Instant Gratification Monkey
After watching these videos about motivation, procrastination, and leadership, it is difficult not to find myself identifying with all of the
discussions, but some more than others. I commonly get attacked by the instant gratification monkey and put off important things, although it isn't
near the same level as the speaker who had to write his thesis in 72 hours. My motivation is not usually a problem, and I agree that when we are
able to put aside distractions and focus on a task, we have so much power to do things. However it is a process which, hopefully, we are all making
progress in order to become better at motivating ourselves. My leadership is something I value and I am working on developing. All three of these
aspects are important to consider is our lives so that we can learn our strengths and weaknesses in order to work on improving ourselves.
Procrastination is something I struggle with sometimes for short term projects, but fortunately usually I just have more difficult work instead o
completely failing at my work. A lot of times my work takes longer or is delayed because my instant gratification monkey helps me do other things
like watch sports or play games. However, since I recognize this, I hope I will have better success defeating my procrastination. It is...show more

I am a youth group co–leader, assistant high school basketball coach, and usually take leadership roles in other group situations. I don't say any of
this out of pride, but because I truly do believe that even for soft skills, like leadership, practice makes perfect. I am no perfect leader and I never
will be, but I should, and hopefully will, improve. A lot of times, I am asked my others to step into leadership positions which is similar to what I
talked about with motivation. In the future I will need to go out and seek leadership on my own instead of waiting for people to prod

The impact of instant communication on globalization
Researchers attribute the 14th century to the commencement of globalization after Columbus's discovery in 1492. The Columbian Exchange paved
way to a new connection among the global population by exchanges of plants, animals, diseases and technology between the Europeans and the Native
Americans (Gambino, 2011). Given globalized nature of the 21st century coupled with the advancements in technology, businesses have become
worldwide endeavors. The more people deal with regions outside their domain, the more they learn about the other countries' culture and ways and
means of communication and communication channels to execute effective business. Therefore, the exchange of information between people that is
referred to as communication is a pivotal constituent of success in businesses (Meg Coffin and Joy 176). Information in the business world is time
sensitive and it is crucial that all messages are attended by the receiver as the sender has intended in order to facilitate effective communication.
Therefore, instant communication is significant because it provides information and clarifications quickly.
Researchers Norman and Eileen Sondakm, in 1995, have suggested that in the future "direct interactive conferencing that also allows the use of a
complete set of visual aids, supports the use of a wide array of computer software, and supplies a permanent record for later reference and study". They
believe that although this proposition may be construed as science fiction, it would indeed be how communication channels would exist in the
following decades (Sondak and Sondak 1). They have predicted the future quite accurately. Just a couple of decades ago, people communicated with
letters by mail, telegrams and landline telephones. These means of correspondence have undergone a sea of change leading to the advent of multiple
means of instant communication. Today, this includes emails, mobile phone calls, Skype video calls, text messages, fax, socialmedia and to some extent
the cloud. People, and especially businesses find it very difficult to thrive without these modes of communication. Therefore, instant communication,
now, plays an important role in the lives

Essay On Instant Noodles
Introduction
Instant noodles are dried or pre cooked noodles and are often sold with packets of flavouring including seasoning oil. Dried noodles are usually eaten
after being cooked or soaked in boiling water, while pre cooked noodles can be reheated or eaten straight from the packet. Instant noodles were
invented by Nissin foods which is the world leader in instant noodles today.
The main ingredients in Instant Noodles consist of flour, starch, water, salt and flavouring .The shelf life of instant noodles range from 4–12 months
depending on the area it dwells within. Their stability comes from the high sodium content with low moisture, and low water activity. Instant noodles
can be served after 1–2 minutes in boiled water or soaked in hot...show more content...

Essay on Instant Messaging and College Students
Instant Messaging and College Students
In the past few years, technology has taken over our world. Our lives are flowing rapidly into a technology–based planet; can you remember a time
when people did not walk around with a cell phone attached to their heads? Do you recall a time when you had to pull out the map book to find
directions instead of heading over to www.mapquest.com? One of the newer technological devices to make its way into the United States, and
especially into the lives of college students, is instant messenger. The question we must ask ourselves about instant messenger, a question we must ask
about any new piece of technology is, does this creation benefit us or harm us? Instant messenger has many positive...show more content...
First, I will look the positive qualities of instant messaging. One good thing about instant messaging is that it is quick and easy to use. At Calvin
College, as most other colleges, students have direct access to the internet, and therefore instant messaging, right in their dorm rooms. In fact its
access is so convenient that Ethan Fry says, "You would really have to be living under a rock to be in college and not know what AOL Instant
Messenger is" ("AOL Instant Messenger a College Must"). Because of its easy access, many students use this program. For example, my "buddy list"
has increased by twenty–eight since my arrival at school. Since so many students use instant messenger, it becomes a key way for scholars to
communicate. It is much easier to quickly instant message five people and ask, "Do you want to go eat dinner?" than look up their phone numbers,
and call each one, one at a time.
Instant messaging does more than create easy communication; it is a social experience as well. As many will attest, it is much easier and less
stressful to talk online than on the phone or in person. It has a certain impersonal aspect to it, which one can hide behind when communicating. No
one has to see if one is angry or upset if he or she does not want him or her to. It is an especially helpful device for shy people. They can start a
relationship online, and eventually build it up to one where they can meet in

Huck Finn Instant Communication Analysis
Instant communication is an necessary part modern of life. Buried behind my everyday technology, I am able to communicate and stay up–to–date with
friends' lives without face–to–face interactions. Social media seems to eliminate the need to think about what is being said or the effect of the
communication on readers. Countless hours spent tweeting do not require any more thought than how to simply make clever comments for the
public to read. The only real way to dig deeper is to actually make an effort to overcome what has now become the awkwardness of talking directly
to an online "friend." A willingness to go beyond the false relationship of social media is important to broadening the understanding of self and the
world. In my English class last year, socratic seminars were held to discuss topics in novel we were reading. In one particular seminar, I remember a
discussion related to The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Students struggled to get past simple answers to questions about why Huck Finn treated Jim
differently at the end of the book versus how he...show more content...
I believe the inability to go beneath the surface may correlate to the tendency of young people reading fewer books and not bothering to search for the
meaning behind what is written. Reading books requires us to critically think about what is going on and to predict what will happen next. Being
immersed in social media and texting does not give us time to practice imagination and intellectual skills, which in turn causes them to deteriorate, let
alone truly develop. Not having access to phones and computers in a single class–hour, was not enough to truly allow my classmates to reflect
thoroughly on the deeper meaning of the relationship of Huck Finn and Jim. Putting our phones aside and turning off our computers for a day or so,
probably would have made the discussion

A Study On Using Instant Messaging
In today's world, everyone is surrounded by technology everywhere for example, our smart phones can connect to the web along with instant messaging
to anywhere in the world. A study by Levine, Waite, and Bowman examines how the relationship between the new collaborative technologies such as
instant messaging (IMing) have great impact of the capability of students to stay concentrated on their academic tasks. Accordingly, the authors not
only examined the consequences on continuous interruptions of IMing however, they also explored at the consequences of multitasking with their
schoolwork. In the study, it was hypothesized that those students who spent a huge amount of time on IMing, they have a tough time focusing on their
school tasks such as academic reading. The method authors used to test their hypothesis was by making students to do survey that have 55 item
questionnaire that is structured to find out how much each student use electronic media in terms of IMing and what are the few ways they are using
instant messaging.
Method
The study of IMing survey was participated by students who were primarily White/Non–Hispanic (83%) from working middle–class families. A group
of fifteen females and 46 male college students from psychology classes were requested to share their experiences about the IMing habits where they
also received extra course points for participating in the 55–item questionnaire survey. The IMing student survey begins with determining how much

roughly 4.2 billion individuals! In any case, not everybody is excited about the thought of messaging. Numerous language specialists, instructors and

How are the writers trying to persuade a viewing audience? Explain I–The writers are trying to persuade the audience by showing them you better be

I Am A Great Writer
I'm a great writer. Writing is something that comes naturally to me. I don't even have to think about it most of the time. Being able to communicate
through writing is important with any career, especially management. I am very creative as well. Ever since I was a kid, I've always been into
drawing, music, and coming up with new ideas. I am very motivated and I know how to lead teams. For example, in my Business Ethics class I took it
upon myself led a semi–dysfunctional team and we achieved a good grade in the class. I am also a perfectionist, which is good but can easily
backfire on me. Where I See My Management Weaknesses One of my weaknesses might be that I'm an introvert. To address the introvert/extravert
issue; I'd say I'm more of an introvert. Some of my favorite authors including Zig Ziglar and Grant Cardone identify themselves as introverts
although they come across as strong extraverts. Mr. Ziglar said something that made me want to get into sales. He said that introverts make better
salespeople because they can relate to the customer better, research what the customer wants, and adopt characteristics that an extravert has. On
my spare time I read books like "Sell or be sold" by Grant Cardone, "See you at the top" by Zig Ziglar, "Live your dreams" by Les Brown, and of
course "The War of Art" by Steven Pressfield. All of which motivate me and make me a better person. I view success as my obligation, duty, and
responsibility and I believe it is dangerous to be

Is Instant Messaging Ruining America? It is the year 2017 I am astonished to say that out of 1,721 high schools and 1,266,505 high school students in
the state of Texas, the educational testing service and the Texas education agency still cannot determine the answer to this mystifying question. We live
in an age of information and an increasing need for automation in every aspect of everyday life. Is technology ruining our since of face to face
communication? New advancements in instant messaging has helped connect people but some may say instant messaging has hurt us more than it
helped. I think that instant messaging helps us in many ways. When you're sitting at the side of the freeway with smoke coming out of your car you

Instant Gratification And Its Effect On Society
Instant gratification is something that everybody is used to nowadays. Whether wanting to find an answer to a question, needing to add numbers
together or finding out if a pregnancy test is positive, answers come instantly. Most people do not realize that earlier generations did not have those
answers available in the blink of an eye. People had to wait for things. They had patience and realized that not everything in the world is instant. Society
now demands that everything should happen right away and we should not have to wait for anything, but that is making the world full of impatient,
entitled people. Since most people do not know what it's like to not have instant gratification most individuals take that for granted. Instant gratification
has caused a lot of problems in society, including taking away face–to–face communication, patience, and certainty.
Problems With Living in a Society With Instant Gratification Instant gratification has become the social norm in this generation but is diminishing the
quality of communication. Cell phones have changed massively in the past few years, making communication weaken each time cell phones are
updated. At first, cell phones were just used for calling. Calling was the only operation that they were capable of and most of the time calling was not
even convenient on a cell phone. Although the concept of texting has been out for decades, actual texting became available to all society in 1994
(Turrettini). Texting instantly

Why I Want To Be A Writer
About halfway through my creative writing degree, I had an existential crisis. Ever since I read Letters to a Young Contrarian at the age of thirteen–
ignore that I only understood about twenty percent of it at the time – I knew I wanted to be a writer. Christopher Hitchens' words inspired me and
sparked a love of literature and intellectual honesty that persists to this day. However, as weeks turned into months in class, I kept thinking, do I even
want to be a writer, and if so, what stories do I want to tell? These thoughts remained and grew louder, creating a mental block that impacted my
creativity and thus made the plethora of writing assignments I was given more unbearable. It was a vicious cycle that led me down a path of
self–reflection

Instant
I'll always remember Instant. That was the nickname the men had tacked onto the muscled giant that wielded the M60 in my unit. "Instant" was short for
"Instant Death." And I'll always remember the first time I saw Instant in action. I was a new Lieutenant assigned to Vietnam. Back then, the Army
didn't try to develop any "team spirit" within the corps; men were rotated frequently before any friendships developed. Consequently, my men were a
group of strangers united only by the need to survive. They were eighteen– and nineteen–year–olds with the eyes of old men. My first real assignment
was to check a tiny hamlet, Dien Hoa.
Army Intelligence believed the Viet Cong were operating from Dien Hoa. Our job was to...show more content...
It took nearly an hour to walk through the grassland and occasional wooded section of the valley to the heavy jungle area at the foot of the hills. Our
speed slowed while we went up the slight incline and wove through the ever thickening vegetation. At the ridge which overlooked Dien Hoa, we halted
while I inspected the village below them with my binoculars.
I searched for a warning sign, some hint of danger. Old men, women, and children, with a few water buffalo, milled around; everything appeared
normal.
But I knew that just because an area "looked" business–as–usual it meant nothing in Vietnam.
"Call headquarters," I told my radio man as I lowered my binoculars. Moments later, he had reached headquarters with his radio. I took the phone
piece and let my commander know what the situation was. As expected, we were ordered to continue toward the village. I gave the radio phone–piece
to the radioman, put my helmet back onto my head, and stood.
"Sergeant," I said.
"Yes, Sir," Sergeant Nelson answered. The burley, middle
–aged trooper squinted at me. His face was wrinkles, sunburn, and peeling skin.
"We got bunched up on our way up," I said. "Be sure they keep spaced apart."
Sergeant Nelson nodded. I didn't have to tell him that it would be essential to keep spaced in case of an ambush. I hoped the new guys would take his

Instant Messaging
Instant messaging is a tool used by a vast majority of Internet users. This new tools has some advantages and some disadvantages. IM is used a lot of
the time in education. It's used for recruiting and admissions, student–faculty communications, library consultations, group projects, and immediate
feedback, and discussions during lectures. Businesses are also finding instant messaging useful, as well as the deaf community. Some of the
disadvantages are that teachers don't feel comfortable using IM, instant messaging might interfere with students work, and viruses can be passed via
instant messaging through links. Instant messaging seems to have a more positive side than negative....show more content...
College students use IM all the time. It's a real easy way for them to keep in touch with friends from back home. If their parents' have a screen name
than they can easily talk to them too. Instant messaging is a lot cheaper than having to pay the phone bill. One can stay online and chat forever and not
have to worry about the minutes.
Another important way that instant messaging benefits society is working through communities. One example is the deaf community. This IM tool
allows them to talk to one another without having to communicate verbally.
Not only does IM benefit students and the deaf community, but also businesses. "Among the users, mail order companies are deploying IM for
customer services to help prevent long telephone hold times. E–commerce companies are bolstering their Web sites with IM buttons so customers can
immediately chat with a customer service representative then send e–mail" (Goldsborough, 2001). Many customers will enjoy this new use of IM.
They will get in touch with companies faster and get urgent questions answered. "Businesses in many industries are leveraging IM for collaboration"
(2001).
Schools are beginning to benefit around the nation because of the new technology of instant messaging. Morris Library, which is the library of
Southern Illinois University, is one excellent example of how instant messaging is able to help students.

The Pros And Cons Of Instant Replays

you read them. Today this article is going to bring you both sides of the story for slo–mo replays and maybe this can convince you to be at peace with
them. They have instant replays because they help make the right call and they also help people understands what's going on. There are still reason
why they probably shouldn't be there. So now that you know what this article is going to be talking about just go ahead and get right into it. In this

"Particularly given modern technologies that increase the ability to view controversial plays from multiple angles, and ease communication between
officials" Berman claims. Not to mention they've even made headquarters for it "Professional sports leagues have taken steps to ease this dissension by
creating headquarters for all the replays across the league" Berman continues. So it seems it's not only the fans who want accuracy. Did you zone out
while watching the game and missed an important moment? Well the instant replay still has your back so you get full details on everything.
"Instant replay may be a boon for people watching on tv," Berman says. Also if you don't get it the first replay there is likely to be more "Who get
benefit of seeing the play in question dozens of times from every angle and hearing from commentators whose job it is to get them interested"
Berman continues. While replays have a lot of pros there are some cons. Replays make games longer "But the game hasn't slowed down dramatically
because of replay, and the slowing down we've seen only fits a pattern that, before, had nothing to do with replay at all." Says Jeff Sullivan. Other than
replay there are more issues "At issue is a question of efficiency. Instant–replay review is new, and it could be more efficient. The same could be said of
the gameplay, which goes on a lot longer than a challenge does" Sullivan

Another reason it is essential to place an emphasis on creative writing in the classroom is because of today's rapidly developing society. As the world
has become so technologically advanced, there have become more and more ways for people to use written communication to express their thoughts.
Where there was once snail mail and emails, now things have become as instantaneous as a text message or Tweet. Since people seem to write with
such haste and almost carelessness today, it is important for students to be provided with slower paced writing exploration in the classroom. In "Writing
for the Instant Messaging and Text Messaging Generation: Using New Literacies to Support Writing Instruction," Sheelah M. Sweeney states,
"Teachers may be concerned about the way some students write [...] imagining the potential negative impact on their students' academic writing, but
this interest can be an instructional advantage" (Sweeney, 2010, p. 121). While naturally there may be cause for concern with the way students can
erroneously communicate so quickly through the written word, the unease teachers may have will actually be a good thing for students if these
educators move forward with awareness instead of ignorance. Technology is one aspect of society that will not be regressing in the future, and the best
way educators can adapt to this is by incorporating these advancements into the education of students in years to come.
This article states that instead of shunning

Instant Gratification Monkey

  • 1. Instant Gratification Monkey After watching these videos about motivation, procrastination, and leadership, it is difficult not to find myself identifying with all of the discussions, but some more than others. I commonly get attacked by the instant gratification monkey and put off important things, although it isn't near the same level as the speaker who had to write his thesis in 72 hours. My motivation is not usually a problem, and I agree that when we are able to put aside distractions and focus on a task, we have so much power to do things. However it is a process which, hopefully, we are all making progress in order to become better at motivating ourselves. My leadership is something I value and I am working on developing. All three of these aspects are important to consider is our lives so that we can learn our strengths and weaknesses in order to work on improving ourselves. Procrastination is something I struggle with sometimes for short term projects, but fortunately usually I just have more difficult work instead o completely failing at my work. A lot of times my work takes longer or is delayed because my instant gratification monkey helps me do other things like watch sports or play games. However, since I recognize this, I hope I will have better success defeating my procrastination. It is...show more content... I am a youth group co–leader, assistant high school basketball coach, and usually take leadership roles in other group situations. I don't say any of this out of pride, but because I truly do believe that even for soft skills, like leadership, practice makes perfect. I am no perfect leader and I never will be, but I should, and hopefully will, improve. A lot of times, I am asked my others to step into leadership positions which is similar to what I talked about with motivation. In the future I will need to go out and seek leadership on my own instead of waiting for people to prod Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. The impact of instant communication on globalization Researchers attribute the 14th century to the commencement of globalization after Columbus's discovery in 1492. The Columbian Exchange paved way to a new connection among the global population by exchanges of plants, animals, diseases and technology between the Europeans and the Native Americans (Gambino, 2011). Given globalized nature of the 21st century coupled with the advancements in technology, businesses have become worldwide endeavors. The more people deal with regions outside their domain, the more they learn about the other countries' culture and ways and means of communication and communication channels to execute effective business. Therefore, the exchange of information between people that is referred to as communication is a pivotal constituent of success in businesses (Meg Coffin and Joy 176). Information in the business world is time sensitive and it is crucial that all messages are attended by the receiver as the sender has intended in order to facilitate effective communication. Therefore, instant communication is significant because it provides information and clarifications quickly. Researchers Norman and Eileen Sondakm, in 1995, have suggested that in the future "direct interactive conferencing that also allows the use of a complete set of visual aids, supports the use of a wide array of computer software, and supplies a permanent record for later reference and study". They believe that although this proposition may be construed as science fiction, it would indeed be how communication channels would exist in the following decades (Sondak and Sondak 1). They have predicted the future quite accurately. Just a couple of decades ago, people communicated with letters by mail, telegrams and landline telephones. These means of correspondence have undergone a sea of change leading to the advent of multiple means of instant communication. Today, this includes emails, mobile phone calls, Skype video calls, text messages, fax, socialmedia and to some extent the cloud. People, and especially businesses find it very difficult to thrive without these modes of communication. Therefore, instant communication, now, plays an important role in the lives Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Examples Of Instant Credibility As the example above illustrates, an article published in your name gives you instant credibility because it's editorial matter and hence carries the endorsement of the publication in which it appears. Articles get taken seriously, validate your company and attract prospects, sometimes delivering them right to your door. You don't have to be a professional writer or seasoned journalist to publish expert articles. Whether you're a local retailbusiness, a global management consultant or a startup, publishing articles under your byline can do wonders for your business. With hundreds of thousands of publications to choose from, your opportunities are virtually unlimited. You can do it. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Essay On Instant Noodles Introduction Instant noodles are dried or pre cooked noodles and are often sold with packets of flavouring including seasoning oil. Dried noodles are usually eaten after being cooked or soaked in boiling water, while pre cooked noodles can be reheated or eaten straight from the packet. Instant noodles were invented by Nissin foods which is the world leader in instant noodles today. The main ingredients in Instant Noodles consist of flour, starch, water, salt and flavouring .The shelf life of instant noodles range from 4–12 months depending on the area it dwells within. • 5. Essay on Instant Messaging and College Students Instant Messaging and College Students In the past few years, technology has taken over our world. Our lives are flowing rapidly into a technology–based planet; can you remember a time when people did not walk around with a cell phone attached to their heads? Do you recall a time when you had to pull out the map book to find directions instead of heading over to www.mapquest.com? One of the newer technological devices to make its way into the United States, and especially into the lives of college students, is instant messenger. The question we must ask ourselves about instant messenger, a question we must ask about any new piece of technology is, does this creation benefit us or harm us? Instant messenger has many positive...show more content... First, I will look the positive qualities of instant messaging. One good thing about instant messaging is that it is quick and easy to use. At Calvin College, as most other colleges, students have direct access to the internet, and therefore instant messaging, right in their dorm rooms. In fact its access is so convenient that Ethan Fry says, "You would really have to be living under a rock to be in college and not know what AOL Instant Messenger is" ("AOL Instant Messenger a College Must"). Because of its easy access, many students use this program. For example, my "buddy list" has increased by twenty–eight since my arrival at school. Since so many students use instant messenger, it becomes a key way for scholars to communicate. It is much easier to quickly instant message five people and ask, "Do you want to go eat dinner?" than look up their phone numbers, and call each one, one at a time. Instant messaging does more than create easy communication; it is a social experience as well. As many will attest, it is much easier and less stressful to talk online than on the phone or in person. It has a certain impersonal aspect to it, which one can hide behind when communicating. No one has to see if one is angry or upset if he or she does not want him or her to. It is an especially helpful device for shy people. They can start a relationship online, and eventually build it up to one where they can meet in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Huck Finn Instant Communication Analysis Instant communication is an necessary part modern of life. Buried behind my everyday technology, I am able to communicate and stay up–to–date with friends' lives without face–to–face interactions. Social media seems to eliminate the need to think about what is being said or the effect of the communication on readers. Countless hours spent tweeting do not require any more thought than how to simply make clever comments for the public to read. The only real way to dig deeper is to actually make an effort to overcome what has now become the awkwardness of talking directly to an online "friend." A willingness to go beyond the false relationship of social media is important to broadening the understanding of self and the world. In my English class last year, socratic seminars were held to discuss topics in novel we were reading. In one particular seminar, I remember a discussion related to The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Students struggled to get past simple answers to questions about why Huck Finn treated Jim differently at the end of the book versus how he...show more content... I believe the inability to go beneath the surface may correlate to the tendency of young people reading fewer books and not bothering to search for the meaning behind what is written. Reading books requires us to critically think about what is going on and to predict what will happen next. Being immersed in social media and texting does not give us time to practice imagination and intellectual skills, which in turn causes them to deteriorate, let alone truly develop. Not having access to phones and computers in a single class–hour, was not enough to truly allow my classmates to reflect thoroughly on the deeper meaning of the relationship of Huck Finn and Jim. Putting our phones aside and turning off our computers for a day or so, probably would have made the discussion Get more content on HelpWriting.net

A Study On Using Instant Messaging In today's world, everyone is surrounded by technology everywhere for example, our smart phones can connect to the web along with instant messaging to anywhere in the world. A study by Levine, Waite, and Bowman examines how the relationship between the new collaborative technologies such as instant messaging (IMing) have great impact of the capability of students to stay concentrated on their academic tasks. Accordingly, the authors not only examined the consequences on continuous interruptions of IMing however, they also explored at the consequences of multitasking with their schoolwork. In the study, it was hypothesized that those students who spent a huge amount of time on IMing, they have a tough time focusing on their school tasks such as academic reading. The method authors used to test their hypothesis was by making students to do survey that have 55 item questionnaire that is structured to find out how much each student use electronic media in terms of IMing and what are the few ways they are using instant messaging. Method The study of IMing survey was participated by students who were primarily White/Non–Hispanic (83%) from working middle–class families. Indeed, in 2011, Alexander (2011) guaranteed that 60% of individuals are dynamic "texters"– that is roughly 4.2 billion individuals! In any case, not everybody is excited about the thought of messaging. Numerous language specialists, instructors and folks think messaging is stupefying education and are worried that it is influencing understudies ' schoolwork. • 11. I Am A Great Writer I'm a great writer. Writing is something that comes naturally to me. I don't even have to think about it most of the time. Being able to communicate through writing is important with any career, especially management. I am very creative as well. Ever since I was a kid, I've always been into drawing, music, and coming up with new ideas. I am very motivated and I know how to lead teams. For example, in my Business Ethics class I took it upon myself led a semi–dysfunctional team and we achieved a good grade in the class. I am also a perfectionist, which is good but can easily backfire on me. Where I See My Management Weaknesses One of my weaknesses might be that I'm an introvert. To address the introvert/extravert issue; I'd say I'm more of an introvert. Some of my favorite authors including Zig Ziglar and Grant Cardone identify themselves as introverts although they come across as strong extraverts. Mr. Ziglar said something that made me want to get into sales. He said that introverts make better salespeople because they can relate to the customer better, research what the customer wants, and adopt characteristics that an extravert has. On my spare time I read books like "Sell or be sold" by Grant Cardone, "See you at the top" by Zig Ziglar, "Live your dreams" by Les Brown, and of course "The War of Art" by Steven Pressfield. All of which motivate me and make me a better person. I view success as my obligation, duty, and responsibility and I believe it is dangerous to be Get more content on HelpWriting.net

It is the year 2017 I am astonished to say that out of 1,721 high schools and 1,266,505 high school students in the state of Texas, the educational testing service and the Texas education agency still cannot determine the answer to this mystifying question. We live in an age of information and an increasing need for automation in every aspect of everyday life. Is technology ruining our since of face to face communication? New advancements in instant messaging has helped connect people but some may say instant messaging has hurt us more than it helped. I think that instant messaging helps us in many ways. • 13. Instant Gratification And Its Effect On Society Instant gratification is something that everybody is used to nowadays. Whether wanting to find an answer to a question, needing to add numbers together or finding out if a pregnancy test is positive, answers come instantly. Most people do not realize that earlier generations did not have those answers available in the blink of an eye. People had to wait for things. They had patience and realized that not everything in the world is instant. Society now demands that everything should happen right away and we should not have to wait for anything, but that is making the world full of impatient, entitled people. Since most people do not know what it's like to not have instant gratification most individuals take that for granted. Instant gratification has caused a lot of problems in society, including taking away face–to–face communication, patience, and certainty. Problems With Living in a Society With Instant Gratification Instant gratification has become the social norm in this generation but is diminishing the quality of communication. Cell phones have changed massively in the past few years, making communication weaken each time cell phones are updated. At first, cell phones were just used for calling. Calling was the only operation that they were capable of and most of the time calling was not even convenient on a cell phone. Although the concept of texting has been out for decades, actual texting became available to all society in 1994 (Turrettini). Texting instantly Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Why I Want To Be A Writer About halfway through my creative writing degree, I had an existential crisis. Ever since I read Letters to a Young Contrarian at the age of thirteen– ignore that I only understood about twenty percent of it at the time – I knew I wanted to be a writer. Christopher Hitchens' words inspired me and sparked a love of literature and intellectual honesty that persists to this day. However, as weeks turned into months in class, I kept thinking, do I even want to be a writer, and if so, what stories do I want to tell? These thoughts remained and grew louder, creating a mental block that impacted my creativity and thus made the plethora of writing assignments I was given more unbearable. It was a vicious cycle that led me down a path of self–reflection Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Instant Essay Instant I'll always remember Instant. That was the nickname the men had tacked onto the muscled giant that wielded the M60 in my unit. "Instant" was short for "Instant Death." And I'll always remember the first time I saw Instant in action. I was a new Lieutenant assigned to Vietnam. Back then, the Army didn't try to develop any "team spirit" within the corps; men were rotated frequently before any friendships developed. Consequently, my men were a group of strangers united only by the need to survive. They were eighteen– and nineteen–year–olds with the eyes of old men. My first real assignment was to check a tiny hamlet, Dien Hoa. Army Intelligence believed the Viet Cong were operating from Dien Hoa. Our job was to...show more content... It took nearly an hour to walk through the grassland and occasional wooded section of the valley to the heavy jungle area at the foot of the hills. Our speed slowed while we went up the slight incline and wove through the ever thickening vegetation. At the ridge which overlooked Dien Hoa, we halted while I inspected the village below them with my binoculars. I searched for a warning sign, some hint of danger. Old men, women, and children, with a few water buffalo, milled around; everything appeared normal. But I knew that just because an area "looked" business–as–usual it meant nothing in Vietnam. "Call headquarters," I told my radio man as I lowered my binoculars. Moments later, he had reached headquarters with his radio. I took the phone piece and let my commander know what the situation was. As expected, we were ordered to continue toward the village. I gave the radio phone–piece to the radioman, put my helmet back onto my head, and stood. "Sergeant," I said. "Yes, Sir," Sergeant Nelson answered. The burley, middle –aged trooper squinted at me. His face was wrinkles, sunburn, and peeling skin. "We got bunched up on our way up," I said. "Be sure they keep spaced apart." Sergeant Nelson nodded. I didn't have to tell him that it would be essential to keep spaced in case of an ambush. I hoped the new guys would take his orders Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Instant Messaging Essay Instant Messaging Instant messaging is a tool used by a vast majority of Internet users. This new tools has some advantages and some disadvantages. IM is used a lot of the time in education. It's used for recruiting and admissions, student–faculty communications, library consultations, group projects, and immediate feedback, and discussions during lectures. Businesses are also finding instant messaging useful, as well as the deaf community. Some of the disadvantages are that teachers don't feel comfortable using IM, instant messaging might interfere with students work, and viruses can be passed via instant messaging through links. It's a real easy way for them to keep in touch with friends from back home. If their parents' have a screen name than they can easily talk to them too. While naturally there may be cause for concern with the way students can erroneously communicate so quickly through the written word, the unease teachers may have will actually be a good thing for students if these educators move forward with awareness instead of ignorance. Technology is one aspect of society that will not be regressing in the future, and the best way educators can adapt to this is by incorporating these advancements into the education of students in years to come. In the given scenario if I came across a laptop that was used by the terrorists I would be able to get an order from a judge to search the computer however, according to the patriot act law enforcement officials are able to search and find information without tipping off any terrorists. Justice.gov states that "In some cases if criminals are tipped off too early to an investigation, they might flee, destroy evidence, intimidate or kill witnesses, cut off contact with associates, or take other action to evade arrest.
