2. WHAT IS A FORCE?
A force is a push or pull.
The size of force is measured in
Newtons (N).
Forces always act in opposite pairs.
There are two types of forces;
• Contact forces
• Non-contact
3. MEASURING FORCES
Newton (N) is the SI unit (International System of units) of
force.
The size of force is measured in newton (N).
1 Newton = 100 grams.
Forces can be measured using forcemeters or spring
balences.
7. GRAVITATIONAL FORCE
Gravitational force or gravity is the between two masses
force of attraction like magnetic force it is non-contact force.
It always pull objects to the center of the earth.
This force is observed easily between large masses
8. WEIGHT VS. MASS
The weight of an object Is the gravitational force acting on the
object.
An object on Earth has weight because of the gravitational force
between the object and the Earth.
SI unit of Force is Newton (N).
Whereas, Mass is the amount of matter in an object.
This means that the mass will remain the same but weight will
change according to gravitational force.
SI unit of mass is Kilogram (Kg).
