There are three kinds of data marts
 dependent Data Mart
 Independent Data Mart
 Hybrid Data Mart

5. DEPENDENT DATA MART
dependent data mart is created by drawing
from warehouse that already exists

6. INDEPENDENT DATA MART
 Independent data marts are created by drawing
data directly from operational, external or both
sources
 Data marts is created without help of data
warehouse

7. HYBRID DATA MART
This type of data marts can take data from
data warehouses or operational systems.

Stores data closer-that enhances performance
