Dismay = to deprive of courage, resolution,
and initiative through the pressure of
sudden fear or anxiety or great perplexity.

3. PRAISE AND WORSHIP TO GOD BRINGSVICTORY

6 When they arrived, Samuel took one look at
Eliab and thought, “Surely this is the LORD’s
anointed!” 7 But the LORD said to Samuel, “Don’t
judge by his appearance or height, for I have
rejected him. The LORD doesn’t see things the way
you see them. People judge by outward
appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”…

• Is more than a formula for manipulating
the Word of God

PRAISE IS THE GENERATOR FOR A
POWERFUL FAITH.

“Then will I ever sing praise to your name and
fulfill my vows day after day.”

36 I have done this to both lions and bears,
and I’ll do it to this pagan Philistine, too, for

Praise builds faith in our spirit.
Giant – slaying faith comes from praise.
Praise prepares us for the miracle–working
power of God.
