• NRLM
To launch a multi pronged attack on the multiple
dimensions of poverty in a concreted manner. This can
be done only through a process of demand-led-
convergence.
• MGNREGA
It aims to enhance livelihood security in rural areas by
providing at least 100 days of wage employment in a
financial year to every household whose adult members
volunteer to do unskilled manual work.

a. SHG may engaged their members a supervisor at
all work sites.
b. Members may be co-opted in social audit team,
vigilance and monitoring committees.

6. How MGNREGA Support SHG
• MGNREGA itself can trigger formation of more
SHGs for implementation of collective schemes.
• Individual and collective assets for SHG
members can be developed through MGNREGS
which can further be used for livelihood
generation by the groups.

SHG under MGNREGS
