Diamond Offshore Drilling is a deep water drilling contractor servicing the oil and gas industry. The head office

Key Responsibilities:
 Performed crane operations including daily checks – worked in the Crane Team (6 personnel) and
supported the Rig Team (150 personnel)
 Carried out lifting, banksman, slinging and helideck duties as directed and in accordance with
company OH&S procedures and effectively used all safety and environmental tools
 Provided assistance to the welder, mechanic and electrician to ensure the maintenance of the crane,
rig's machinery and equipment in accordance with company maintenance procedures
 Assisted in the care, protection, maintenance and preparation of tubulars on the pipe deck
 Mixed mud chemicals and updated material safety data sheets, cleaned pit / tank / decks and
maintained pump room
 Trained to use spray paint gun and developed knowledge of marine grade paint systems to perform
regular steel preparation and painting
 Ensured all tools and equipment were stowed appropriately at the end of each assignment to avoid
safety hazards for other operators
 Obtained permit to work in accordance with company OH&S procedures before undertaking high risk
