DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conducts and presides the maintenance coordinating meeting daily with the Area
Superintendents, Supervisors (Gen. Foremen and Foreman) to review, determine and arrange
the priority maintenance jobs accordingly based on critically and urgency of need to attain a
smooth and efficient performance execution.
2. Reviews and discusses the maintenance work programs and major rehab activities with the
Area Superintendents, Gen. Foremen and Foreman and provide schedules, plans and specific
instructions on the work detail and logistical requirement prior to the implementation of
activities.
3. Directs and supervises critical jobs, major or new assembly installation, modification and/or
any emergency non-routine work activities.
4. Evaluates and decides the certain mechanical component or equipment should be taken-in for
repair to discourage-eliminates high cost of repair resulting from sustained operation of such
equipment.
5. Approves the release of equipment for operation after completing the quality control
inspection and functional tests initiated.
6. Coordinates to other department heads involved in undertaking a major shutdown repair to
ensure proper preparation of logistics requirements and compilation of project based on
schedule target.
7. Conducts inspection at the work site monitor progress of continuing job and actual
accomplishment. Provides instruction to General Foreman to correct if any deficiency in the job
execution is observed.
8. Establishes quality control procedures to eliminate or minimize the degree of back job. Checks
that the allotted mechanical downtime for the period is not exceeded.
9. Oversees the preparation of the departmental annual budget for the material and supplies,
fuels and lubricants and capital expenditures usually done in the last quarter of the year.
Incorporate these major projects and work programs for the budget inclusion.
10. Controls the approval and issuance of materials and supplies in accordance with the budget.
Explains to the resident Manager and mine site accountant the variances in the maintenances
expenditures in monthly and quarterly review and/or as required.
11. Plans, forecast and follow-ups the procurement of critical spare parts in all areas of the Plant.
Review and monitors fast moving wear and tear part to ensure availability of stock at any one
time. Controls purchase requisition to the barest minimum.
12. Reviews and evaluates the maintenance and performance accomplishment in compliance to
the schedule. Advice Planning Foremen/Planner in re-scheduling backlog programs based on
critical and availability of spare parts
13. Confers and collaborates with the General Foremen, Foremen in solving recurring and/or
chronic maintenance problems.
14. Controls unplanned corrective maintenance repairs to the barest minimum in order to attain
a combined plant mechanical availability of at least 90%.
15. Keep abreast of all Plant equipment specifications, conditions, status, repair historical
records and regularly conducts inventory and follow-up of critical spare parts to ensure that all
units will be A-1 condition.
16. Keeps close liaison wit machine shop coordinates fabrication work requirement need for the
planned jobs, major modification and rehabilitation of equipment.
17. Reviews and approves plans, drawings and schedule of fabrication, modification and new
installation for compliance with the standard, safety and legal requirements.
18. Evaluates and recommends the performance of new or substitute parts of components under
testing. Checks the quality and reliability to conform with the original component.

1. Establishes policies, rules and regulations for efficient work performance, in order to attain

activities.
3. Reviews and recommends approval of specifications on items to be purchased. Coordinates
with planning section in securing and preparing purchase requisition.
4. Approves the release of equipment for operations after completing quality control inspection
tests.
5. Directs and supervises critical jobs, major or new assembly installation, modification and any
non routine activities hat would entail downtime and adversely affects plat production.
6. Determines and arranges maintenance work required for the efficient performance.
7. Prepares design and estimates of a certain project and personally handles the equipment
selection, construction, commissioning and debugging thereof.
8. Evaluates activities so that approved plans are accomplished in accordance with the target and

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Directs and supervises mechanical maintenance, total reconditioning and repair of all types
Drilling equipment and auxiliaries which consists of Diamond and reverse circulation Drill Rig.
2. Consults and discusses with the project Drilling Engineers and crew pertaining to work
schedules. Gives instruction and work details in the execution tasks.
-Evaluates and recommend repairs and rehabilitation/reconditioning of drilling equipment based
on deficiency and PMS schedule.
-Determines work requirement and assigns maintenance Foreman to Schedules are carried out

2. Scopes out plan and schedule of major job related to equipment rehabilitation and
modification, and relocation project of belt conveyor plants. Reviews manpower, support
equipment tools, materials and supplies requirement to ensure accuracy in job
implementation. Coordinates other involved support group if any changes and / or
revision is effected on the plan activities.
3. Consolidates and oversees the preparation of departmental annual budget usually done in
June and July. Incorporate major projects and work programs for inclusion in the
budget.
4. Reviews and compare4s actual maintenance operating cost against the budget in monthly
and yearly basis. Analyses cost variances and provide explanation of expenditures.
5. Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual report on maintenance program accomplishment
inclusive major project completed and equipment breakdown and deficiency.
6. Conducts routine held inspection in various industrial equipment together with the
maintenance foreman, area and equipment inspector to observe and monitor progress o
maintenance scheduled activities, assesses condition of mechanical components and status
of equipment and raise work order when repair is necessary.
7. Confers / collaborates with the Department Managers, General Foreman and Maintenance
concerns.
8. Plans and prepares the procurement of spares parts in all areas under the department

Scopes out plan and schedule of major job related to equipment rehabilitation and modification, and relocation project of belt conveyor plants. Reviews manpower, support equipment tools, materials and supplies requirement to ensure accuracy in job implementation. Coordinates other involved support group if any changes and / or revision is effected on the plan activities. 3. Consolidates and oversees the preparation of departmental annual budget usually done in June and July. Incorporate major projects and work programs for inclusion in the budget.
  • 24. 4. Reviews and compare4s actual maintenance operating cost against the budget in monthly and yearly basis. Analyses cost variances and provide explanation of expenditures. 5. Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual report on maintenance program accomplishment inclusive major project completed and equipment breakdown and deficiency. 6. Conducts routine held inspection in various industrial equipment together with the maintenance foreman, area and equipment inspector to observe and monitor progress o maintenance scheduled activities, assesses condition of mechanical components and status of equipment and raise work order when repair is necessary. 7. Confers / collaborates with the Department Managers, General Foreman and Maintenance concerns. 8. Plans and prepares the procurement of spares parts in all areas under the department Reviews and monitor fast moving wear and tear parts to ensure availability of stock at any one time. 9. Reviews and evaluates maintenance performance accomplish in compliance to schedule. Advice maintenance area planner in re-scheduling of backlog programs when parts are available based in pointy. 10. Collects and files information relative to equipment repair, modification and installation such as checklist, maintenance accomplishment and damage report. 14. Gives immediate information to the department head in matters related to spare parts shortage, equipment deficiency, budget issues and other effecting equipment performance. 15. Supervise in conducting equipment study in order to project the predictive and preventive maintenance program through analysis of equipment condition and current maintenance practices. 16. Prepares schedule of equipment inspection on a regular basis and provide written report on the status of the equipment parts and systems and whenever necessary, make recommendation for the improvement of existing condition.

Provide management with a comprehensive study outlining the goals and achievement of preventive maintenance program that would help reduce cost for replacement of machine parts and components. 21. Analyze the prevailing root cause/causes of failures on machine parts and systems in order to correctly pinpoint the consequential contributing factors – be it may an operational abuse, installation failure, inadequate design, maintenance failure, lubrication, substandard shop practices, etc. Make recommendation to improve the service life of machine parts and compone3nts in order to substantially lower down repair cost. 22. Assists the maintenance manager in supervising maintenance jobs during major repairs personally handles delicate job that requires precision and accuracy such as Bail Mill Crusher pinion – gear alignment 23.
