ACCESS TO FINANCE
• EU Funding is available for start-ups, entrepreneurs and companies
of any size or sector.
• A wide range of financing is available: Business loans,
microfinance, guarantees and venture capital.
• The decision to provide EU financing is made by the local financial
institutions

SME instrument vs Fast Track to Innovation
Phase 1 aims to cover the assessment of
technical feasibility and market potential of
new ideas. Phase 2 aims to cover R&I
activities with a particular focus on
demonstration and market replication
encouraging the involvement of end users or
potential clients.

Supported are advanced and specific R&D
activities, standard setting and advanced
performance testing/ piloting/ demonstration
activities, validation of solutions in real
working conditions/ certification, business
model validation
