Dear Fogsians,
Wishing you all a very Happy New year.
What an year this has been, I am feeling blessed with all the love, affection and unconditional
support which I got from each and every one of you my dear friends. I have tried my level best to
do whatever best could be done for the organisation ,members and our beneficiaries.
FOGSI is a phenomenal organisation, which gives each one of us a unique platform and
opportunity to do our bit towards each other and the women of our country. This year most of
the programmes were designed to keep in mind that we need to engage with our clients more
and all management should be outcome based and also destressing us the care providers. I am
very happy that the concept of ADBHUT Matrutva is well received and will definitely bring us
closer to our pregnant mothers as and apart from inculcating lifestyle and holistic approach
towards pregnancy and delivery, as pregnancy and motherhood are the most beautiful and
significantly life-altering events in a woman's life and as her companions through the pregnancy
the onus lies on us to guide her fully and steer her through this not only safely, but also see that
the newer generation is healthy, and has lesser chances of any growth, development and
neurocognitive deficits and have reduced risk of NCDs.
We are a DRIP (Data Rich,Information Poor) country and unless and until we all get into the habit
of documentation and audits and analysis progress in many areas and publications and
epidemiological analysis will not be in place which is the initial necessary prerequisite for any
progress. Health India,Digital FOGSI is one such initiative which comes to you for managing your
practice and clinics with electronic health records, engaging patients and along with Adbhut
Matrutva App.
Dear Friends for this whole year we have emphasised that unless and until we are healthy, we
cannot look anyone else. So please take care of yourself and your near and dear ones.
I don't claim to be someone that knows every verse in the Bible. I wish I did. I truly do. It just

I am pleased to learn that, FOGSI, has launched a Unique Project "Adbhut Matrutva" in
AI COG on January 19th, 2018 in Bubneshwar, Odisha.
"ADBHUT MATRUTVA" program is a unique initiative which focuses on providing holistic
antenatal care which will not only reduce maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality but will
also prevent several intergenerational Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes,
arterial hypertension and cardiovascular disease. It addresses foetal origin of adult diseases,
thus preventing many NCDs.
While providing quality healthcare to all is top priority of the Government, special focus is on
healthcare of the mother and child. The National Health Mission, through its targeted schemes,
has made substantial progress in achieving Millennium Development Goats such as reduction in
Maternal Mortality Ratio and Under Five Mortality Rate. Several innovative schemes such as the
Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram, Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA),
LaQshya- Labor Room Quality Improvement Initiative, MAA programme, Home Based Newborn
and Young Child Care, Poshan Abhiyan, Anemia Mukt Bharat, introduction of new vaccines etc
have been launched by the Ministry to provide quality health care to pregnant women and
children.
Projects such as PMSMA and Adbhut Matrutva, I believe, playa vital role in highlighting the
need for maintaining a physically, mentally and spiritually healthy self during all phases of
pregnancy. The role of gynaecologist during the crucial phases of motherhood cannot be
underscored enough.
It is heart-warming to know that that more than 200 Adbhut Matrutva sessions were
conducted across India for the enhancement of a quality care-giving to expectant mothers. I am
also delighted to know that many programmes were conducted on 9th of every month as part
or 'IPledgefor9'- Pradhan Mantri Surkshit Matrutva Abhiyan.
I convey my best wishes to the President and organisers for the fruitful Projct.

It is a matter of immense pleasure that the FOGSI has launched a unique project "Adbhut
Matrutva" under the dynamic leadership of President Dr. jaideep Malhotra.
The Government of India has a comprehensive reproductive, maternal, new born, child and
adolescent health care approach. Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram, LaQshya and Pradhan
Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan are key programmes implemented across the country for
quality healthcare services to pregnant women and new-borns.
Although the Government is leaving no stone unturned to provide quality health care but it
would achieve momentum when various organizations join these efforts. In this context, the
FOGSI is playing a significant role.
I once again urge all FOGSI members to volunteer at nearby government hospitals on the 9th
of every month under the Pradhan Mantri Surkshit Matrutva Abhiyan. I also urge all members to
join hands with the LaQshya - Labor Room Quality Improvement Initiative to ensure quality
intrapartum and immediate partum care to pregnant women and new¬borns.
I am sure that together we can create a better future for the mothers and children of our
country. I extend my heartiest congratulations to FOGSI for their efforts in this direction and offer
my best wishes for success of their projects.

Om Shanti and please accept lots of greetings of peace and happiness from the Almighty
God.
It gives me immense pleasure to pen down a few lines about the FOGSI’s special project
“Adbhut Matrutva- a FOGSI initiative” which we are conducting for the expectant mothers
across India, under the able guidance of our FOGSI President Dr Jaideep Malhotra. Our Vision
of Adbhut Matrutva is to reduce the incidence of maternal problems, maternal morbidity &
mortality. Another objective is to reduce the incidence of neonatal problems, neonatal
morbidity & mortality and to reduce the incidence of children problems, children morbidity &
mortality. This project helps the Expectant Mother to create a Virtuous Child. Practicing yoga and
meditation is one of the important components of the “Adbhut Matrutva” project; it helps in
decreasing the Caesarean section rate and in increasing the normal delivery rate. Through this
noble project, our Endeavour is also to promote and creates the awareness about saving the girl
child. The mission of this project is “The children of today are the leaders of tomorrow and
therefore the focus should be to lay a strong foundation when the baby is in the womb, so as to
build healthy happy future generations”.
“ADBHUT MATRUTVA” program is a unique FOGSI initiative which focuses on providing holistic

The components of ADBHUT MATRUTVA project are periconception care, good quality
antenatal care, healthy diet, exercise and stress managing techniques.
As you must be aware that the thoughts, feelings, emotions and the mental state of the
expectant mother, affect the health and behavior of the growing foetus and even later as an
adult.
The present antenatal care focuses mainly on physical health; the other dimensions are
mostly neglected. “ADBHUT MATRUTVA” gives equal importance to mental, social and spiritual
health of pregnant mothers to make them healthy and thus empowering the future generation.

adapt positive thinking manage stress and improve mental, social and physical health. Breast
feeding, postpartum care and contraceptive information during postpartum period, which
promotes health of mother and baby, are also included in ADBHUT MATRUTVA”.
We are working on a divine cause, visualizing a world of purity, peace and prosperity.
“Adbhut Matrutva- a FOGSI initiative” is a systematic methodical process of transmitting desired
values/virtues into the foetus through mother or by any individual into his own self, by a unique
scientific and spiritual way. It is a complete pregnancy care guideline to get a divine child. It is in
this decisive period of “nine months”, when maximum efforts are to be taken for the betterment
of the offspring. Today, it is scientifically proven that the unborn baby can not only listen and
feel, but it also responds in its own way. 60% of brain development occurs in intrauterine
period. Science has proved that baby in the womb can learn within the womb itself. Mothers
bonding, with the child, start right from the time of conception; the baby listens to the mother
and perceives her feelings, while developing in the womb. That is why it is important to transfer
positive thoughts, positive energies and the emotions to the baby and to the pregnant women.
The mother can shape up baby’s first impression by listening to good music, reading material
that stimulates positive thinking, meditating, doing yoga and much more.
Below are the ways to implement “Adbhut Matrutva a FOGSI initiative” program:
When an expectant mother approaches the doctor, along with medical care, he/she can
inform her about the “Adbhut Matrutva a FOGSI initiative” program which she can enroll for free.
The expectant mother is enrolled for the orientation session, which takes places on the first
Sunday of every month or 9th of every month at the hospital/clinic.
1st Sunday/9th of every month - Orientation Session
In the orientation session the doctor along with the “Adbhut Matrutva a FOGSI initiative”
team, comprising of medical doctors and spiritual teachers welcome the participants for the
orientation session. In this session the doctor informs the participants the benefits of the entire
“Adbhut Matrutva a FOGSI initiative” program.
2nd session - Stress, Anger Management and Positive Thinking, Value Empowerment, Yoga &
Rajyoga Meditation Session
Managing stress is learnt skill and requires an individual to have right knowledge of the self to
be able to manage the self better. The 2nd session focuses on enhancing participants self
awareness and also equip them with right techniques for managing the self in any situation. The
session makes participants aware of simple and easy to use techniques of overcoming anger,
developing positive attitude and also designing a virtuous baby.
This session helps participants to experience and live values like peace, love, happiness. It
also enables them to develop these values as a natural nature which then gets transferred to the
baby in the womb.
The mother is given proper training on Physical Yoga, Antenatal exercises and breathing
exercises from a trained Yoga Expert.
Rajyoga Meditation Session (Taught By Brahma Kumaris) this is the most important session
where in the spiritual teacher/guide teaches the participant the technique of Rajyoga
Meditation.

Group spreads holistic health awareness among health care professionals and pregnant
women through DVD / CD (Mother Baby Garbhsanskar), Books, Booklets, Posters and
workshops, seminars and conferences. Hence every obstetrician, by providing holistic health
care to expectant mother and by spending few extra minutes with them through “Adbhut
Matrutva” project can reduce many complications during pregnancy
To sum-up, I would like to share that each parent in this world has a dream for their child and
they have the same prayer to the Almighty – Their children should be healthy, wealthy, successful
and bestowed with all divine virtues.
The Almighty, our spiritual parent, also foresees recreation of a beautiful world which would
be full of peace, love, purity and happiness.
Thus, I am very happy to share that this Adbhut Matrutva project is a step-forward towards
this beautiful cosmic blueprint.
From all my heart, I would like to acknowledge each and everyone who worked relentlessly
in making this project a great success.
This project is build with new belief of creating a new beautiful world for all of us and we
have to tread quite a distance in creating this new reality.
I am sure all my fellow Gynaecologists friends would walk together in this Endeavour of
creating a new world of peace, compassion and divinity.

project's ambit will experience a transformation in themselves which will radiate as beautiful
sanskars to their child. Your tireless efforts and pure intention will create miracles in families.
Congratulations, Dr. Jaideep Malhotra for your insightful leadership and guidance to roll out
Adbhut Matrutva in 2018. This is just the beginning. You have sown the seeds of which the future
generations will enjoy the fruit. As every member of the FOGSI family implements this project,

the project to the world.
For 2019 along with all the wonderful projects you take to heal others, please take up the one
main project "Self Care". Please dedicate atleast 30 mins daily to nourish your mind with spiritual
