TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
In the time I have known Mikel I have found him to be a supportive colleague who has always
been willing to listen as well as voice his opinion and concems about Jtudent welfare and
leaming.
Mikel willingly embraced the notion of a differentiated classroom and often sought advice about
how to improve his
-classroom
techniques and how to engage students so that tfr'ey were able to
take more control of their leaming. He took on new learning and understandings about student
learning with energy and enthusiasm and from that many of his students in Sparish have gained
so much.
Mikel is a creative and energetic teacher who expecb and gets the best from his students. He
engages them and they respect and respond to hii commitrnent and involvement in his subject
area' The students like and enjoy his classes and try hard to do their very best under Mikel's
tutelage.
Mikel has made himself available to meet parents and I have been thankfirl for his insights and
y1leltanding when we have worked together to help parents understand trowto neipitrei, crrila.
Mikel is honest and pg"nF respect his point of viewand from that point we have all been able to
work together for the best interests of the student.
Mikel is respectful when dealing with the adminisfiation of the school and he is a keen advocate
for the students. He has an eicellent undentanding of student behavior management and he
willingly provides the extra commitment often requirei in and international school.
I have no hesitation in recommending Mikel for any position he chooses to undertake.
