Players serving a penalty
• If a player has been penalized with a time penalty:
• Time starts when the player sits down on one of the seats or
kneels in the penalty box, or when the whistle blows to
restart play, whichever is the later
• A player needs te be on the seat or kneelding in the penalty
box for the entire time penalty
• A substitute for the penalized player may not enter the
substitution area until the whole time penalty is served
• Penalty time will only run when normal playing time is
running

3. Face Off
Players serving a penalty
• If a player has been penalized with a time penalty for a technical
foul:
• A goal wipes out any and all technical peantlies on the team
scored against (personals are never wiped)
• If a player is in the penalty box when a period ends:
• Loose ball: next period starts with a face off
• Possession: whoever had possession or would have gotten
possession at the end of the period retains possession
• Exception: when both teams have the equal amount of
players in the penalty box, and thus are at even strength
there will be a face off to start the next period
