Cloud computing involves connecting large numbers of computers through networks like the Internet to provide services. There are three main cloud computing models: Infrastructure as a Service provides storage and computing resources; Platform as a Service offers development tools and services to build cloud applications; and Software as a Service gives users access to complete applications through web portals. Cloud computing use is growing rapidly, with over 70% of businesses now investing in or using cloud solutions and 36% of global data expected to be stored in the cloud by 2016.
