3. Coursework offered by the Department
of Education and Behavioral Sciences
will be delivered in a way that
incorporates CVUHSD priorities and
approaches to learning environment;
student engagement; monitoring
student learning; and readiness for
college and career.
The CVUHSD/UC San Diego Induction
program aligns with broader parameters
established by the California
Commission on Teacher Credentialing
(CCTC) but remains dedicated to
meeting the unique needs of the
individual practitioner.
CONTEXTUALLY GROUNDED
4. Courses offered in an online format on our Blackboard platform
beginning January, 2019.
Dedicated Onsite Support: CVUHSD Site-Based Partner will work
collaboratively with candidates and university -based mentors to ensure
that participating teachers have access to local advisement and
resources and that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Standards Based: The two-year induction program revolves around the six
California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP), incorporated
into the candidate’s Individual Learning Plan (ILP).
Attending to Unique Needs: The admissions committee reviews materials
carefully and issues a planned course of study that identifies additional
requirements (for out-of-state teachers) and availability of the Early
Completion Option (ECO) for eligible candidates.

and nonrenewable resource. Our program has two foci: your

university to troubleshoot, answer questions, enroll you in
