Exercise 2: Read the passage and answer the questions below (5 points):
Cellular Radio Telephones, or cellular telephones or cell phones, provide
voice telephone and other services to mobile users. It is completely portable and
does not need to access the wire – based network like conventional telephone.
Cellular phones become popular with professionals and consumers as a way to
communicate while they are far away from the wire – based phone – for example,
while traveling or when in remote area. Due to the convenience of cellular phones,
users have to pay a higher fee than they do for normal telephone.
There were 120 million users of cell phones in 2001 and the number is
increasing each year. As a result, prices for cell phones and their services are
dropping.
Nowadays, drivers, technicians, lawyers and other professionals are the users
of mobile telephone service. More and more people are buying cell phones for
their personal security, and general conveniences.
