Job Description
 BSS front office Engineer in Supervision.
 Monitoring and ensuring the stability of Orange’ network by responding to the active and
passive alarms generated by the network management system.
 Performing diverse network management and administration tasks remotely using the
proper tools for transmission engineer in the field to raise the site to work function
properly.
 Providing first level support and troubleshooting on the network nodes in BSS Domain
and first level analysis for fault monitoring of service affecting alarms to solve site issues.
 Escalating hardware faulty alarms and share analysis to the responsible teams depending
on the type of the problem (Maintenance , Transmission , BSS operation and Data
Network) to improve services.
 Act as the Shift Lead for the trouble tickets team and ensure that the team on-shift
manage incidents effectively and efficiently.
 Identifying faults and alarms, raising trouble tickets for impacted network sites using HP
Service Manager.
 Working on 5 vendors: Nokia, Huawei, Alcatel, Ericsson and NEC.

 Maintenance and troubleshooting for (PDH) Ericsson microwave links (Compact
Node 210, Traffic Node 20P, 6P, 2P) as change CN210, TN 20P, 6P, all AMM
cards, IF cable and connectors. And Upgrade Cards
 Solve transmissions problems (HW Problems-BER problems-LOS problems)
 Perform Hot Swap Actions (Site Reroute-Link upgrades)
 Maintenance and handling Huawei BTS 3900 Alarms, change (RFU’s modules,
GTMU cards, WMPT cards, RRU, UPEU, and UEIU), SW upgrades-Download
Configuration files and testing E1’s wiring and loops.
 Maintenance and troubleshooting for Huawei BTS as check for VSWR alarms
make RQA actions and change faulty cards, health check for antenna feeders,
jumpers and connectors.
 BTS commissioning for adding and removing radio cards.
 Solving site problems (cell call drop, diversity and degradation problems).
 Preventive maintenance (PM) and Audit of sites reserves to be repaired (checking
sites states according to Orange specifications).
 Maintenance and troubleshooting for environmental alarms of sites and Power
system (Rectifiers) as Power one, Saft, Delta_2, Delta_3, Delta_4.
 Perform New Sites acceptance tasks (test new site equipment) and check site
status and reserves
 Co-ordination with vendors, optimization team, transmission dept. and other
departments for problem resolution.
