Bio: I received my introduction to laboratory animal science when I became a student contractor conducting research with the US Army at USAMRICD in Edgewood, MD. I had been previously pursuing my interst in animal behavior and health as a technician through several veterinary hospitals. I spent over 13 years in the veterinary field with large and small animals. I continued coursework in the animal sciences and broadened my knowledge by finishing a degree in Biology-Science education when I discovered I loved to teach.
