I strongly recommend my colleague, Michael Gilmore, for employment. I have had the
pleasure of working alongside him for two years at Stonewall Jackson Middle School.
I have had the opportunity to observe Mr. Gilmore's professional skills as well as
interpersonal style. He is consistently pleasant, and takes on all assignments with
enthusiasm and dedication. He is fair and consistent with all students and has a great
rapport with his students.
Mr. Gilmore is passionate about his work. He believes all students can achieve and he
puts forth effort that is required to meet the needs of his students. His diligence and
motivation to see his students succeed have allowed us to "think outside the box" when it
comes to discipline of some of our students we have in common.
As a team player, Mr. Gilmore has shared his passion with his 6ft grade team members.
He believes students should be challenged and as a result has for the proper placement of
students in Honors classes as appropriate. He is positive and encouraging and gives a
great deal ofthought to his role as a teacher.
Regardless of deadlines or other pressure, Mr. Gilmore always delivers. His superior
organizational skills make him the consummate multi-tasker. Mr. Gilmore performs his
duties in a professional manner, and he is respected by his students as well as parents and
colleagues.
While I will surely miss working with Mr. Gilmore on the 6th grade hall, I recommend
