Pay attention to the trees surrounding the village
Israel is the only country over the last 100 years to see a net gain of trees. Donating money every year to plant trees via the Karen Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund is a worldwide Jewish priority, and a model that many countries have copied as they attempt to afforest their lost lands.
KKL-JNF also conducts research to understand what trees grow well in the desert, surviving on winter runoff alone, and which do better in wetter, more temperate zones like the Galilee region

I want to try to deliver some of the unique cultural issues of our independence day.
One of the unique things about our independence day is that it has a unique pairing.
The night before we have the remembrance day for the soldier and the victims of terror attack.
Stores, shops, restaurants are closed starting at 08:00 PM
Radio plays sad songs
TV is broadcasting ceremonies and documentary
The reason for the pairing of the independence day to the the remembrance day is that we want to always remember those that paid the price. Those that made it happen, that thanks to their sacrifice we achieved and obtained our independence.
In this day, each military unit is honoring her victims with visiting the grave and saluting the victims.
We also have a moment of remembrance where a siren is heard and people stop whatever they are doing and take a minute of silence to remember.
In the picture you see that even people driving the highway will stop and give respect.
To give you better feeling here is what it looks like.
Independence Days Celebrations starts at 8:00 PM just after the official ceremony closing the remembrance days events.
We hang flags outside and on our cars
We have official celebration ceremonies
Every city Has a fireworks
Following we have must popular Israeli bands performing in every city.
The independence day is one of 2 days in a year that police will not stop noisy party.
The right to remain happy.
Teenagers and kids celebrate independence spraying each other with artificial foam spray.
