It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I recommend Kenneth Neal Sedgwick for
employment.
I have had the privilege of supervising Neal in his Treasure Island YMCA Facility Coordinator
position at the Embarcadero YMCA of San Francisco for three years. Neal was instrumental in
the conception, creation and implementation of our current program offerings and is ultimately
responsible for the success of our Treasure Island YMCA facility.
Due to funding cuts, our YMCA has been forced to make some tough decisions. We could no
longer afford to employ two coordinators at our Treasure Island facility. Instead of competing
with a close colleague for the one position available, he stepped aside to allow his co-worker to
grow professionally. This act of kindness speaks volumes to his integrity and maturity.
In all aspects of his work, Neal intentionally incorporates fun, originality and passion. He made
the sometimes daunting job of facility management, community organizing, staff supervision and
event planning seem effortless and seamless. He is a patient, caring, motivated and highly driven
person.
It was not uncommon to get feedback from both collaborators and program participants about
their overall satisfaction with Neal’s work.
