WORK EXPERIENCE:
Current Work Experience:
Employed as Foundry Manager, working 3 years, at Bradken managing 51-150 production personnel over
three shifts, directing five supervisors, over seven departments to meet safety, quality, on-time, and cost
metrics. Including, but not limited to five “S” implementation, ISO 9000 and 14000 compliance,
scheduling production, overseeing cost variance, utilization, and efficiency, and managing three $2M
capital expenditures to renovate the foundry to ensure safety and improve production while meeting the
EBITA goals.
Recent Work Experience:
Employed as Process Control Engineer, working 1.6 years, at Bradken to manage, delegate, and
oversee the completion of preventative and corrective actions. Duties included conducting meetings
with management and production personnel. Designing, and implementing audit processes, for several
departments, to ensure proper training and improve safety, production, and quality while decreasing
variance and cost. Three of my four submissions for T.O.P. were approved. Awarded “Young Employee
of the Year” for outstanding contribution to Bradken. Presented the paper “Zero Emission AOD” at the
SFSA’s Technical and Operating Conference. Chosen to assist in managing the $150M construction of
Bradken’s Xuzhou Foundry. Employed 1.75 years as Assistant Plant Engineer at Bradken. Duties included:
review of new equipment, composition of maintenance work orders, and purchase requisitions. Providing
and implementing solutions through project management, environmental compliance, mechanical design,
data acquisition, trend tracking, problem solving, internal quality audits, implementation of SOP’s, and
assisting in managing environmental and capital projects ranging from $750K to $5M.
Additional Work Experience: Assisted the Public Works Engineers of Clallam County with project
management and project design, during the summers of, ‘04, ‘05, ‘06, and ‘08. Implemented the design
plans the summer of ‘07 working with the Roads Department. Served as teacher’s assistant to the math
and engineering departments in order to supplement college expenses.
SKILLS PROFILE:
School Design Projects: Managed and implemented the design of the chassis, turbine, and the power
conditioning module, for a portable hydro power unit to operate in third world countries sponsored by
HCJB and ITEC. Developed the mathematical theory for the water interface device. Volunteered for
treasurer position and public relations coordinator. Managed and lead a three person team in design and
creation of a multi-round semi-automatic powder actuated tool. Improving safety and production on a road
crew. Requiring: research, engineering analysis, machine design, presentation, and reporting. Managed
and lead a team to design and fabricate a human powered “rodeo bull” with three degrees of freedom.
Performing safety and engineering analysis, extensive kinematic calculations, machine design, formal
presentations, and reporting. Managed a two person team designing and safely implementing a six degrees
of freedom robot, while leading two students. Performed, programing, dynamic force calculations, reverse
kinematics, and Denavit-Hartenberg method. Awarded first place in an ASME regional competition by
designing a “Sip and puff fishing pole”with a three person team. Managed scheduling, purchasing, and
accounting,
Computer: Pro E, Solid Works, Inventor, Catia V5, Microsoft Office, Magmasoft, C+, PLC programing,
Auto CAD, general CAD, Labview, MAT lab, Maple, Robolab, Mobility, AS 400, B&L, Unibis.
Machining & Testing: Possess average skill in operating a lathe and am familiar with the mill. Performed
NDE, L.P.E., M.P.E., U.E., and assisted in radiography. Performed DE such as Tensile and Charpy testing.
