and working, is not equal. Men and women in America are separated by a long–existing wage gap. Though the gap may only be a few cents difference, over time, it adds up to a large amount of money. Education seems like a solution to the problem, but it does not help. Also, the gap can hurt young girl's self–esteem as well as making it harder for single mothers to care for themselves and their children. To achieve a truly equal country, the pay gap...show more content... With simple solutions like negotiation skills and laws, the problem can begin to be solved. As a result, men and women can work in the career they want and not worry about being discriminated against due to their gender. Gender should never be the deciding factor of what an individual earns, it should be based on their skills and how well they perform in the field they chose. It can also certainly be said that a single mother could possibly get enough money through child support and her own job, but that might not always be the case. Maybe the individual paying child support does not make much money in their job, then in turn cannot pay the single mother much money. In this situation, the extra money that a woman would lose over the course of her career would be tremendously helpful. Therefore, by having equal salaries, it would be easier for single mothers to care for their children. If the wage gap is eliminated, then salaries would not be based on gender and single mothers would be better off. This would then again point the United States in the direction of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. gender gap in pay Essays Social Interaction Of Interest Throughout the 20th century, there has been a definite difference between men and women and their median income. Studies show that women's median earnings are substantially less than men's earnings. However, this "earnings gap" has started to close recently, bringing the percentage of women's earnings closer to that of the median earnings of men. According to the Census Bureau, the gap stayed relatively constant from 1960 to 1980. From 1980 to 2000 the median of women's earnings as a percentage of the median of men's earnings increased by nearly fourteen percent. This report will be investigating what exactly caused the earnings gap to narrow after twenty plus years of stagnation by examining certain factors...show more content... During the next 2 decades, there was relatively drastic change in the statistics. From 1980 to 2000, women's earning compared to men's rose from 60 percent to 73 percent in 2000 with women earning $27,355 and men earning $37,339. Compared to the previous 2 decades this was a very dramatic increase in women's earnings. If the momentum of the gap narrowing continues as it has the past twenty years, women's role in society and the family could change. The old stereotype that women are the stay–at–home moms and men are the breadwinners would become obsolete. Pay equity would allow the mothers to support the family financially while fathers could stay at home or work the part–time job while raising the children. Pay equity would also make raising children as a single mother more manageable, providing more comfortable living for the single parent family. Literature Review Scientists argue over many reasons or factors for the narrowing of the earning gap starting in 1980. The most common being: level of education, job choice, overcrowding in a few select occupations, and sexual discrimination. The level of education of the women has increased in the last twenty years. In the decades of the 60's and 70's, many of the women being compared did not hold the same caliber of job as their male counterparts did, due to advanced education of men. Since 1975, the enrollment of women into four–year Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Performance Based Pay Essay Performance Management and Performance Based Pay Compensation and Benefits MGT 548 Cardinal Stritch University Group MSM 3–356 Instructor: Rafael Viscasillas 7/25/05 Table of Contents Performance based pay is an effective way to adequately distinguish between the best and worse performers within the company structure. Commonly referred to as merit pay or skill based pay, performance based pay is a compensation system designed to reward employees for attaining additional skills or for completion of specific goals. ELCABOP is judged based on how these employees handle their job when working with the Lutheran ministers and lay employees. Because of this it is important to record and measure the performance of the employees to make sure customer satisfaction is achieved. Until recently, this was difficult to do because the ELCABOP did not have a formal evaluation policy in place. In the past, the ELCABOP conducted performance appraisals annually at the end of their fiscal year. Managers would meet with their employees on an individual basis, write up a summary of the employee's performance for the previous year, and submitted it to the Human Resource Department to keep in the employee's file. Employees did not have specific standards to meet and had no real sense of their own accomplishments or shortcomings. Without an understanding of how individual performance influences the organization's contribution to the company's mission, employees have no feeling of connection to the organization. This lack of connection decreased both employee loyalty to the organization and employee morale. "Department goals, which support the corporate goals, are set by managers and their teams. Individual goals, which support company and department goals, are set by each employee together with their manager. All goals must be achievable, measurable and aligned with the corporate strategy." The ways of funding sports programs in schools by having participation fees for young athletics, which will eliminate the need of eliminating programs because of budgets, is a good way of keeping young athletes involved in extracurricular activities. I like how you all stated how the competitive atmosphere gives athletes a competitive edge in the real world because it shows how being involved in sports will have benefits even if they don't have a professional career in a sport. After viewing the presentation, I have a few questions I would like to ask. 1.There are many cities that are losing the population Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Military Pay Essay From the Halls of Montezuma to the mountains of Afghanistan, the men and women of our nation's armed forces have been literally putting their lives on the line in defense of our nation for over 225 years. In recognition of their brave and patriotic service to the nation, enlisted service members should be better compensated for their courage to serve.Good thesis According to the fiscal year 2002 military pay scale the average enlisted service member with two years of service in the military is paid $1,385.40 per month (www.DFAS.mil). Military medical personnel are among the best in their fields. With ever major medical specialty available military service members have access to some of the most comparable health care facilities in the country including the Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD and the much–acclaimed Walter Reed Army Medical Centerlocated in Silver Spring, MD. Service members have the opportunity to travel for free to places many people dream of ever being able to see. The GI Bill provides a financial support for service members to achieve the post secondary educations and while serving on active duty personnel can take college courses at little or no cost to them. • 9. Low Salary For A Teacher Low Pay in Teaching In San Francisco, the average salary for a teacher is approximately $59,000 which would equal to earning about $220,000 a year. The average home in San Francisco is approximately $485,000 (Elsen). This shows that the pay for teachers is so low teachers cannot afford to live in the city of San Francisco. Teachers worldwide have been working harder and longer hours, yet they are still struggling with their pay. Even if the teacher's job is to teach the current generations that will later on take on the important responsibilities that come along with adulthood, their job is being taking for granted and they are being paid as if their job could be done by anyone with no educational background. Teaching seems like it could be done by anyone, but in reality it does take some skill or at least some effort to be a good teacher. Since teachers are surrounded by students at all times, they need to know the easiest ways for their students to learn the material with the least amount of problems. The last thing they want is to have their students struggle with the class, and not understand what the lesson is about. Also, not only are they teaching multiple students at once, but multiple students who learn in different ways. There are students who learn verbally and others who prefer to see it (visually). Not to mention they are students who learn by doing hands–on projects. The teacher must find a balance in between all the teaching styles in order to please or help Get more content on HelpWriting.net

When compared worldwide, American teachers work the most hours, yet are paid in the lowest brackets when related to the top 32 nations (Teachers Pay). In addition, when you compare a teacher's salary to other four year degree salaries, teachers are among the 5 lowest paid degrees (O'Shaughnessy). Not only are the salaries among the lowest in the American workforce, a typical teachers at home workload exceeds all other professional jobs by 20% (Current). According to an hourly wage, that would place a teacher's salary above accountants, computer programmers, and mechanical engineers at the entry level. In addition to the hourly rate, teachers often are given economic incentives that aren't available to other jobs (Teachers). These same researchers also claim that the benefits given to teachers far outweigh those of rival professions. Therefore, stating that based off limited research, teachers are paid an adamant amount of money, and need not complain (Anderson). In contrast there are many reasons why teachers truly are underpaid. First, what these researchers fail to make public, is the fact that the hourly wage that they base a teachers pay is centered only on the hours that a teacher is present at school. They do not take into consideration the hours that teachers put in at home. On average a teacher will work 20% more Sundays than any other profession, these hours will not be paid or documented into a teachers pay schedule. The reasoning behind the large at home workload comes from the excessive amount of homework and assignments that they must grade or create for previous and following work days. Secondly, they are often forced to work at multiple locations, with early starting hours ranging from 6 to 7 am. Furthermore, some of these locations can be extremely far, costing the teacher an Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. How To Get Paid In Full Essay When writing about fake friends, I feel most self–help sites and advice is written from an angry and bitter mindset. I feel that's counter–productive when you are trying to help someone better his or her life. After watching "Paid in Full" for the 10th time on Netflix, it got me to thinking. In the film, Rico kills his friend Mitch over hate and jealousy. Even though Mitch was shocked that Rico pulled a gun out on him, their friend Ace already saw Rico's true character. He just became oblivious to it. Often times we are just that in life, oblivious. So in this post, I'm going to touch on spotting a "wolf in sheep clothing." Wolves aren't interested in following the Sheppard to refuge, they want to eat his sheep. Sheep are naГЇve and wolves...show more content... Don't get a friendship confused with an opportunity. On the other hand, a wolf always reveals who they really are. They eventually get hungry, and decide its time to eat. In the film, Rico cared more about getting back into the drug game than Ace; so he recklessly killed the man who shot him. This could in return have linked Ace to the murder. Rico craved attention, so much, he wanted people to know about the women he had and how much money he made. Biblically, Matthew 7:16 states that "you will recognize them by their fruits....". In a nutshell, you will know a person by the things they produce and do in their life. If they are constantly producing negativity and cultivating drama then they aren't good for you. If all they show you about them are tangible things, reconsider. If they are more about helping self than helping others, reconsider. If their life is more focused of on what others think, reconsider again. Be careful because all fruits people broadcast aren't good fruits. Lastly, I'm sure a sheep knows the wolf smells different. The sheep see's the wolf walking different. The wolf doesn't look the same. The sheep senses something different but continues to travel with the wolf because it see's the wolf walking in harmony Get more content on HelpWriting.net
