Not all sentences have an auxiliary.

Am, is,are (S. Present)
Was, were (S. Past)
They are followed by the present or past participle in the sentence
You are going to the gym today with your friends. (going = present)
Mary is playing soccer at National stadium.
Fried chicken is usually eaten for dinner. (eaten = past participle)
She was fallen in love of his best friend.
They were happy when my mother visited us yesterday.
He was in Brazil the last year.
We are the champions of the car race.

Had (S. Past)
These are followed by the past participle of the next verb.
You have played chess for two hours.
She has finished her homework.
We had studied all chapter two for our English test.

Do/ does ( S. Present)
Did ( S. Past)
These are followed by the base form of a verb
I do finish my test.
Emma does run every day at 5 pm.
