2. Violin
I have been playing the violin since I was 12. I don’t
compete with it but use it as a creative outlet.
3. Baking
I love to bake and experiment with different
presentations.
4. Singing
I started singing when I was 12, mainly performing in choirs
but also in productions. Productions are something that I
wish to be a part of again when time permits it.
5. Student
I am a second year student which requires me to
spend many hours at my desk.
6. Driving
I love to drive, I find it very relaxing and when
travelling on my own it gives me a chance to reflect
and work through problems.
7. Sleeping
I highly value sleeping. I am the sort of person who needs a lot of sleep to be
able to function during the day. I regard sleeping as a self care and leisure
occupation.
(Blue Rooms White Houses,2013).
8. Sewing
During my intermediate years, I learnt how to hand craft teddy bears. I
have started quilting as my learnt occupation and intend on continuing
my involvement in this occupation in the future as I have rediscovered
the enjoyment in hand sewing .
9. Reading
Every since I was a child I have enjoyed reading. After commencing study I found that I was
not reading as much as I was before. This is partly due to time constraints and partly due to
not having access to the amount of books I did as a child. I have found the joy of reading e-
books on my tablet and now my sure I set aside time to read as it helps me to relax and
unwind.
10. Netball
I played netball for 10 years but stopped once I left high school. I have recently
started helping a friend train for her games and am enjoying being active
again.
(Blackpool Leisure Centre, 2014).
11. Walking
I walk as a form of exercise. I don’t walk on a regular
basis but it is an activity that I picked up from my
family.
