Essay Informative Speech About Tattoos
It seems like everyone has one these days. What used to be the property of sailors, outlaws, and biker gangs is now a popular body decoration for
many people. And it's not just anchors, skulls, and battleships anymore, from school emblems to Celtic designs to personalized symbols; people have
found many ways to express themselves with them. Maybe you've thought about getting one. Well before you head down to the nearesttattoo shop and
roll up your sleeve, there are a few things you need to know.
So You Ask, What Exactly is a Tattoo? A tattoo is a puncture wound, made deep in your skin, that's filled with ink. The tattoo is made by penetrating
your skin with a needle and injecting ink into the area creating some sort of design of...show more content...
Although it looks a lot cooler than a big scab, a new tattoo is also a wound and like any other scrape, puncture, cut or penetration to your skin, a
tattoo is at risk for infections and disease. You need to make sure you are up to date with your immunizations (especially hepatitis and tetanus
shots) and plan where you will get medical care if your new tattoo does become infected. Signs of infection include excessive redness or tenderness,
prolonged bleeding, pus, or changes in your skin color around the tattoo. If you have a medical problem such as heart disease, allergies, diabetes,
skin disorders or any condition that affects your immune system or are prone to infections, you should ask your doctor before deciding to get a tattoo.
Also, if you are prone to getting keloids (an overgrowth of scar tissue in the area of the wound), it's probably best to avoid getting a tattoo altogether.
Avoiding Infection It's very important to make sure the tattoo studio is clean and safe, and that all equipment is disposable (needles, gloves, masks,
etc.) and that everything is sterilized. You can call your state, county, or local health department to ask for recommendations on licensed tattoo shops,
or to ask about any complaints about a particular studio.
Professional studios take pride in their cleanliness; here are a few things to check for:
Make sure the studio has an autoclave which is a device that

Informative Speech On Anxiety
Anxiety is one of the most common illnesses in America. Your palms can get sweaty, you get nervous and your blood pressure can increase. Some
students can go through anxiety every day just by having to go to school or present in class like I am now. I am presenting a speech in front of a
decent size class some of who I am familiar with and some of you who I barely know so that can be a bit scary and nerve racking.
I will discuss what Anxiety is, how to diagnose it, and also how to treat it. It is very common and I'm pretty sure most of you know basically what it is.
But just in case I will go over the main important things to know about Anxiety. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, anxiety disorders
involve more than temporary worry or fear. For a person with an anxiety disorder, the anxiety does not go away and can get worse over time. The
feelings can interfere with daily activities such as job performance, school work, and relationships. There are several different types of anxiety
disorders. Examples include generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and social anxiety disorder. According to the American psychological
association, Anxiety is an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts, and invisible changes like increased blood pressure. You
can have OCD, phobias, panic attacks, and PTSD. OCD is basically anxiety that takes the form of obsessions and compulsions. I know many of you

mass media, which we must understand as a responsible person of a society.
b. New and influential media–distribution channels have appeared in the 21st century. Delivered via the World Wide Web across the Internet, we are
influenced daily by blogs, wikis, social networks, virtual worlds and myriad forms of content sharing.
c. Radio and then television were very influential. As the 20th century closed, TV exposed us to untold numbers of images of advertising and

Informative Speech On Child Development
For my informative speech, I wanted to pick a topic that I was familiar with but also wanted to know more about. I came to the conclusion to do my
speech over child development. I thought it would be interesting because I am taking a class over child development and my future career is going to
be early childhood education and elementary education. (Q.1.) The specific purpose of my speech was to teach my audience what child development is
and the three components of child development. I think I did well teaching my audience child development because I clearly stated the three
components, I established credibility, and made it relatable to my audience. Everyone has been through child development, if you have not been then
you would still be an infant. (Q.2.) In comparison to my demonstration speech, I believe the introduction to my informative speech was much
stronger, because I told a story instead of asking a question. My story allowed for my audience to have a mental picture of what I was talking about.
How I related child development to my audience was much more effective in my informative speech than my demonstration speech. In my
demonstration speech, not everyone raised their hand when I asked my question. In my informative speech, I related it to my audience by saying
everyone has went through child development. I felt more confident in my informative speech because I practiced many times in front of my family
and friends. I got marked points off for being too read–y in my demonstration speech, so for my informative speech I worked on not memorizing the
whole thing. By not memorizing my informative speech I felt more confident while presenting. (Q.3.) My oral citations helped my credibility of my
informative speech. My oral citations supported my facts so my audience knew I was telling the truth. All of my citations were used to define child
development and the three components. I wanted my audience to know all the proper definitions because they are not familiar with the topic of child
development. I used four oral citations in my informative speech. Two were authors and the other two were websites. These oral citations provided my
audience with all the correct information about

Informative Essay: The Second Amendment
In my opinion, the second amendment should stay the same and not be changed. People should have the right to have guns. What was the point of
making that an amendment if we are just going to change that? For instance, if someone were to be out in the middle of nowhere I believe they should
be able to have a gun on them because there are strange people in the world and you never know what could happen. Even if we were to try to get
rid of all of the guns people would probably hide some and the people without them would then be in danger. I think that guns are used because they
also help people not only protect people from others, but also from the wild or just to go out and hunt some animals for some food.
People without guns daily either become

Informative Speech: Bullying In School
Good Evening, It was brought to my recent attention that there was some tormenting happening around this school. We all know that the world
isn't a perfect world, but quite evil sometimes. However, we can work together and create a safe environment in this school. I have a question for
you: what is the cruelest thing in this world? Do you think about war, death, rape or robbery? These answers are all correct, I won't disagree, yet in
my opinion, I will say bullying is on top of the list. Bullying makes teenagers feel inferior, depressed, worthless, and fearless. Can you imagine going
to school every day fearing what might happen? Can you imagine having to drop out because you can't take it anymore, or taking the worst case out;
suicide?...show more content...
This situation won't stop unless we put a stop towards it. Let's be the school where it doesn't matter how we look, how we dress, or what we like. I
want our school to be unique. Where we value differences. I need you all to be honest. Why bring someone down? Does it help your self–esteem if
you call them stupid, ugly, a loser or a loner? Some might say words are just words. Yet, for some people, words mean a thousand things, and it
will take them a lifetime to get over it. Have you ever thought that you aren't the only one with feelings or frights in this world? When I was
younger I was a chubby girl, with big black glasses and acne all around my face. It became even worse when I had to use an orthodontic headgear. I
recall going to school, and just wanting the ground to swallow me up. Wherever I went people followed me with their stares. Walking in the
hallways I could see people pointing at me, and laughing with their friends. You know what I felt? Like I didn't belong. Sickness was my way out.
Fake stomachaches, headaches, and coughs were my way to skip school. Never did I have a friend who would tell me I was beautiful just the way I
am. That it doesn't matter how I look from the outside, but from the inside. That I had a pure heart and that's what

Essay Growing Up
When I Grow Up..
"Being 'grown up' isn't as fun as the idea of growing up."
–AmberGrace Seguin
Remember when we were young and all we could think of was growing up and getting to do 'grownup' things? We spent our whole childhood
thinking of what we would do when we finally 'grew up', and here we are, almost completely grown up and we still haven't made up our mind of what it
is we will do when we grow up. We've painted this pretty little picture in our head of what it'll be like when we eventually do grow up, and when it
finally comes for the picture to be taken off the wall and put into action, it's not nearly as fun as creating the painting.

"The day the child realizes that all adults are imperfect, he becomes an adolescent; the day he forgives them, he becomes an adult; the day he forgives
himself, he becomes wise." –Alden Nowlan As we continue to grow up, we learn that being grown up is not as we imagined it. We once convinced
ourselves that growing up was the goal to achieve, and life would be much better once we were in fact grown up. When we in fact do grow up, we
think back at our youth and laugh because we thought growing up was the most wondrous thing to accomplish, but now, more than ever, we crave
for our youth; for the days we would sit in the grass and daydream of what we are to become when we grow up; and finally for the days when life was
simple and we could imagine it any which way we wanted it and no one could do a thing about it.
"A grownup is a child with layers on." –Woody

An Informative Essay on Gun Control
Due date Informative Essay on Gun Control Introduction The right to possess guns is a fundamental element to American identity. The right to own
and operate guns under certain circumstances is in fact guaranteed as part of the United States Constitution. Over the course of American history and
particularly in the 21st century, there exists a great debate over the possession of guns of private citizens. Both sides of the debate argue with fervor.
There are those that argue fervently for the right to possess arms; they argue for guns with regard to home protection, property protection, personal
security, and that it is a fundamental right as a citizen. On the other side, there are those that reference the persistence of accidental injuries and
fatalities that are gun related. People on this side of the debate argue for the banishment of guns, for stricter gun control laws, and for restrictions on
certain kinds of high caliber guns and ammunition. They argue for the safety of the general population and for the lack of responsibility of those in
possession of guns. They additionally reference the excessive amount of gun violence in media such as music, films, animation, and video games
trying providing moderate to exceptional evidence that access to excessive violent imagery in conjunction with what they view as slack gun control
policies is an equation for tragedies that society is unprepared to handle and should not have to. Each side of the gun control debate has

Essay Informative Speech About Tattoos

  • 1. Essay Informative Speech About Tattoos It seems like everyone has one these days. What used to be the property of sailors, outlaws, and biker gangs is now a popular body decoration for many people. And it's not just anchors, skulls, and battleships anymore, from school emblems to Celtic designs to personalized symbols; people have found many ways to express themselves with them. Maybe you've thought about getting one. Well before you head down to the nearesttattoo shop and roll up your sleeve, there are a few things you need to know. So You Ask, What Exactly is a Tattoo? A tattoo is a puncture wound, made deep in your skin, that's filled with ink. The tattoo is made by penetrating your skin with a needle and injecting ink into the area creating some sort of design of...show more content... Although it looks a lot cooler than a big scab, a new tattoo is also a wound and like any other scrape, puncture, cut or penetration to your skin, a tattoo is at risk for infections and disease. You need to make sure you are up to date with your immunizations (especially hepatitis and tetanus shots) and plan where you will get medical care if your new tattoo does become infected. Signs of infection include excessive redness or tenderness, prolonged bleeding, pus, or changes in your skin color around the tattoo. If you have a medical problem such as heart disease, allergies, diabetes, skin disorders or any condition that affects your immune system or are prone to infections, you should ask your doctor before deciding to get a tattoo. Also, if you are prone to getting keloids (an overgrowth of scar tissue in the area of the wound), it's probably best to avoid getting a tattoo altogether. Avoiding Infection It's very important to make sure the tattoo studio is clean and safe, and that all equipment is disposable (needles, gloves, masks, etc.) and that everything is sterilized. You can call your state, county, or local health department to ask for recommendations on licensed tattoo shops, or to ask about any complaints about a particular studio. Professional studios take pride in their cleanliness; here are a few things to check for: Make sure the studio has an autoclave which is a device that Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Informative Speech On Anxiety Anxiety is one of the most common illnesses in America. Your palms can get sweaty, you get nervous and your blood pressure can increase. Some students can go through anxiety every day just by having to go to school or present in class like I am now. I am presenting a speech in front of a decent size class some of who I am familiar with and some of you who I barely know so that can be a bit scary and nerve racking. I will discuss what Anxiety is, how to diagnose it, and also how to treat it. It is very common and I'm pretty sure most of you know basically what it is. But just in case I will go over the main important things to know about Anxiety. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, anxiety disorders involve more than temporary worry or fear. For a person with an anxiety disorder, the anxiety does not go away and can get worse over time. The feelings can interfere with daily activities such as job performance, school work, and relationships. There are several different types of anxiety disorders. Examples include generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and social anxiety disorder. According to the American psychological association, Anxiety is an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts, and invisible changes like increased blood pressure. You can have OCD, phobias, panic attacks, and PTSD. OCD is basically anxiety that takes the form of obsessions and compulsions. I know many of you guys are scared of spiders or bees and that is Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. EXAMPLE OF INFORMATIVE SPEECH OUTLINE Informative Outline Topic: Impact of Media in the Society and Individual General Purpose: To Inform Specific Purpose:To inform my audience the negative impact of social media in the society and to the individual. Thesis:Social media websites are some of the most popular haunts on the Internet. They have revolutionized the way people communicate and socialize on the Web. I. Introduction A. Attention Getter:Today, just about everyone depends on information and communication to keep their lives moving through daily activities like work, education, health care, leisure activities, entertainment, travelling, personal relationships, and the other stuff with which we are...show more content... 1. There are three basic functions of mass media. a. Providing news and information b. Entertainment c. Education 2. How media influence us a. According to Victoria Sherrow, in her book Violence the question of cause and effect and the Media: There are positive and negative influences of mass media, which we must understand as a responsible person of a society. b. As the 20th century closed, TV exposed us to untold numbers of images of advertising and marketing, suffering and relief, sexuality and violence, celebrity, and much more. Transition: Now that I have discussed the influence of social media, I will now discuss the effects of social media and the impact to the society and to the individual. B. • 5. Informative Speech On Child Development For my informative speech, I wanted to pick a topic that I was familiar with but also wanted to know more about. I came to the conclusion to do my speech over child development. I thought it would be interesting because I am taking a class over child development and my future career is going to be early childhood education and elementary education. (Q.1.) The specific purpose of my speech was to teach my audience what child development is and the three components of child development. I think I did well teaching my audience child development because I clearly stated the three components, I established credibility, and made it relatable to my audience. Everyone has been through child development, if you have not been then you would still be an infant. (Q.2.) In comparison to my demonstration speech, I believe the introduction to my informative speech was much stronger, because I told a story instead of asking a question. My story allowed for my audience to have a mental picture of what I was talking about. How I related child development to my audience was much more effective in my informative speech than my demonstration speech. In my demonstration speech, not everyone raised their hand when I asked my question. In my informative speech, I related it to my audience by saying everyone has went through child development. I felt more confident in my informative speech because I practiced many times in front of my family and friends. I got marked points off for being too read–y in my demonstration speech, so for my informative speech I worked on not memorizing the whole thing. By not memorizing my informative speech I felt more confident while presenting. (Q.3.) My oral citations helped my credibility of my informative speech. My oral citations supported my facts so my audience knew I was telling the truth. All of my citations were used to define child development and the three components. I wanted my audience to know all the proper definitions because they are not familiar with the topic of child development. I used four oral citations in my informative speech. Two were authors and the other two were websites. These oral citations provided my audience with all the correct information about Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Informative Essay: The Second Amendment In my opinion, the second amendment should stay the same and not be changed. People should have the right to have guns. What was the point of making that an amendment if we are just going to change that? For instance, if someone were to be out in the middle of nowhere I believe they should be able to have a gun on them because there are strange people in the world and you never know what could happen. Even if we were to try to get rid of all of the guns people would probably hide some and the people without them would then be in danger. I think that guns are used because they also help people not only protect people from others, but also from the wild or just to go out and hunt some animals for some food. People without guns daily either become Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 10. Informative Speech: Bullying In School Good Evening, It was brought to my recent attention that there was some tormenting happening around this school. We all know that the world isn't a perfect world, but quite evil sometimes. However, we can work together and create a safe environment in this school. I have a question for you: what is the cruelest thing in this world? Do you think about war, death, rape or robbery? These answers are all correct, I won't disagree, yet in my opinion, I will say bullying is on top of the list. Bullying makes teenagers feel inferior, depressed, worthless, and fearless. Can you imagine going to school every day fearing what might happen? Can you imagine having to drop out because you can't take it anymore, or taking the worst case out; suicide?...show more content... This situation won't stop unless we put a stop towards it. Let's be the school where it doesn't matter how we look, how we dress, or what we like. I want our school to be unique. Where we value differences. I need you all to be honest. Why bring someone down? Does it help your self–esteem if you call them stupid, ugly, a loser or a loner? Some might say words are just words. Yet, for some people, words mean a thousand things, and it will take them a lifetime to get over it. Have you ever thought that you aren't the only one with feelings or frights in this world? When I was younger I was a chubby girl, with big black glasses and acne all around my face. It became even worse when I had to use an orthodontic headgear. I recall going to school, and just wanting the ground to swallow me up. Wherever I went people followed me with their stares. Walking in the hallways I could see people pointing at me, and laughing with their friends. You know what I felt? Like I didn't belong. Sickness was my way out. Fake stomachaches, headaches, and coughs were my way to skip school. Never did I have a friend who would tell me I was beautiful just the way I am. That it doesn't matter how I look from the outside, but from the inside. That I had a pure heart and that's what Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Essay Growing Up When I Grow Up.. "Being 'grown up' isn't as fun as the idea of growing up." –AmberGrace Seguin Remember when we were young and all we could think of was growing up and getting to do 'grownup' things? We spent our whole childhood thinking of what we would do when we finally 'grew up', and here we are, almost completely grown up and we still haven't made up our mind of what it is we will do when we grow up.
