2. Robert Adams
Adams uses his photographs to
document the impact of human
activity on the world, using
particular objects in open space or
landscape.
Converting the images to black and
white, he captures how human life
has transformed parts of the natural
world, although there still are
glorious objects of nature that
remain as is.
For instance in this picture, he uses
the stop sign to describe the impact
of human activity and then the tree
as a natural resource.
3. Nida's
photograph
in response to
Robert Adams
I chose to take a
photograph of a highway
sign as the impact of
human activity.
Specifically, the sign of
ICC 200 where people are
required to pay a toll to
take a shortcut route.
The snow in this picture is
the natural resource that
remains glorious and un
affected by human
activity.
4. "The Third
Line" Laleh
Khorramian
The image on the left, is
part of an exhibition called,
"the Third Line." It's an
exhibition Laleh is a part of.
The exhibition consists of
many artists creating infinite
geometric shapes and
designs. The image on the
right is Laleh's creation, in
which she incorporates the
geometric shapes in
creating a figure.
5. Nida's
response to
"The Third
Line"
exhibition.
The infinite geometric shapes
from the exhibition, was very
interesting to me which is why
I chose to do a response piece
reflecting it.
This is a hand drawn image of
geometric shapes created by
me. I intentionally drew it in
black pencil, as I felt it would
bring out the shapes even
more. It's fascinating to put
different shapes on paper and
create a whole other image
using those shapes.
6. Daniel
Gordon
Flying
Pictures
Daniel, uses himself in his
photograph to capture a
moment that didn't really
happen and is only visible
through the photograph.
He created a series of flying
pictures in which he displays
an illusion of himself flying
in mid-air.
7. Nida's
response to
Daniels Flying
pictures.
I created this picture, using a
member of family trying to
make it look he is flying in the
air.(by jumping off one sofa,
landing on the other.)
Although, there is a sofa
underneath him, it kind of
does look like he is flying in
mid-air.
It really is amazing to see how
artists create these images.
Looking at Daniel Gordon's
picture, it doesn't look fake at
all and that’s the illusion he
wanted his viewers to imagine.
