Sneak peak from the Induction Day at KIAMS, Harihar:
With Mr. Swami Krishna, VP, Talent Acquisition and Employee Engagement at Sasken Technologies,
Bangalore as the Chief Guest for the event, the day stood for an absolute roll! Post the welcome address
that revolved primarily around the theme- “Inclusion and Diversity in the KIAMS ecosystem,” students
were briefed on the Indian civilization and its richness.
Thereafter, Mr. SwamiKrishna took the stage to speak eloquentlyaround the concept of the “guru” or
mentor. He said “a teacher’s contribution to one’s life is undeniably important.” He reminded how one
must not forget one’s teacher, no matter what are the circumstances in life.He also spoke on the three
parts of the brain which are related to Memory and Doing. His simple yet rich rendering of ideas had the
audience captivated. To make the session even more relatable and interesting, he co-related high
management principles to simple ground truths.
2. Even Class of 2018 had some really interesting advice for the freshmen. “Your college life will be full of
adventures as you will learn a lot about yourself and work on your strengths. There will be a number of
activities like plays, festivals, debates, sport competitions and seminars that will give you a lot of
opportunities to perform,” advicedShaiviKharbikar, Class of 2018, KIAMS.
Dr.Revathi Iyer,Dean, Academics spoke on the academic rigor at KIAMS and laid down the fundamental
rules of the school. Students got time to know more about their faculty and interact with them over
lunch.
Sneak peak from the Induction Day at KIAMS, Pune:
The inauguration ceremony in the Pune campus was flagged off with the ceremonial lighting of the
lamp. The welcome session focused around the necessity of having a healthy attitude and spirit to
succeed.
Mr.NarpatiLuthra, the VP of the governing council of KIAMS forwarded important insights about
theKirloskar Groupandhow it has been a formidable name in the nation building process of India. Mr.
Luthra further encouraged students to continue striving for success and walk towards their goals.
Dr. Revathi Iyer, Dean, Academics summarized various aspects of the curriculum to the students and
motivated them to stay in sync to their goals. Prof. Ashok Patil addressed the freshmen with his words
of advice- “Over two years you will be exposed to world class industry practices expounded by faculty
members from the theoretical angle and illustrated by industry experts practicing them.”
Thereafter, Mr. D.BNimbalkarsensitized the students tothe cultureof Pune and the ecosystem within the
campus. The inauguration ended with an ice-breaking interactive session over lunch.
