1. Responsibilities in Mild Construction
Site engineer in infrastructure works in Iraq -Kourdistan. The cost of this project it was more than $ 42,000,000.00 us
the tender Bill of quantities. The needs of the project were many , I put on my best to help the company to achieve
many of its objectives . Overpower the expected efforts to assist the project and in this way gained much experience
that will help me in future.
The extent of the construction site was around to 4,000,000.00 square meters. We were the main subcontractor for
the construction and development of the following: Roadworks, Sewerage system, Water Network, Electricity network
• Daily monitoring of the cost of each activity. (Sewerge system,Water network,Electricity network,Type A material,
Asphalt,Sidewalk,Excavation,Backfilling, Curb stone).
• Alongside this work we had build two mosques. This project was more than $ 1,500,000.00 and worked with
schedule. I was responsible engineer for this project.
Roadwork:
• Responsible in road construction (from the stage of excavation-backfill until the last stage of the asphalt).Respon-
sible engineer for all earthworks..
• Responsible engineer for excavation and filling of roads and houses. Check altitudes and daily production. Prepa-
ration program for the next day or week.
• Daily Program for Machinery works. Afternoon communication for coordination between foreman of earthwork and
plant manager of the garage for the next day’s program.
• Responsible engineer for the construction of an asphalt plant. Building asphalt plant from the initial stage to the
final stage of the plant.
• Responsible engineer for placement of sub base material, placement of Type A material and preparation and
placement of asphalt.
• Responsible engineer in preparation backfill material (crusher and screen). Responsible engineer of a small quar-
ry to produce the material we used for roads and houses. The quarry is composed of three main machines and
other 8 -10 supporting machines.
• Responsible engineer for Curb stone works. Daily monitoring of the contractor. Order materials and planning the
next day with all involved. (Surveying, subcontractor, Civil engineer, Assistant foreman)
• Responsible engineer in making pavements. Daily monitoring of employees for production. Monitoring daily cost of
that work. Order materials and planning the next day with all involved. (Surveying, Civil engineer, foreman, assis-
tant foreman, manager of Concrete factory.)
Sewerage system:
• Sewage system (collection wells, Sewerage network). Part time in the sewerage system design. Construction of
Gullies,Manholes, Pipe system from the beginning to the end of the operation.
• Responsible engineer on the control of the of government engineer.
Building Project:
Responsible Engineer in manufacturing men’s and women’s Mosque. (Excavation and backfilling, Steel Reinforce-
ment, formwork, concrete) $1,500,000. This work relates to buildings.
In the early stages was the excavation and backfill. Both buildings were working simultaneously in order to finish in
time frames based on the agreement of our contract. Our liability for these two buildings itna do respect reinforcement,
concrete and masonry block.
• Direct contact with customers. Daily contact with customers with excellent relations despite the project issues.
• Senior Engineer (2 months)
• Daily Construction Calendar. Updated calendar to the rainy weather and the important events of the day.
• Daily update plans for project progress.
• Responsible engineer for material orders. Monthly list of materials needed by the construction site. This list was
made in cooperation with the foreman.
• Responsible engineer Contracts of subcontractors. Discussions on prices and the quality of work and also for
paying.
• Check best prices in the purchase of materials and subcontractors
• Preparing the monthly valuation for subcontractors.
• Preparing the monthly valuation from the part of the customer.
• Project Manager (1 month)
Management and payment scheduling subcontractors and suppliers, communication with banks, management of per-
sonnel 70 people, management $ 550,000, daily accounting control. Weekly meetings with their supervisors for project
progress and resolve potential problems. Meetings with suppliers and contractors for the revision of prices and of the
Contract. As well as discussion on the quality of their work.
Other Administrative Tasks:
• Daily updates to the Project Manager for the progress of construction site and resolve potential problems.
• Visit the new site and bid preparation for possible future new project.
• Responsible engineer to strengthen existing steel structure for the company garage.
• Restaurant Manager.
• Daily restaurant organization to eat 23 people a day. Prepare weekly menus, receipts of money depending meals
Organization, planning and control of cleanliness of restaurants.
