efficient transport of chrome, manganese and coal from mine
to port and port to discharge port.

5. SERVICES
Black iGolide (Pty) Ltd expertise lies in providing efficient and effective supply chain
solutions, which ensure our clients’ raw materials (chrome, manganese and coal) are
transported safely from mine to port and port to discharge port.
1. Sourcing
Our specialists have years of experience in sourcing only the best raw materials for
our clients. Black iGolide presently focuses on run-of-mine, lumpy, chips, feedstock
and concentrates of chrome ore (LG1-7, MG1-4 and UG1-2), manganese ore and
steaming coal (RB1 and RB3).
2. Contractual agreements
Black iGolide facilitates contractual agreements between supplier and buyer, and
between buyer and end-user – all done in accordance with Incoterms 2010. With an
extensive background in maritime, shipping and logistics, our specialists can
guarantee efficient and effective coordination and cooperation, which leads to
growth in our clients’ profitability, competitive capability, and end-user satisfaction.
2.1 Offtake agreements
With benefits to buyers and sellers, offtake agreements can be essential for clients
looking to expand and develop their natural resource acquisitions. Our experts can
also ensure a benefit to buyers, as a price can be secured before the materials have
been extracted.
2.2 Marketing agreements
These agreements guarantee total exposure between the suppliers and the end-users,
and can boost profitability for both parties
3. Stock monitoring / Inventory Management
By accurately tracking, assessing and measuring our clients’ stock, Black iGolide can
minimise trading and transaction risks while protecting our clients’ investments. This
service also ensures that our clients meet their contractual obligations.
4. Laytime calculations
Black iGolide’s background knowledge in maritime, logistics and shipping allow
for detailed laytime calculations. Laytime is set out by the charterer, and provides a
means to protect both our suppliers and end-users, by calculating the amount of time
it would take for loading and discharging the cargo.
5. Charter party agreements
Not all companies have their own charters at their disposal and for this reason,
Black iGolide facilitates charter party agreements. These agreements are between
a ship-owner and a merchant, and define the period for which the ship will be let or
hired for the transport of goods.
6. Freight rate negotiation
With years of experience, our experts have built up a network of contacts and
knowledge, which allows us to give our clients the best feasible freight rates within the
industry.
7. Customs clearance
We prepare and submit documents on behalf of our clients in order to facilitate their
exports. During customs examination, assessment and payment of duty, our clients
can rest assured that they are represented by our specialists.
8. Port Agent
Black iGolide will act as the shipping agency for our clients. This means we will be
held responsible for handling shipments and cargo on behalf and in the interests of
our clients.
9. Cargo documents
We prepare and handle the cargo documents, which are in-line with the letter of
credit or contractual agreements. These include a bill of lading, a certificate of quality
and quantity, a certificate of origin, draft surveying and a commercial invoice.

6. ANCILLARY SERVICES
Black iGolide Logistics (Pty) Ltd facilitates the seamless coordination of the following:
• Communication among and between Richards Bay Coal Terminal, Transnet
Freight Rail, Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation, Transnet
National Ports Authority, Department of Mineral Resources and junior BEE coal
producers (Quattro members) and service providers;
• Quattro members’ railing programmes in consultation with Richards Bay Coal
Terminal and Transnet Freight Rail; and
• The use of stockpiles and grades at Richards Bay Coal Terminal and the
development of agreements between parties where shared facilities need to
be utilised.
Our experts will assist our clients, wherever possible, with:
• Any guarantees and agreements (required from time to time) involving
Richards Bay Coal Terminal, Transnet Freight Rail, Transnet National Ports
Authority and all service providers in the chain (responsibility for guarantees
and agreements always remain with the successful Quatro applicants); and
• Liaising with the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation, including
compilation of quarterly reports encapsulating all performance related issues
of the Quattro Programme.
