2. • It is the largest commercial enterprise in the country, with a net profit of INR
19,106 crore (USD 2,848 million) for the financial year 2016–17

transportation of crude oil to refineries and finished products
4. • The word "tank" originally meant "artificial lake"
• Every tank have its own capacity of storage
• Every tank are designee according to need of product
5.
6. • Storage tank shell thickness formula:
Thickness, t = (P x Di )/(2σE -0.2P)
Where,
P = design pressure
Di = inside diameter
σ = allowable design stress, for stainless steel=1675 kg/cm²
E = weld joint factor = 0.85
Total thickness, t= Thickness + Corrosion allowance
The outside diameter, D0 = Di + Total thickness
7. • Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
• Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
• Tungsten inert gas (TIG)
* Different electrode use to weld different thickness of plats
9. • Industrial safety play a vital role in any industry for safety of people work in
that environment
• Proper safety gears are provide to workers and staff
• Fire extinguisher with proper instruction
• avoid cell phone inside premises
