PTSD CAMPAIGN PROPOSAL
DAVID HICKSON HARVEY WHATLEY DANIEL HUYNH JOHN-MICHAEL
“NOT ALL WOUNDS ARE VISIBLE…”
The slogan aims at the fact that even though you may not see ones problems
physically, they still exist mentally.
To shine light on the growing frequency of PTSD. Since this disorder came to
light, starting from the Vietnam War, more and more soldiers have become
inflicted with this harmful disorder.
PURPOSE
Slogan explanation
Audience
• We are targeting soldiers, war veterans, and anyone who actually has a
relationship with a person who may become or already has the disorder.
• We are mostly focused on the soldiers and their families since they
protect our country and most of them are affected by this disorder. We
want to really focus on them because, as said earlier, the person or people
close to the inflicted person would have to deal and conform to the
everyday affliction of the disorder.
GOALS OF CAMPAIGN
• Our main goal is to get information on this terrible disorder to everyone who
needs ,or wants information on this disorder. Also, we want to tell the veterans
or even those new to the military about what they may have/ get from combat.
• We want to organize an event for every one, but mainly the veterans and
soldiers, to come out and enjoy themselves while learning about this disorder.
Put the affected around people in similar situations, so they came feel
comfortable around others who actually understand their situation. Plus, we want
to try to raise money for the veterans who unable to afford their medications
such as Antipsychotics, antidepressants, and Prazosin.
• At the start, we will reach out to all Georgia veterans then later spread our
campaign around the United States of America.
Existing problem
• Many war veterans coming back from war and others with PTSD are
experiencing this disorder. Some may experience terrible flashbacks, may
avoid people, places, thoughts, or situations that may remind him or her of the
trauma, and/or have increased excessive emotions; problems relating to others,
including feeling or showing affection; difficulty falling or staying asleep;
irritability; outbursts of anger; difficulty concentrating; and being "jumpy" or
easily startled. The person may also suffer physical symptoms, such as
increased blood pressure and heart rate, rapid breathing, muscle tension,
nausea, and diarrhea.
• They mostly never want to talk about due to embarrassment of the trauma or
excessive pride. This campaign will put them in an open environment where
they can freely or discreetly talk about their problems.
• We would like to partner with the U.S military and other groups to get the word out
about our campaign. Also, we will use Social Networking (Facebook, Twitter, Reddit,
YouTube, and Instagram) to spread the word among the younger generation who
might not know that they have PTSD.
• Time is of the essence with this campaign. As time goes, more and more are
diagnosed with this disorder. These sites and organizations will allow for quick
spreading of our message and gather people to our cause.

What was the most
difficult part of the
project?
The most difficult part of
the project was trying to
make sure our budget
was accurate and
creating an event to bring
the people affected and
raise awareness to the
health problem which is
PTSD.
What lessons did you learn
from the project?
PTSD is a big problem for
war veterans and the
people affected can be
helped with the use of
medicine. We also
learned that, like our
slogan, not all wounds are
visible and some people
struggle with serious
diseases that aren’t
always visible.
How did you resolve any
issues or conflict?
Everyone knew their role
and what they needed to
contribute in the project.
Therefore there were no
issues or conflicts.
