Change management is a method that businesses use to transition employees performance
in a company or an organization to a desired prospective position. Change management is
often used to relate to the project management context. In other words, the change
management refers to the process of a project management when changes are to be
applied to a particular project based on its scope and business objectives.

practices on a new project and share their results

Establish a Sense of Urgency
 Applicable if all the members of the company seek it in the workplace
 No need to use Statistics or sales ratio
Goal:
 convincing reasons on the reasons why the business needs changes
 Increase strength of the argument on the need of change in the workplace
Create the Guiding Coalition
 business owners should be a true leader to make it visible for the employees in the entire
organization
 lead the change with other leaders in the organization
Goal:
 create a coalition and / or a team of leaders who will manage the change with their
statuses
Develop a Vision and Strategy
 business owners should have a clear vision of what solutions would be used to manage
the change
 communicate this vision to every team member through the key leaders of every team

 Communicating the created vision towards employees in the workplace
 determines the overall success of the change management practice

Remove Obstacles
 promote the change by structuring it during conflict situations.
 This allows to easily facing different obstacles and applying the change management
plans by executing a vision for change

 business owner should identify leaders in the workplace and give them the leading roles in
the delivery of a vision for change.

 A business owner should motivate employees by illustrating a sense of achievements
 Wins can have a strong positive impact on the employees towards managing the change
in the workplace.

 A business owner can select a number of projects that are already successful and
enhance the accomplishments of employees with the vision for change
Consolidate Gains and Build on the Change
 Declare a victory of the project after a long-term change
 success could be recognized after there were many projects launched and completed
successfully using the same system

 No financial encouragement
 All the research respondents who took part in the online survey will be anonymous before and after the
research is over
 No private information will be available to the third parties and the research participants will remain
completely private

 The change management best practices were applied on the programming department
of Deluxe Inc.
 12 senior managers,
 8 project managers
 100 employees
 They all participated in the online survey and clarifying interview.
Data Collection and Analysis
 The questionnaire consists of 10 questions that adhere to the most challenging concerns of
the change management practices applied at Deluxe Corporation on 8 separate
projects that have been completed recently.
 All the respondents who participated in the online survey agreed to share personal and
professional information for the good of the research.

 Are you a male or female?
 the gender is an important factor that defines the emotional
differences and intellectual habits of both men and women.
Therefore, the research revealed that there were 67% of
males and 33% of females. Refer to the table and graph
below for more details

 reason why the age is important is that people of different
ages make project management decisions differently,
which results in different research outcomes. Therefore, the
research exposed that there were:
 13% of people between 25 and 35 years old,
 19% between 36 and 45 years old,
 23% between 46 and 55 years old,
 25% between 56 and 65 years old and
 20% of the respondents were over 65 years old. Refer to the
table and graph below for more details:

 44% of the respondents replied, “Yes, indeed”,
 23% of the research participants replied, “To an extent”,
 18% of people replied with the “maybe” answer,
 9% of respondents replied with the “not sure” answer,
 6% of people replied, “Absolutely not”. The research
 outcomes claim that the vast majority of people consider
change management practices to be the world’s class
model for managing change.

 to ensure that all employees agree to use their feedback
to manage the research since all the ethical concerns
were met. At the same time, this was the reason why they
shared mostly accurate information that brought more
value to the overall research.

Conclusion
 The research has proven the effectiveness and efficiency of implementing change
management plans in the workplace, in particular, at Deluxe Corporation and its IT
projects. The research outcomes of both primary and secondary findings support each
other and prove a high value that change management practices bring to a business.
However, companies have to work hard in order to manage organizational changes
successfully. When there is a need to create a change management plan, there is a need
to develop a sufficient foundation. This will help to implement change management plans
more effectively.
Research Limitations
 Time and Money
 Some participants were not fully liable to share personal information
 Some of the information provided in the online survey and during the interviews could be
partly incorrect

Change management is often used to relate to the project management context. In other words, the change management refers to the process of a project management when changes are to be applied to a particular project based on its scope and business objectives.

  • 7. Establish a Sense of Urgency  Applicable if all the members of the company seek it in the workplace  No need to use Statistics or sales ratio Goal:  convincing reasons on the reasons why the business needs changes  Increase strength of the argument on the need of change in the workplace
  • 8. Create the Guiding Coalition  business owners should be a true leader to make it visible for the employees in the entire organization  lead the change with other leaders in the organization Goal:  create a coalition and / or a team of leaders who will manage the change with their statuses

  • 16. Data Collection and Analysis  The change management best practices were applied on the programming department of Deluxe Inc.  12 senior managers,  8 project managers  100 employees  They all participated in the online survey and clarifying interview.

Data Collection and Analysis  The questionnaire consists of 10 questions that adhere to the most challenging concerns of the change management practices applied at Deluxe Corporation on 8 separate projects that have been completed recently.  All the respondents who participated in the online survey agreed to share personal and professional information for the good of the research.
  • 18. Surveys Questions  Are you a male or female?  the gender is an important factor that defines the emotional differences and intellectual habits of both men and women.   • 28. Conclusion  The research has proven the effectiveness and efficiency of implementing change management plans in the workplace, in particular, at Deluxe Corporation and its IT projects. The research outcomes of both primary and secondary findings support each other and prove a high value that change management practices bring to a business. However, companies have to work hard in order to manage organizational changes successfully. When there is a need to create a change management plan, there is a need to develop a sufficient foundation. This will help to implement change management plans more effectively.
  • 29. Research Limitations  Time and Money  Some participants were not fully liable to share personal information  Some of the information provided in the online survey and during the interviews could be partly incorrect
