Two poles in a magnet: north pole (N) and a
south pole (S)

pick up certain metal objects, then becomes
electromagnet.

magnetic by an electric current
4. The strength of an electromagnet depends on
the following factors:
– number of turns in a coil
– current flowing in a coil
– length of air gap between poles
