• Software: Cadence (Virtuoso, IFV, BuildGates, etc.), Synopsys (DC, Hspice, Tetramax, Formality, etc.), Agilent ADS
• Skills: RTL & gate level design, DFT, OVM, Embedded System, PCB, Microcontroller, PLC, RF IC design, UNIX
PROJECT EXPERIENCE
8-bit Microprocessor Design and Testing
College of Engineering and Computer Science, Syracuse University, 08/2014-12/2014
• Designed a functional 8-bit Microprocessor beginning from the fundamental NMOS and PMOS.
• Used Cadence Virtuoso to design schematic, layout and symbol of the components inside the microprocessor.
• Used Synopsys design complier to synthesis the controller of microprocessor with VHDL code.
• Did simulations of each component and whole data path with Hspice. Also made some optimizations to minimize the size
of our design, to reduce the delay time and power consumption.
Low-Noise Amplifier Design
College of Engineering and Computer Science, Syracuse University, 09/2014-12/2014
• Used Agilent Advanced Design System(ADS) to design a low-noise microwave transistor amplifier based on the
transistor of Avago Technologies’ ATF-55143.
• Simulated, soldered and tested the design. This design can be used to amplify weak signals received by GPS antenna.
User Identification using Near Field Communication (NFC) On Embedded System
College of Engineering and Computer Science, Syracuse University, 03/2014-05/2014
• Designed a system based on Beaglebone Black to realize the function of user identification with NFC card.
• Wrote a program in C++ to drive the SPI communication between Beaglebone Black and NFC module.
Vehicle License Plate Recognition Based on Template Matching
School of Control Science and Engineering of Shandong University, 01/2012-05/2012
• Wrote, debugged and optimized a program using Matlab to recognize and read vehicle license plate number from pictures
captured by speed cameras. Learned image processing technology and skills of using Matlab.
