The E5P Fund is a multi-donor fund established in 2010 to invest in municipal projects that cut CO2 emissions and protect the environment across Eastern Europe. It provides investment grants to leverage loans from financial institutions for projects focused on energy efficiency, street lighting, public transport, and more. Over EUR 350 million has been contributed by the EU, Germany, Sweden, and other donors for projects in Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Moldova. Examples include LED street lighting upgrades, building energy efficiency retrofits, and electric public transportation. The fund is governed by an Assembly of Contributors and managed by the EBRD.
