PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
 Junior Engineer at UGVCL(For 1 year)
At this position as a design engineer I was doing the survey, design and installation work of 11kv overhead HT
feeders as well as 440V overhead LT distribution lines. As a field engineer I had to handle the work of erection of
new 11kv feeders, maintenance of existing feeders, releasing new single/three phase Industrial, commercial and
residential connections, checking of electrical meter installations in consumers’ premises and attending faults of
distribution lines. My actions were also concerned with reducing the T&D losses of the distribution lines as well as
ensuring the safe, reliable and quality power supply to the every consumer.
 Graduate Engineering Trainee at GETRI
This training was mainly aimed at providing the in-depth idea about different practices that is currently being
practiced in power distribution sector. It also focused on imparting the knowledge of current trends in power sector
like power trading, GIS mapping, energy conservation and auditing, SCADA implementation in Distribution system
as well as latest technologies in Distribution system.
 Engineering Trainee at ELECTROTHERM (INDIA) LTD.
This training was mainly focused on gaining in-depth knowledge on “INDUCTION MELTING FURNACE” which is
the prime product manufactured by the company. Detailed sessions about functioning of different parts of
Induction Melting Furnace like thyristor based power supply unit, crucible, DM unit, capacitor rack section, DC
choke section, Changeover switch section and Hydraulic unit. Visit to every station of the manufacturing process
from designing to dispatch made me familiar with the processes involved in furnace manufacturing and
development.
 Engineering Trainee at WANAKBORI THERMAL POWER STATION
This training was mainly aimed on learning the processes involved in Power Generation and Transmission. During
this training, detailed visits at different sections of the thermal power plant like boiler section, coal handling plant,
turbine section, generator section, transformer section, switchyard section, control room section, DM water section
and condenser section.
PROJECT ENDEAVORS
 33KV PROPOSED TRACTION SYSTEM:
Final year project aimed at developing a traction system so as to reduce the number of traction substations in the
existing INDIAN RAILWAYS TRACTION SYSTEM. In order to achieve this task we have proposed a 33 kV
traction system in which an AC to AC voltage controller is used in the supply circuit, output of which is controlled
by sensing the load and giving microcontroller based triggering. In order to simulate its practicality we designed a
working model at 15 V. By implementing this project we can save approximately 15 Crore INR from the existing
Indian Railway Traction System.
 Two – Way Intercom With Indicator:
My goal in this project was to establish duplex (two way) communication between two remote stations. I designed
the system by acquiring analog signal from microphone and sending it to the operational amplifiers (Op-Amp) and
then transmitting it to the destination. The system was also capable of acting in the exact opposite manner.-
CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
 Industrial visit to BHESTAN TRACTION SUBSTATION where I learned how they energize the railway tracks and
entire electric functioning of Indian Railway Traction System.
 Industrial visit to STATE LOAD DISPATCH CENTRE , GUJARAT where I learned about the optimum scheduling
and dispatch of electricity with state, intrastate transmission system and real time operations for grid control.
 Industrial Visit to GAS INSULATED SUBSTATION at Sardar Sarovar Hydro Power Plant where I learned the
technical aspects of the gas insulated switch gears and their installations.
