• Linux is Platform independence while Solaris NOT
• Solaris OS started as proprietary software and recently moved to
freeware while Linux started as open source freeware
• You need to pay for Oracle if you use Solaris but if you use Centos
you don’t
3. Before you start Moving
• *.acc , *.att
• *.aut , *.conf
• *.ctrl , *.dat
• *.dci , *.dcm
• *.dct , *.dhc
• *.dic , *.dir
• *.eap , *.gen
• *.ini , *.jsi
• *.pro , *.rr
• *.ses , vista.*
• /radiusdata.*
• sbr_id.xml
1- Take copy for the following files :-
4. 2- Take backup from GUI
3- INSTALL Redhat (I’m working on redhat 7)
4- Install SBR am working with SBR 8.3 Standalone
5- Move your files to SBR
4- Install recommended JDK verstion
6. Files to be modified before Moving
• Radius.ini remove Old server IP and add JDK path
• my.cnf contains old server IP
• dbclusterndb.gen contains old server IP
• Config.inicontains old server IP
7. Move Your Database to Redhat
1-download jdbc driver from oracle for oracle 12c we use jdbc7.jar
2-copy file to /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.65-3.b17.el7.x86_64/jre/lib/ext/
3- add jvm path into radius.ini -->JVMPath = /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.8.0-openjdk-
1.8.0.65-3.b17.el7.x86_64/jre/lib/amd64/server/libjvm.so
4-add oracle driver to radsqljdbc.aut -->Driver=oracle/jdbc/OracleDriver
5- add database caradintials to jdbc file
Connect=DSN=jdbc:oracle:thin:@192.172.1.4:1824:DBNAme;UID=UserID;PWD=password
6-enable jdbc fileEnable=1
In my implementation my customer use oracle DB 12c and I move DB driver to Redhat
8. Restor Web GUI Backup
• Open Server GUI : https://192.168.44.12:2909
• From Tools import
• Click Browse and select .XML file you Exported before
• Click Import and its Done
