PUBLICATION
 Comparative studies on anti-diabetic effectofthree medicinal plant leavesextractin alloxan induced diabetic albino
wistar rats: histological and biochemical analysis (Shaikh, Jay, Priyanka, Marar and Bandekar, 2014)
PROJECT WORKS
 Analysis of phytochemicals in Phyllanthus acidus leaves extract and its effect on cell line HeLa (2013)
o Methodology involved using soxhlet apparatus for extract preparation and its qualitative and quantitative
analysis. Exposure to HeLa cell line was done for 24 hours and data was recorded and examined using MS
Excel.
 To study the effects of extract of bacopa monnieri leaves as adjuncts of anti-cancer drugs using chicken embryo
assay (2013)
o Methodology involved preparation of chick embryo liver homogenate, aqueous and ethanolic leaf extract
preparation, biochemical analysis for level of proteins ascorbic acid, glycogen and inorganic phosphate,
results were analyzed using Graphipad student -t test and recorded in MS Excel for interpretation.
 Shelf life study of granola seeds and wheat flour (2015)
o Methodology involved effective plating, microscopy, proper results documentation, pipetting and
interpreting of plate results.
 Development and testing of pepper jaggery drink (2015)
o Methodology involved determination of ascorbic acid (redox titration), sugar (Lane-Eynon method and
BRIX scale- refractometer),salt (silver nitrate titration) and iron content (UV spectrophotometer), a taste
test was also conducted for the general public so as to determine the palatability of 4 different versions of
the same drink.
 Examination of effectiveness of sanitation procedure in a local meat shop (2015)
o Methodology involved swabbing the band saw machine, analysis and identification of specific microbes-
titration, plating and gram staining; based on results suggestions were proposed for improved sanitation.
