2. Bilabials:
• The sounds produced by articulation of both lips
e.g. [p], [b]
Dental:
• The sounds which are produced with the articulation on
teeth
e.g. [θ] , [ð]

3. Labiodentals:
• The sounds produced by the articulation of both teeth and
lips e.g. [f], [v]
Alveolar:
• The sounds produced by the articulation on alveolar ridge
e.g. [t], [d]

4. Post-Alveolar:
• The sounds produced at post edge of alveolar ridge
e.g. [ʃ], [ʒ]
Palate:
• The sounds produced because of articulation on
palate e.g. [j]

5. Velar:
• The sounds produced by articulation at velum
e.g. [k] , [g]
Glottal:
• The sounds produced by articulation in glottis
e.g. [h]
