aving always been attracted
to hair, and growing up with
lots of sisters Antonio Corral
Calero, had a lot of practice
styling and playing with different
looks. He loved being surrounded by
women and beauty, so the transition
to the hair industry was only natural
and effortless for him. Here he is, 20
years later still following his passion!
StyleSpeak talks to the world-class
hairdresser.
Tell us about your journey
from being a hair dresser to
the global hair expert that you
are today?
I started working in creative fashion
and beauty projects starting at a
young age.However, the turning point
for me was during a visit to New York
City. It made me realise that this could
be a potential career. I fell in love with
hair styling and from that day forward,
it has been my passion. I started
with Moroccanoil almost at the very
beginning. Now that we have grown and
are sold in over 60 countries. My focus,
as Global Moroccanoil Ambassador,
is really on travelling around the globe
introducing our brand and sharing the
Moroccanoil experience. I now lead the
hair team at fashion week shows around
the globe and educate on our products
and brand.
How do you retain the
uniqueness of the brand?
Moroccanoil is the global leader and
pioneer in oil-infused hair care products.
Prior to Moroccanoil, the use of oil in the
hair was unconventional in many parts
of the world. The innovative, luxury hair
products address the needs of all hair
types with easy-to-use, performance-
driven formulas, and have become
world-renowned for their lightweight
texture, natural-looking results and
the unique way they instantly absorb
into the hair. Additionally, the signature

What are the most challenging
aspects of your job and
what do you enjoy the
most?
I find my job extremely rewarding
that the only major challenge is
overcoming the jetlag and adjusting
to all of the different time zones
since I travel so often.
As Global Moroccanoil
Ambassador, I have had the
opportunity to meet people and
see places. However, the most
rewarding part of being in this
position is that I get to communicate
my experiences through sharing and
showing other people what I love
to do. There is no experience more
rewarding than seeing others I work
with accomplishing their own goals
as well.

What inspires you in this
business?
My best inspiration comes from my
travels around the world. I truly enjoy
walking around the marketplaces and
cultural areas of a city and paying
attention to the little details that make
the city and its women beautiful and
unique.
Your clientele.
Due to contractual issues with celebrities
we can’t reveal specific names.
However, Moroccanoil has a huge
celebrity following and you can always
find celebrities styled with our products
on the red carpet whether it is to style
Diane Kruger’s hair or Naomi Watts’
hair for the 72nd Annual Golden Globe
Awards.
What kind of marketing
strategy does the brand
follow?
For our INSPIRED BY

we are unveiling the
powerful stories behind
five passionate and
courageous women
who take confidence,
compassion, and
strength to a whole
new level. We hope their incredibly
moving stories and accomplishments
will serve as the catalyst that inspires all

How do you see the hair
fashion trends of India
different/ similar from the rest
of the world?
Compared with other cultures, Indian
women love to keep their hair long
and healthy with lots of natural shine.
Moroccanoil's luxurious oil infused
products help increase the natural
shine and elasticity of the hair, so hair
looks and feels healthy and naturally
gorgeous- making our products a
natural fit for the India Market!
Your future endeavours.
As for the future, it’s really all about
continuing to be happy with what I do
and being able to make a difference in
