The Importance Of Civic Education
In an era of political depression and high voter suppression, civic education is critical for the advancement of the United States. A civil society is
rooted in civic education. Stated directly in the declaration of independence is the three unalienable rights the government cannot strip you of: life,
liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In a civil society, the utmost concern of the government is happiness and common good of the public. The
government can only do so much for it's people; therefore, it is the responsibility of each and every citizen to become educated and serve a role in
advancing our society. Civic education is the driving force in informing the public of common standards and values that they should abide by when
considering the well–being of our nation. A strong civic education program would contain the fundamental ways the governmental and personal
spheres interact, basic morals that promote the common good, and promote a democratic civil society. This program should be taught over an
extended period of time as the individual progresses through grade school. Civic education is informing the public of the relationship between the
governmental sphere and the personal sphere. In chapter one of DeLue and Dale's Political Thinking, Political Theory, and Civil Society they state
"an important aspect of civil society is that, as a separate sphere, civil society acts as a buffer against the power of the central government," (DeLue
and Dale 2). Civic education

The Importance of Teaching Education
Foundations of Theory and Practice in Master's Studies
Abstract
The Importance of Teaching Education should be a part of everyone's life. A good education offers something for everyone, whether it is on the simple
level or a more complex one. Education should provide an opportunity for students to develop a strong sense of creativity, a high self esteem, and a
lifelong respect for learning
Teachers are the most critical group among the society of America today. They are not only the most influential people to the knowledge of students
but also the individuals who make it possible to expand the boundary of life and how we can understand it to...show more content...
The formative learning of childhood becomes transformative learning in adulthood" (Mezirow 1991, p. 3). As a result of the research and
theory–building efforts of Mezirow–fully described in Transformative Dimensions of Adult Learning (1991)–emancipator adult learning has become
more commonly known as transformative learning. If transformative learning is unique to adulthood, does it require the use of teaching approaches
that are geared specifically to adults? This is not clear. It is true that transformative learning requires that learners address problems through critical
reflection. Some strategies used to facilitate transformative learning, e.g., such as journal writing, critical incidents, and experiential methods, are used
in other types of learning as well. (See Cranton 1994 and Mezirow and Associates 1990 for a full discussion of these and other methods that can be
used to promote transformative learning.)
What is clear is that fostering transformative learning demands a different approach by the educator. Although learners must decide on their own to
engage in transformative learning, educators who wish to promote transformative learning have the responsibility to set the stage and provide
opportunities for critical reflection (Cranton 1994). When educators are operating in the domain of transformative learning, they help learners examine

Persuasive Essay On The Importance Of Education
A high–quality and accessible education is important for all children. Through education, children gain knowledge and skills that can lead to greater
opportunities and upward mobility later in life. Education has [Passive] long enabled people to go further than they ever thought possible; to explore
new ideas and to achieve new goals. Fostering knowledge and creativity enables children to forge their own paths in life. As an educator, it is my
greatest desire to guide children on their educational journeys in a meaningful way. I hope to provide the children in my classroom an accessible,
inclusive and resource rich learning environment.

Inclusion
A classroom where everyone has access, is not necessarily a classroom where everyone feels included. In order to create an inclusive environment, the
teacher should assure that all students feel included and understood. Diversity should be valued in the classroom and this starts with the attitude of the
teacher. When students come from a different backgrounds, the teacher should learn about their cultures and integrate that knowledge into the learning
environment. The teacher should also strive to foster acceptance and value in classroom diversity among students.
Resources
Students shouldn't suffer because they are unable to afford basic resources needed for school. If a parent is unable to provide the student with what they
need, I would have available extra supplies including, notebooks, binders, and pens on hand for student use. Additionally, I think it's important to
acknowledge that sometimes the resources students are lacking stretch beyond the walls of the classroom. The problem might be as simple as not
getting breakfast in the morning, or as complicated as not having a place to live. Obviously, as teachers we probably have the ability to fix the first one
(free school breakfast application help), but not the later. We can, however, be empathetic to a student's situation and treat them with understanding
instead of frustration.
Future Classroom
My goal is to make my classroom a learning environment where all students can be

Essay on What Is the Purpose of Education?
Getting educated is very important for every person. It goes without saying that each of us has to have a proper education. We learn how to read,
count and write. These are the basic abilities we acquire and use during our life. Is there any other purpose of education or it is aimed only at giving
us a possibility to communicate our ideas and satisfy basic needs? During centuries, there were different interpretations of the purpose of education.
Many scientists, pedagogues and philosophers tried to answer the question: what is the purpose of education? Taking into consideration the needs and
tendencies of a modern society, we can assume that the purpose of education is to prepare students to be self–sufficient citizens capable of solving

Our education should be aimed at educating people who love the world they lie in and who are ready to become peacemakers and healers of the
world (Orr 55). A sustainable society "consists" of citizens, workers, specialists, technicians, etc, who are ready to work in order to build and
support such society. One of the ways to provide such education is to "get outdoor". The skills and abilities develop in real world and not in
artificial situations in class. In this regard, we may refer to the Plato's "Allegory of the Cave". One should "touch" the real world problems and get
personal experience from it. Shadows in the cave are the retrospectives of the real knowledge. To acquire the knowledge, we should leave the "cave".
We can learn theory separated from practice and this will not have any result. Instead, we should understand that every individual is a part of the
natural world, thus, education should be based on ecological literacy as "health of our planet" is one of the most urgent questions of the modern social
community.
For many centuries, the principles of the classical education were in the spotlight. The good of the individual, realizing his/her own potential were the
purposes of the learning process. Cultural development is the aim of the classical education. It stands above everything, including religion. (Nietzsche,
n. p.). Referring to Plato's "Allegory of the Cave" to interpret the classical education in modern society, we can say that

Reflection On Importance Of Education
Sabaah al–khayr (Good morning) and welcome to Career Direct Limited, my name is David Solomon, the head of the Training Department of this
honorable company. As you already know that Careers Direct Limited is a pioneering education company with a unique method of teaching; we are
established to transform young lives through training in all levels of education and through career development.
Through my research, I discovered that the government of Saudi Arabia already know the importance of education in the society and are bent on
promoting it by tapping into the knowledge, skills, and ability of the young people. Also, I realized that in the quest for Saudi Arabia to implement their
educational ecosystem vision, they discovered that they need excellent teachers for the growth and development of their educational sector.
(BusinessWire, 2017)
Therefore, in my presentation today, I'm looking forward to talking to you about education featuring our unique approach that includes the use of the
brains, motivation, and emotion. (Reading College, 2017) An education through utilizing our brains, encouragement, and motivation is essential, the
reason being that it is unlikely for an educated individual in a country that understands the importance of education and working towards higher
economic expansion and sustainable growth to be unemployed.
We will all agree that education plays a vital role and it creates a positive effect on our lives just as food nourishes our body. Some of us

Essay about The Importance of a Science Education
Getting a science education in the 21st century can be very beneficial to children of all ages. Science is what makes up the world and the only way
you would be able to know that would be by getting a real education in the studies of science. There are many reasons in why getting an education in
science can be important and three of them are that it makes you smarter, it increases your awareness of diseases going around in the world, and
getting a proper education in science can inspire kids to be scientists themselves. Receiving an education in science is good for children of all ages.
First of all, educational studies in science can really make a student more wise or sharp. When studying science, a person can learn about many things

Everybody goes to school to extend their knowledge, but studying science helps kids understand the world. To emphasize, science can simply make you
more intelligent. In addition to that, learning science can also inform children of all ages about what is going on in the world. This includes diseases
such as AIDS, H1N1, and diabetes. It is important to get an education so that kids know what to be aware of in the outside world. Getting an education
in science can benefit a student more than by alerting them of diseases in the world. Educational science can also tell kids about environmental topics
such as global warming and recycling.. We all need to know about problems on the planet such as these, and what better place than school. "People
everywhere should be aware of the fact that everyday we are corrupting the environment or spreading a disease. (www.grinningplanet.com/6001

century, things get more complicated, including diseases, and finding a cure gets harder with it. Having children study science in schools can get them
aware of what is happening. Lastly, studying science during a person's childhood years can inspire them to become real scientists themselves so they
can deal with issues that are effecting the world. Becoming a scientist can help the

The Importance of Education Essay
The Importance of Education
Education has always been a crucial part of society for the past centuries. Some believe that our education is a privilege. Some believe that our
education is a right. Some believe that our education is an obligation. The only obligation we might have towards education is to treat it as a privilege as
well as a right, but certainly not an obligation to have an education. Education has been the basis for the success we see in our parents, our teachers,
and more importantly, ourselves.
Over time, people have considered and concluded that education is a privilege. Education is a privilege because not many people can afford an
education, and we should be grateful that we have this opportunity that...show more content...
This is true because you cannot be denied an education based on your nationality, skin color, hair color, or any physical features, even being
handicapped. It is the right of the individual to seek an education, as long as the individual is fully capable financially and mentally. Let say ?Melissa,?
a fictional fourteen–year–old African–American girl, wants to attend Hinsdale Central. A fairly goodschool, if I do say so myself, for a student to attend
preceding college, as I have. Let?s say Hinsdale Central refuses to let Melissa attend their school for various reasons, such as her skin color. It?s
Melissa?s constitutional right to contest this decision by the fact that the school denied her admittance based on her skin color, which is discrimination.
However, the school does not have to admit Melissa, even though she is completely qualified. The individual does not have the right to an education,
but rather has the right to seek and education. The individual can only have a right to an education if the school offering the education refuses them
based on physical features.
What about obligations, is an education one of them? Education can be an obligation in a personal way, but education is certainly not an obligation to
receive in the general aspect. If a person feels obligated about their education, they are most likely not going to be motivated. Motivation comes from
the parents, the teachers, and the

The Importance Of Equity In Education
Over the past few centuries, the education system has had several changes, some positive, some negative, and some controversial. But ultimately the
goal is to format and build the educational school system, we need to support our students so they can be successful in their life's. "During the past 30
years, local school districts have gradually yielded policy–making discretion to state legislatures and bureaucracies. States' efforts to achieve equity and
improve student and teacher performance have considerably diminished local controls over funding, standards, and curricular content"
(Hadderman,1988). Though I think that local control of schools does deal side by side with the schools, I believe that the state can offer more support
during the policies discussion and along with input into the budgeting of each state, for education. Equity in the classroom to me means that all children
and teachers should have equal opportunity to express and develop thought into the classroom discussions. Especially when young children are starting
to develop their thought process, key point to encourage their thoughts. We as the educators need to find ways to support the children's language and
knowledge of their surroundings. In many situations, the schools fail to be successful due to the need of money, to be able purchase materials needed
to teach and assist the students. School district budgets should include bring more teachers into the school to lower the classroom size. Along with
assisting the teachers that have students who learn at different levels. I wonder that if special education classes have enough materials. For example, in
my son's high school, I have seen that they need more technology. Yet it turns out that technology has their own budget, as well as staffing contains
their own budget. The hard work and good intentions of educators who often lacked professional support and sometimes worked in substandard
conditions (Blankstein, Noguera, & Kelly, 2016, p. 186). Sadly, many schools don't fix the building or classroom that need improvements, so that the
students can have safe and well lighted and fully stored with the needed materials. As a teacher can you really work if you don't have enough

social class. All my sense is assaulted when I see what the poor children are treated in bad conditions such as their school have dreadful amounts of

Impact of Education Essay
Impact of Education Education is one of the most essential necessities of a personal life because without education, we would not have a brighter
future. In two essays "Learning to Read and Write" and "A Homemade Education", Malcolm and Douglass describe what they have gone through in
order to become more successful in their pursuits in life. While Malcolm X lived part of his life in prison, he spent his time writing numerous
definitions from a dictionary amongst the walls and tables. The elements of the dictionary motivated him to not only become a free man, but a well
educated one at that. Douglass, who also taught himself, began his life in slavery. But after a series of attempts, he escapes from slavery and pursues

Another impact of achieving an education is that it brings knowledge to one's life. Knowledge is a powerful benefit for people in their
understandings. Both Douglass and Malcolm also recognized the power of knowledge that impacted them into following education. With great
effort, Malcolm was fascinated with the knowledge he gained "I could for the first time pick up a book and read and now begin to understand what
the book was saying"(81). He made a progress in reading to understand the contents of a book even if it is the first time he picked it up. Knowledge
also assisted Douglass in finding the injustice of slavery and motivating him to gain his freedom. In the essay "Learning to Read and Write", he states
that "the more I read, the more I was lead to abhor and detest my enslavers. I could regard them in no other light than a band of successful robbers,
who had left their home, and gone to Africa, and stolen us from our homes and in a stargerland reduced us to slavery."(64). He became cognizant of
what fate was in hold for the enslavers. That idea impacted him to gain more knowledge and escape slavery to share his knowledge and what must
be done. Today, people who want to gain knowledge have to go to school for their education. People that attend are taught the essential lessons that
they need in order to move forward in life. Out of everyone in my family, I am the only one given the chance to go to college.

Any professional at the pinnacle of success, where he/she is directly responsible in creating business opportunities, an absence of a degree/diploma in

Fun and Adventure
People view formal education in a negative light. This is schooling where people only look at voluminous books, boring teachers and hard exams.
Education is actually fun and adventurous. You learn about new things, meet new people and pursue new interests. It gives you a chance to interact
with people other than your neighbors and family members. It also provides an escape for those who suffer from stressful situations at home. You
should adopt a positive attitude towards education. This attitude will help you see the fun in education. Adopt it today.
Build a Network
You need friends who care about you. Finding good friends is not easy. It takes time, patience and perseverance. Experience is usually the best way of
finding good friends. Education allows you to gain this experience by interacting with people within formal and informal settings. You know people
better through these experiences. This helps you to choose a close group of good friends. This group will then become your network within society's
entangled web of networks. You can call upon this network in times of trouble. You will find it hard to build a network of friends and colleagues
without education. This means that you should pursue education as much as you can.

A Successful Educator Essay
The primary goal of an educator is to provide a student with the tools needed to accomplish lifelong goals as an adult. Specifically, each teacher is
charged the responsibility to equip a student with the knowledge and skills that will contribute to his/her cumulative educational goals. All too often,
students do not come to school with an unconditional love of learning. The educators therefore, have the ominous task of educating, motivating and
coaching the often disinterested young person. Often, the best teachers are those that find ways to connect with their students. They therefore, find
ways to encourage connections to the students short and long term goals. Many times, students do not find it easy to identify goals. Younger...show

Students who are well taken care of and live in safe happy environments are therefore, better equipped to succeed in a learning environment. Educators
must be observant of the student's well being and willing to facilitate intervention if a student is in distress. Teachers often have to make difficult
decisions to protect their students. By law if an educator suspects child abuse or neglect, it must be reported to the proper authorities. There may be
times when a teacher has to go against the student's wishes to protect him/her but, the educator must consequently adhere to "what is in the best
interest of the child." A successful teacher of flourishing students is involved in the school community. Many times their day is lengthened as they
choose to become integrated into other aspects of their students' lives. Teachers see other sides of students when they are willing to participate in
extracurricular activities. Interaction with their students in non–learning environments thus, gives the educator additional tools to help in the
educational process. Interactions such as this allow teachers to take their students interests and integrate them into the classroom learning environment.
Learning should not be limited to the traditional classroom. Moreover, there are many "teachable moments" that can be utilized outside the classroom.

There are so many websites on the internet that teachers are taking advantage of for grading students assignments. For example, their is a website
called google classroom in which teachers assign their assignments on it and the students are able to post their work by a deadline chosen by the

possibility that the teacher will lose an assignment which can reduce their stress on trying to keep everything organized. Google classroom makes it
efficient for the teachers to grade assignments for their students without having to worry about the time they will be spending by doing so. They are
able to see the students assignments immediately after they post it so they can start on grading earlier than having to wait till the end of the day to
gather all their papers to take home to grade. They can even grade papers while the students who haven't finished the assignment are still finishing it

The Importance Of Educational Psychology
Educational Psychology fosters an understanding for student development and helps teachers be effective, design lessons and make a difference for
their students. First we must define what education psychology is, and how it applies student development and to the education community. The
textbook, "Educational Psychology" written by Anita Woolfolk, (2012), defines educationalpsychology as, "A distinct discipline with its own theories,
research methods, problems, and techniques. Educational psychologists do research on learning and teaching and, at the same time, work to improve
educational practice." (p. 12). Essentially, educational psychology is the study and research behind creative and effective learning strategies and the
principles for development and learning. It enables teachers to reach and engage their students at the highest level of learning with effective learning
strategies. Learning educational psychology through the study of cognitive development and the influences on children and adolescents as they grow,
the implication of moral and identity development, as well as obligations teachers have professionally to create safe learning environments that promote
high expectations and inclusion of all learners, helps teachers to nurture and understand their students. For example, learning about student diversity

The Importance Of Civic Education

  • 1. The Importance Of Civic Education In an era of political depression and high voter suppression, civic education is critical for the advancement of the United States. A civil society is rooted in civic education. Stated directly in the declaration of independence is the three unalienable rights the government cannot strip you of: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In a civil society, the utmost concern of the government is happiness and common good of the public. The government can only do so much for it's people; therefore, it is the responsibility of each and every citizen to become educated and serve a role in advancing our society. Civic education is the driving force in informing the public of common standards and values that they should abide by when considering the well–being of our nation. A strong civic education program would contain the fundamental ways the governmental and personal spheres interact, basic morals that promote the common good, and promote a democratic civil society. This program should be taught over an extended period of time as the individual progresses through grade school. Civic education is informing the public of the relationship between the governmental sphere and the personal sphere. In chapter one of DeLue and Dale's Political Thinking, Political Theory, and Civil Society they state "an important aspect of civil society is that, as a separate sphere, civil society acts as a buffer against the power of the central government," (DeLue and Dale 2). • 2. The Importance of Teaching Education Running head: The Importance of Teaching Education The Importance of Teaching Education Foundations of Theory and Practice in Master's Studies Abstract The Importance of Teaching Education should be a part of everyone's life. A good education offers something for everyone, whether it is on the simple level or a more complex one. Education should provide an opportunity for students to develop a strong sense of creativity, a high self esteem, and a lifelong respect for learning Teachers are the most critical group among the society of America today. They are not only the most influential people to the knowledge of students but also the individuals who make it possible to expand the boundary of life and how we can understand it to...show more content... The formative learning of childhood becomes transformative learning in adulthood" (Mezirow 1991, p. 3). As a result of the research and theory–building efforts of Mezirow–fully described in Transformative Dimensions of Adult Learning (1991)–emancipator adult learning has become more commonly known as transformative learning. If transformative learning is unique to adulthood, does it require the use of teaching approaches that are geared specifically to adults? This is not clear. It is true that transformative learning requires that learners address problems through critical reflection. Some strategies used to facilitate transformative learning, e.g., such as journal writing, critical incidents, and experiential methods, are used in other types of learning as well. (See Cranton 1994 and Mezirow and Associates 1990 for a full discussion of these and other methods that can be used to promote transformative learning.) What is clear is that fostering transformative learning demands a different approach by the educator. Although learners must decide on their own to engage in transformative learning, educators who wish to promote transformative learning have the responsibility to set the stage and provide opportunities for critical reflection (Cranton 1994). When educators are operating in the domain of transformative learning, they help learners examine their Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Persuasive Essay On The Importance Of Education A high–quality and accessible education is important for all children. Through education, children gain knowledge and skills that can lead to greater opportunities and upward mobility later in life. Education has [Passive] long enabled people to go further than they ever thought possible; to explore new ideas and to achieve new goals. Fostering knowledge and creativity enables children to forge their own paths in life. As an educator, it is my greatest desire to guide children on their educational journeys in a meaningful way. I hope to provide the children in my classroom an accessible, inclusive and resource rich learning environment. Access Access to a reliable, equitable and high–quality education can has a lasting positive effect on...show more content... Inclusion A classroom where everyone has access, is not necessarily a classroom where everyone feels included. In order to create an inclusive environment, the teacher should assure that all students feel included and understood. Diversity should be valued in the classroom and this starts with the attitude of the teacher. When students come from a different backgrounds, the teacher should learn about their cultures and integrate that knowledge into the learning environment. The teacher should also strive to foster acceptance and value in classroom diversity among students. Resources Students shouldn't suffer because they are unable to afford basic resources needed for school. If a parent is unable to provide the student with what they need, I would have available extra supplies including, notebooks, binders, and pens on hand for student use. Additionally, I think it's important to acknowledge that sometimes the resources students are lacking stretch beyond the walls of the classroom. The problem might be as simple as not getting breakfast in the morning, or as complicated as not having a place to live. Obviously, as teachers we probably have the ability to fix the first one (free school breakfast application help), but not the later. We can, however, be empathetic to a student's situation and treat them with understanding instead of frustration. • 5. Essay on What Is the Purpose of Education? Getting educated is very important for every person. It goes without saying that each of us has to have a proper education. We learn how to read, count and write. These are the basic abilities we acquire and use during our life. Is there any other purpose of education or it is aimed only at giving us a possibility to communicate our ideas and satisfy basic needs? During centuries, there were different interpretations of the purpose of education. Many scientists, pedagogues and philosophers tried to answer the question: what is the purpose of education? Taking into consideration the needs and tendencies of a modern society, we can assume that the purpose of education is to prepare students to be self–sufficient citizens capable of solving ...show more content... Our education should be aimed at educating people who love the world they lie in and who are ready to become peacemakers and healers of the world (Orr 55). A sustainable society "consists" of citizens, workers, specialists, technicians, etc, who are ready to work in order to build and support such society. One of the ways to provide such education is to "get outdoor". The skills and abilities develop in real world and not in artificial situations in class. In this regard, we may refer to the Plato's "Allegory of the Cave". One should "touch" the real world problems and get personal experience from it. Shadows in the cave are the retrospectives of the real knowledge. To acquire the knowledge, we should leave the "cave". We can learn theory separated from practice and this will not have any result. Instead, we should understand that every individual is a part of the natural world, thus, education should be based on ecological literacy as "health of our planet" is one of the most urgent questions of the modern social community. For many centuries, the principles of the classical education were in the spotlight. The good of the individual, realizing his/her own potential were the purposes of the learning process. Cultural development is the aim of the classical education. It stands above everything, including religion. (Nietzsche, n. p.). Referring to Plato's "Allegory of the Cave" to interpret the classical education in modern society, we can say that Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Reflection On Importance Of Education Sabaah al–khayr (Good morning) and welcome to Career Direct Limited, my name is David Solomon, the head of the Training Department of this honorable company. As you already know that Careers Direct Limited is a pioneering education company with a unique method of teaching; we are established to transform young lives through training in all levels of education and through career development. Through my research, I discovered that the government of Saudi Arabia already know the importance of education in the society and are bent on promoting it by tapping into the knowledge, skills, and ability of the young people. Also, I realized that in the quest for Saudi Arabia to implement their educational ecosystem vision, they discovered that they need excellent teachers for the growth and development of their educational sector. (BusinessWire, 2017) Therefore, in my presentation today, I'm looking forward to talking to you about education featuring our unique approach that includes the use of the brains, motivation, and emotion. (Reading College, 2017) An education through utilizing our brains, encouragement, and motivation is essential, the reason being that it is unlikely for an educated individual in a country that understands the importance of education and working towards higher economic expansion and sustainable growth to be unemployed. We will all agree that education plays a vital role and it creates a positive effect on our lives just as food nourishes our body. Some of us Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Essay about The Importance of a Science Education Getting a science education in the 21st century can be very beneficial to children of all ages. Science is what makes up the world and the only way you would be able to know that would be by getting a real education in the studies of science. There are many reasons in why getting an education in science can be important and three of them are that it makes you smarter, it increases your awareness of diseases going around in the world, and getting a proper education in science can inspire kids to be scientists themselves. Receiving an education in science is good for children of all ages. First of all, educational studies in science can really make a student more wise or sharp. When studying science, a person can learn about many things ...show more content... Everybody goes to school to extend their knowledge, but studying science helps kids understand the world. To emphasize, science can simply make you more intelligent. In addition to that, learning science can also inform children of all ages about what is going on in the world. This includes diseases such as AIDS, H1N1, and diabetes. It is important to get an education so that kids know what to be aware of in the outside world. Getting an education in science can benefit a student more than by alerting them of diseases in the world. Educational science can also tell kids about environmental topics such as global warming and recycling.. We all need to know about problems on the planet such as these, and what better place than school. "People everywhere should be aware of the fact that everyday we are corrupting the environment or spreading a disease. (www.grinningplanet.com/6001 /environmental–quotes.htm, John Mckonnel)" It is for this reason that children need to have a good science education. Knowing we are in the 21st century, things get more complicated, including diseases, and finding a cure gets harder with it. Having children study science in schools can get them aware of what is happening. Lastly, studying science during a person's childhood years can inspire them to become real scientists themselves so they can deal with issues that are effecting the world. • 8. The Importance of Education Essay The Importance of Education Education has always been a crucial part of society for the past centuries. Some believe that our education is a privilege. Some believe that our education is a right. Some believe that our education is an obligation. The only obligation we might have towards education is to treat it as a privilege as well as a right, but certainly not an obligation to have an education. Education has been the basis for the success we see in our parents, our teachers, and more importantly, ourselves. Over time, people have considered and concluded that education is a privilege. Education is a privilege because not many people can afford an education, and we should be grateful that we have this opportunity that...show more content... This is true because you cannot be denied an education based on your nationality, skin color, hair color, or any physical features, even being handicapped. It is the right of the individual to seek an education, as long as the individual is fully capable financially and mentally. Let say ?Melissa,? a fictional fourteen–year–old African–American girl, wants to attend Hinsdale Central. A fairly goodschool, if I do say so myself, for a student to attend preceding college, as I have. Let?s say Hinsdale Central refuses to let Melissa attend their school for various reasons, such as her skin color. It?s Melissa?s constitutional right to contest this decision by the fact that the school denied her admittance based on her skin color, which is discrimination. However, the school does not have to admit Melissa, even though she is completely qualified. The individual does not have the right to an education, but rather has the right to seek and education. The individual can only have a right to an education if the school offering the education refuses them based on physical features. What about obligations, is an education one of them? Education can be an obligation in a personal way, but education is certainly not an obligation to receive in the general aspect. If a person feels obligated about their education, they are most likely not going to be motivated. Motivation comes from the parents, the teachers, and the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. The Importance Of Equity In Education Over the past few centuries, the education system has had several changes, some positive, some negative, and some controversial. But ultimately the goal is to format and build the educational school system, we need to support our students so they can be successful in their life's. "During the past 30 years, local school districts have gradually yielded policy–making discretion to state legislatures and bureaucracies. States' efforts to achieve equity and improve student and teacher performance have considerably diminished local controls over funding, standards, and curricular content" (Hadderman,1988). Though I think that local control of schools does deal side by side with the schools, I believe that the state can offer more support during the policies discussion and along with input into the budgeting of each state, for education. Equity in the classroom to me means that all children and teachers should have equal opportunity to express and develop thought into the classroom discussions. Especially when young children are starting to develop their thought process, key point to encourage their thoughts. We as the educators need to find ways to support the children's language and knowledge of their surroundings. In many situations, the schools fail to be successful due to the need of money, to be able purchase materials needed to teach and assist the students. School district budgets should include bring more teachers into the school to lower the classroom size. Along with assisting the teachers that have students who learn at different levels. I wonder that if special education classes have enough materials. For example, in my son's high school, I have seen that they need more technology. Yet it turns out that technology has their own budget, as well as staffing contains their own budget. The hard work and good intentions of educators who often lacked professional support and sometimes worked in substandard conditions (Blankstein, Noguera, & Kelly, 2016, p. 186). Sadly, many schools don't fix the building or classroom that need improvements, so that the students can have safe and well lighted and fully stored with the needed materials. As a teacher can you really work if you don't have enough Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Education is the best way to helps us achieve a social standing as a real citizen and is entitled benefits of equal rights in our life. Therefore, equality of education, learning conditions in environmental institutions and the destruction of the class barrier are important tools in the process to help students who have no chance to study in the educational systems or students who studying in inequality environment. Moving towards an America that not only almost of citizens participate in the political and contribute to making society better, but also has an equal system of education for everyone. Through video about savage inequalities, I realized that at this time, there have big of different in the conditions of school between many poor children and many children rich. Although nowadays, we are provided the equal opportunity for everyone, at this time, the poor children live in an education is more inferior than the children who grow up in rich families. I think that the huge differences in the public school system are based on racism and social class. All my sense is assaulted when I see what the poor children are treated in bad conditions such as their school have dreadful amounts of sewage in their backyards, the facilities aren't well–equipped or worn–out and bad health care. Well, it looks abandoned in many years. In contradistinction to poor children, the children who grow up in families with the better economic situation have access to the most advanced equipment, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Impact of Education Essay Impact of Education Education is one of the most essential necessities of a personal life because without education, we would not have a brighter future. In two essays "Learning to Read and Write" and "A Homemade Education", Malcolm and Douglass describe what they have gone through in order to become more successful in their pursuits in life. While Malcolm X lived part of his life in prison, he spent his time writing numerous definitions from a dictionary amongst the walls and tables. The elements of the dictionary motivated him to not only become a free man, but a well educated one at that. Douglass, who also taught himself, began his life in slavery. But after a series of attempts, he escapes from slavery and pursues into his...show more content... Another impact of achieving an education is that it brings knowledge to one's life. Knowledge is a powerful benefit for people in their understandings. Both Douglass and Malcolm also recognized the power of knowledge that impacted them into following education. With great effort, Malcolm was fascinated with the knowledge he gained "I could for the first time pick up a book and read and now begin to understand what the book was saying"(81). He made a progress in reading to understand the contents of a book even if it is the first time he picked it up. Knowledge also assisted Douglass in finding the injustice of slavery and motivating him to gain his freedom. In the essay "Learning to Read and Write", he states that "the more I read, the more I was lead to abhor and detest my enslavers. I could regard them in no other light than a band of successful robbers, who had left their home, and gone to Africa, and stolen us from our homes and in a stargerland reduced us to slavery."(64). He became cognizant of what fate was in hold for the enslavers. That idea impacted him to gain more knowledge and escape slavery to share his knowledge and what must be done. Today, people who want to gain knowledge have to go to school for their education. People that attend are taught the essential lessons that they need in order to move forward in life. Out of everyone in my family, I am the only one given the chance to go to college. Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Learning includes the moral values and the improvement of character and the methods to increase the strength of mind. Education enables people to cause and to contribute to societal development. Education has the responsibility for transferring human being into human resources (Gopalan, 2001). Development of human resources is the main function of education. Specifically, each teacher is charged the responsibility to equip a student with the knowledge and skills that will contribute to his/her cumulative educational goals. All too often, students do not come to school with an unconditional love of learning. The educators therefore, have the ominous task of educating, motivating and coaching the often disinterested young person. Students who are well taken care of and live in safe happy environments are therefore, better equipped to succeed in a learning environment. Educators must be observant of the student's well being and willing to facilitate intervention if a student is in distress. Teachers often have to make difficult decisions to protect their students. By law if an educator suspects child abuse or neglect, it must be reported to the proper authorities. There may be times when a teacher has to go against the student's wishes to protect him/her but, the educator must consequently adhere to "what is in the best interest of the child." All throughout my schooling, I have also been lucky enough to have had tremendous and inspirational teachers who have shown me the power in being on the other end of the learning by being an educator. That power that I was shown, by my teachers who were engaged, had infectiously positive attitudes and simply loved what they did, is one of the main reasons that I want to become and educator, so that I may too spread that same love and thirst for knowledge. Another, more personal reason that I want to become an educator is due to my grandparents. Growing up, I have seen both ends of what an education can provide, and what not having one can do to your whole life. One on side, I have grandparents who themselves were teachers and were always willing to share their stories, both good and bad, their lessons and have provided me with knowledge and words of wisdom that only someone who has been in the classroom can give. One the other side, I have grandparents who have shown me what a lack of opportunities and an education can do to your life. As they both migrated to the United States as young teenagers, they did not receive the chance to properly finish their education, which causes them to lack basic skills such as reading and writing fluently. For me, I believe education is something that everyone should Get more content on HelpWriting.net
