  14. 14. 1 1 How  you  can  help   Participate   Our  mission  is  to  promote  and  facilitate  an   inclusive  civic  conversation.  Every  time  you  log   on  to  NOWCastSA.com  to  read  about  local   happenings  or  tune  in  to  a  live  webcast,  you  are   equipped  to  join  the  conversation.  Take  the   next  step  and  post  your  comments  and   feedback,  share  news  with  your  friends  and  tell   people  about  that  last  video  you  watched.     Do  you  like  to  write?  Take  photos?  Make  videos?  Use  those  skills  to  document  what  is  going  on  in  your   neighborhood  and  share  your  news  with  the  community  on  NOWCastSA.com.     Are  you  intrigued  by  community  journalism,  but  don’t  have  the  faintest  idea  of  where  to  start?  Let  us   help!  Make  sure  you  are  subscribed  to  the  NOWCastSA  newsletter  so  we  can  let  you  know  about  our   next  free  training,  or  send  us  an  email  at  news@nowcastsa.org  to  let  us  know  what  you  need  help   with.  We  want  to  help  you  share  your  news.
  15. 15. 1 2   Donate   Your  donation  can  help  us  open  the  room  with  a  webcast,  so  a  single   mother  can  participate  in  a  SA2020  planning  meeting  from  home  while   she  makes  dinner  for  her  family.     Your  donation  of  just  $25  can  help  NOWCastSA  train  more  community   journalists  to  investigate  what's  really  behind  the  childhood  obesity   epidemic  or  help  them  chronicle  the  celebrations  that  are  puro  San   Antonio.     Your  donation  will  fund  interactive,  bumper-‐to-‐bumper  webcasts  of  community  workshops,  hearings   and  meetings.  It  will  let  more  people  join  in  the  conversation  to  tackle  issues  from  stray  dogs  to  food,   parks,  streets  and  sidewalks,  education,  housing  and  the  environment.     Your  support  will  help  build  a  better  informed  and  more  connected  community.     Keep  democracy  healthy  by  donating  to  NOWCastSA  today  at  http://nowcastsa.com/donate  or  send   your  check  made  out  to  NOWCastSA  to:   NOWCastSA   600  Soledad,  6th  Floor   San  Antonio,  TX  78205
  16. 16. 1 3   Fundraise   Want  to  help  NOWCastSA  keep  the  lights  on  and  the  news  flowing?    NOWCastSA  has  partnered  with   Razoo  to  make  peer-‐to-‐peer  fundraising  fun  and  easy.  You  can  use  your  birthday,  athletic  endeavors,   wedding,  or  other  milestones  to  ask  your  friends  and  family  to  support  NOWCastSA.  Get  started  on   your  own  or  gather  your  friends  and  colleagues  to  create  a  team.         Not  sure  how  to  begin?    Check  out  http://www.razoo.com/p/fundraising-‐ideas  for  suggestions  or   contact  Amanda  Evrard  at  amanda@nowcastsa.org  or  970-‐222-‐1847  for  help.
