Exploring information literacy
pedagogies through sonic objects
In this interactive workshop, participants will be
encouraged to experiment with sound using
digital and analogue tech, then relate these
experiences to teaching practices, strategies and
approaches to learning within a context of
teaching information literacy.
Themes will be emergent on the day, but the
workshop design encourages exploration of the
following: assumptions about group learning,
group dynamics, lived experience of teaching
and learning, session design and digital learning.

HTML5 content. You can create interactive videos, presentations, timelines and quizzes.

What can I use it for?
Create content for guidance or teaching materials to put online. You can download an embed code so
they can easily be added to websites, blogs etc. There is even a Moodle plugin.
How easy is it to use?
You can create content on the website but they are then available to everyone. You can also download a
plugin to use on Wordpress, Moodle or Drupal.

What is it?
Zentation is a free service that marries video with PowerPoint presentations, delivering a mashed up
version of both for online viewing.

What can I use it for?
Online guidance, teaching, presenting to create a more dynamic and engaging presentation. Teacher-
librarians could record students doing booktalks alongside slides of images from the book or illustrations
the students draw themselves.
How easy is it to use?
Upload your video to YouTube and login to Zentation, you then add the URL to your video and upload
your PowerPoint before syncing.
