8. Bieszczady Mountains
• These picturesque mountains located along the border with
Slovakia and Ukraine remain one of the wildest places in
Europe. Visitors can encounter the European bison, or lynx,
hear the deer bellowing and the wolf howling. Other
attractions include rich flora, and enchanting views which
spread from the bare mountain tops and the tallest Bieszczady
summits (Tarnica – 1346).
• The Bieszczady attract tourists in all seasons of the year.
Convinient trails and routes facilitate hiking, horse-trekking
and cycling trips. Solina Lake draws hundreds of sailors and
growing numbers of gliders and paragliders can be seen.

12. Rzeszów History
• The beginnings of the city go back to the early Middle Ages, but the
first written document recorded is dated 19 January 1354, when king
Casimir the Great presented Rzeszów, with all the surrounding lands, to
his renowned diplomat, Jan of Pakosławice. The most prominent
period of the town’s growth, its crafts and trade, was the time when it
was ruled by Mikołaj Spytko Ligęza (1583-1637). In 1638 prince Jerzy
Lubomirski in Rzeszów, became the owner of the town. In 1658 the
famous Piarist College was founded, and was one of the few secondary
schools in Poland at that time. After the first position, when Poland
lost her sovereignty, Rzeszów became included in the Austrian-
Hungarian monarchy. In the period 1936-1939 the Państwowe Zakłady
Lotnicze aircraft plant and a branch of the „Hipolit Cegielski” machine
plant in Poznań were established in Rzeszów within the framework of
the called Central Industrial Region. During the Second World War the
town was partly destroyed and the Nazis exterminated almost one
third of the local Jewish community.

computer systems, audio systems - video,
digital components and other technical fields
related to electronics, telecommunications
and IT.
22. Technician in ICT
ICT is a division of telecommunications
and informatics, dealing with technology
transfer information and tools to control the
flow of logic and data transmission. This
occupation is associated with the startup of
equipment and connections used to transmit
data.
