scenarios of clients purchasing items in the store
• Task 2: Students must complete sales tickets by using
practice scenarios of clients purchasing items in the store
• Task 3: Students must introduce themselves to
customers and give a few details about the store

• Identifying mistakes of cashiers using the POS
system through video clips
• Self-Reflection on a conversation with a customer
Lesson 1- POS System Operation
Students will be able to identify the basic functions of the Pos
systems
Students will be able to operate the POS system with minimal
mistakes
1. Introduce the skill (POS system) through a group discussion
2. Use handout that shows instructions on how to operate the POS
system
3. Model the operation of the POS system for all students
4. Have students practice the POS system in groups
5. Think Pair Share: Students can compare and contrasting life
with/without a POS system
6. Students identify mistakes of the POS system operation through
video clips
7. Students operate the POS system individually in a real-world
context
Lesson 2- Sales tickets
Students will be able to complete the sales ticket with the accurate
information
Students will recognize the format of a sales ticket
1. Introduce the format of the sales ticket with a handout and
quick discussion on what information is required.
2. With partners, student 1= customer/ student 2= sales assistant
3. Students complete the sales ticket with a sample scenario
4. Think Pair Share: Why is a sales ticket important to complete
with the POS system?
Lesson 3- Assisting customers
Students will be able to assist customers with a friendly and helpful
attitude
1. Introduce the skill with an essential question to create student
thought and reflection
2. What makes a customer want to buy our products?
3. Think Pair Share
4. Show videos or scenarios of customer/associate interactions
5. Discussion on the different interactions shown
6. What went well? What did not go well?
7. What were some reactions of the customer? Why?
