EXPERIENCE OVERVIEW:
1-Performing all the duties required to electrically maintain a fully operational drilling rig.
Good working knowledge of all electrical equipment commonly used in the oil drilling
industry. For example: SCR power systems, VFD power system, PLC, AC generators and
controls up to 600 Volts, Top-Drives, AC motors, DC motors, Hydraulic and pneumatic
Controllers, electrical subsystems for lighting and power distribution, Baylor Brake,
Wichita Brake and controllers, etc. Troubleshooting repair and maintenance of the above
mentioned equipment as well as a variety of related equipment
2-Participates in preparing the section budget and the execution of major overhauls, spare
parts control, specific repairs and trouble-shooting whenever necessary.
3-Plans and supervises the maintenance, repairs, installations, testing and calibrations for
wide range of electrical equipments and power generation and distribution systems.
4-Worked on many types of equipments: SCR power drive systems ( Ross hill, IDM, GE and
NOV), Caterpillar engine-generator sets ( 3406, 3456, C18, D398, D399, 3512 and 3512B),
Top drives (Hydraulic, DC and AC top drives from many manufacturer TESCO, CANRIG
Varco and NOV), PLC control systems (SEIMENS and ALLEN BRADELY) and mud volume
monitoring systems ( Mud watch, Rig sense, EDR and ID3).
5-Have Extensive knowledge of all electrical equipments and tests associated with the
electrical maintenance of the drilling rigs.

and MEARSK Drilling.
1- Rig 08 (Sep. 2004 to Mar. 2007) 2000HP Rig is powered
up by 3 Caterpillar D399 engines each powering Kato
1030KVA Generator. Drive control system is Ross Hill SCR
system model 1400.
2- Rig 50 (Mar. 2007 to Jul. 2007) 1500HP Rig is powered up
by 3 Caterpillar 3512 engines each powering SR4B 925
Generator. Drive control system is Ross Hill SCR system
model 1400. TDS TESCO hydraulic Model TDT500HS
500Ton.

3. 3- The EDC main workshop (Jul. 2007 to Nov. 2008) where I
have been responsible for electrically overhaul drilling
equipment such as the Drawworks, Mud pumps, Top
drives and the auxiliary brakes “Elmagco”. Also I was
responsible for the old rigs renewing projects and also I
was responsible for trouble shooting Rigs failures and
providing technical support for rig electricians.

B- In Weatherford Drilling International: 12/2008 to 07/2011, I have been working on:
1- Rig 319 (Dec. 2008 to Jun. 2009) 3000HP Rig is powered up by 5 Caterpillar D399
engines each powering Kato 1500KVA Generator. Drive control system is GE type U-
drill. TDS CANRIG AC drives Model 1275AC 750Ton.
2- Rig 40 (Jun. 2009 to Jun. 2010) 1000HP Rig is powered up by 3 Caterpillar 3512
engines each powering SR4 700KW Generator. Drive control system is Ross Hill SCR
system model 1400. TDS CANRIG DC drives Model 6025EM 274.88Ton.
3- Rig 844 (Jul. 2010 to 07/2011) 1000HP Rig is powered up by 3 Caterpillar 3512B
engines each powering Baylor 1750KVA Generator. Drive control system is NOV Ross
Hill PLC controlled SCR model 1400. TDS VARCO AC drives Model TDS-11SK 500Ton.

C- In Arabian Drilling Company: 08/2011 Till date, I have been working on:
ADC is a joint venture between the Saudi Energy service co. “TAQA”
and Schlumberger drilling.
1- Rig AD34 (Aug. 2011 to Jan. 2015) 2000HP Rig is powered up by 5 Caterpillar 3512B
engines each powering Kato 1720KVA Generator. Drive control system is IDM SCR
1600. TDS National AC drives model PS 500A AC drives.
2- Rig AD49 & AD51 (Mar. 2015 to Jul. 2015) 2000HP Rig is powered up by 5 Caterpillar
3512B engines each powering Kato 1720KVA Generator. Drive control system is NOV
Amphion and Drillmec “Startup project and spud”.
3- Rig AD23 (Aug. 2015 till date) 3000HP Rig is powered up by 6 Caterpillar 3512 engines
each powering Baylor 1720KVA Generator. Drive control system is NOV PLC controlled
