2. The Dark Knight Rises Trailer
The Dar Knight Rises is a hybrid of many genres but it also
has a thriller element to it. Bane is a villain that comes
out of nowhere and decides to destroy Gotham, when
a man asks, “what are you?”, Bane replies “I’m
Gotham’s Reckoning”. This keeps the mystery going in
the movie. It is a conventional thriller in terms of Bane
leaving obstacles for Batman to tackle and overcome.
There is also a mystery as to what happens when we
see Bane walking away with a piece of Batman’s mask
that’s been broken off. Has Batman really been
defeated? This keeps the audience on the edge of their
seats and dying to find out what happens.
3. The Dark Knight Rises Poster
The poster shows Batman
standing with the background
of fire in the shape of the Bat-
Signal. The posters dark colours
as well as Batman’s black suit
keeps the mystery of the
movie. The tagline of the movie
is “a fire will rise”, this keeps
the audience hooked as to
what it means.
4. Magazine Cover
This shows Batman aiming a new
weapon at something. This
further enhances the mystery as
to what is the weapon? What is
he aiming at? The magazine helps
keep the mystery by choosing
dark colours in the background.
For example if they chose bright
colours then it will show Batman
in a positive light when in
essence Batman is dark and uses
the dark as a weapon.
