PDHPE (Personal Development, Health and Physical Education) is important because it teaches children healthy lifestyle habits to carry into adulthood. According to statistics, 20-25% of Australian children are overweight or obese, 50% of whom will remain obese as adults. Additionally, up to 30% of children have low fitness levels and 60% have poor motor skills. PDHPE promotes exercise, nutrition education, and awareness of safety issues. It aims to improve children's health, development, and social skills through fun physical activities and life lessons.
