ZXR10 Ethernet Switch Overview and Classification
ZXR10 Ethernet switch is developed since 2004 and undergoes 10 years until
now. A complete series of carrier-class switch products have been developed.
Currently, the ZXR10 series switch includes four categories of products in two
application scenarios:
-low-end access-layer switch (MAN&BN)
-medium-end access-/convergence-layer switch (MAN&BN)
-high-end convergence-/core-layer switch (MAN&BN)
-IDC data center switch

ZXR10 Ethernet Switch Overview and Classification
The ZXR10 5900E series switches
are layer-3 GE convergence switches
developed by ZTE. The ZXR10
5900E connects services to the IP
bearer network and uses a unified
platform for the access of data, voice,
video, and mobile services.
ZXR10 5928E: provides 24 GE
electrical interfaces, one expansion
slot, one 100 Mbps management port,
one Console port, and two alarm
ports.

Overview of ZXR10 5928E Series Switch
The ZXR10 5900E uses special advanced core chips, which ensures service expansion and
value-adding, extends its service life, and ensures a high yield. Its compact structure needs
a small space, and the dual power supply modules ensure high reliability and reduce the
operation and maintenance costs. Besides, the ZXR10 5900E provides the following

Introduction to power modules and fans
Power modules of ZXR10 5928E core switch
DC power module uses 1+1 backup mode.
NB: The power supply module has no power switch, so it is recommended to
install/remove the module after the power cable is disconnected.

The power supply module has two power indicators, which are described
as follows:
• If the RUN indicator is lit (green), it indicates that the power supply
module operates properly.
• If the FAULT indicator is lit (red), it indicates that the power supply
module has a fault or is in the protection status.
• If neither the RUN indicator nor the FAULT indicator is lit, it indicates
that there is no current input.
