Contact: Nancy Brumfield Publicist CHICK-FIL-A IS EMBRACING THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY A new CEO and a new view of LGBTQ individuals Atlanta, GA. – December 6, 2021 – Chick-Fil-A announced today, a partnership with the Human Rights Campaign Foundation to ensure inclusivity of the LGBTQ community within all of their 2,744 restaurants. Chick-fil-A is committed to making everyone feel welcome in their restaurants. They are implementing a required training program in January 2022. The training will include diversity training, LGBTQ literature available for distribution, and written guidelines to the inclusive language required in all restaurants. Starting in January 2022, new CEO Andrew Truett Cathy, will implement a required diversity training in all 2,774 Chick-fil-A restaurants in the US and Canada. The training will educate employees on issues faced LGBTQ community and will include training on how to make LGBTQ individuals feel welcomed by teaching employees the inclusive language required. “We love all people and want our restaurants to be a place where everyone feels valued, regardless of political views, religious views, sexual orientation, or gender identity,” said Andrew T. Cathy, the new CEO of Chick-fil-A. Chick-fil-A will be making literature available for employees and the public. The information in the literature explains issues LGBTQ individuals face, inclusive language, and information about the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
